  1. This is really quite simple to do. Pull out the booklet and the format discs that came with your computer. The book will tell you how to reformat the hard drive. It takes about an hour; however, everything will be wiped clean and put back to the way it was when you first pulled it out of the box.
  2. Have it at one of the parks (White Oak is best). Cost is pretty reasonable. Also, I have some left over 40s stuff from the party my wife threw me several years ago you can have. Mostly gag type stuff.
  3. This is more for people wanting to plant grass, flowers, shrubs and trees. Turn your soil, plant your veggies and hopefully you'll have a good summer harvest.
  4. Always, always wait until after Easter. I learned my lesson several years ago on this one. Took the family on vacation during spring break. Paid several thousands of dollars to a landscaper (my brother) to completely redo the yards while we were gone. New grass, shrubs, trees, sprinkler system (this was during the years of the drought) the works. Temps all week were in the low 60's. The Friday we came back (Good Friday) we had a very hard freeze. Half the shrubs died. All the trees died and most of the grass is gone now. If we had waited one more week. Also, keep in mind that this year we
  5. That's what we said three years ago when we purchased our current home. Now we feel we made a BIG mistake buying a bigger home. Twice the space, twice the cleaning and almost twice the expense. A 3/2 is plenty big for a family of four. Wish we could get into a smaller home; however, that's not going to happen either with the way the housing market is. My advise is to clear the clutter. Get rid of all the stuff you don't use/need and you may just find you have all the room you need. Don't make the mistake that we did by wanting more and not needing more.
  6. This has to be the best Steven King book / movie adaptation ever!

    Hey

A ) Had a great visit from a fellow PCommer at my home. B ) Trying to figure out what to eat for dinner / supper. C ) Too blessed tired. D ) Still ticked about not getting my free breakfast from that crappy radio station. (See other thread)
  8. I'm with you 100%. I can't even share a soda with my wife unless I have my own straw. Even then I think of "back-wash" and the vurps start coming. Yuck!
  9. At least the call wasn't from B98.5. Could you imagine them calling you... B98.5 DJ: "What station do you listen to at work?" Listener: "Kicks 101.5!!!" B98.5 DJ: "Um" Listener: "Hello?" B98.5 DJ: "Oh, I'm sorry. You didn't say B98.5. You won't get a free breakfast." Listener: "I don't want a free breakfast. I want you to double my pay check." B98.5 DJ: "Um, we don't do that. We give out free food." Listener: "I don't want free food. I want money." B98.5 DJ "If you want free money you need to listen to the other guys." Listener: "I do." B98.5 DJ: "Then why did you call us?" List
  10. This has to be the best "Thread Creep" I've seen in months. BTW, Anyone get THE CALL yet? I'm way to busy to check the school website or see the news on TV or listen to the radio or...what ever.
  11. Ha! Just you wait. When she becomes a teenager she will quickly turn into a meanager. I've got two of them. Arg!
  12. A ) I'll turn my sound off next time. B ) I'm glad that you do know. So many don't. C ) Not much longer. My wife is looking at me funny.
  13. A ) I didn't say you were wrong. B ) The County Government and the County School Board are two separate entities.
  14. The new complex has an extremely large parking lot used by the public. Better to hold off a couple of hours, make sure the lot is safe for the public before opening it up. Then again, let Joe public slip and fall, pitch at the government for not making it safe and sue the County. Again...err on the side of caution.
  15. This is NOT the north. Get over it. I'd much rather have our children safe and error on the side of caution.
  16. This will answer all of your questions. Have fun!
  17. The best tool to prune one of these trees is a chain saw. Start about one to two inches from the bottom and make a good clean cut strait through the trunk. Horrible trees to keep around. They stink to high heaven once they bloom and the litter they produce after wards is ugly. They have a bad habit of splitting when hey get about 10-years old.
  18. If you have seen this, then report this, including a description of the items you have seen being taken into the dump office, to the County official who is in charge of the landfill. Here's a link on the Paulding County website for such a thing. I think you want to click the "Public Works Department" for the contact and "other" for the type of problem. Fix it Form Link
  19. There are different places at the transfer station for different items like household trash, metals, appliances, wood, ect. They must be placed in the correct area. County employees and the SUPERVISED prisoners do go through some of it to see if there is anything else that is NOT supposed to be there as well, like paint cans with paint, combustible items and other things that could harm the environment. You would be alarmed if you saw what people toss in the trash that should not be there. I've been there many times and not once did I see any of the county employees or the prisoners (who
