  1. The fountain you are referring to is owned and operated by the City of Dallas, NOT Paulding County. Instead of griping about how much it cost on here, why don't you call Dallas City Hall and ask?

Wow. A little over 3,000sf finished 10-year old raised ranch with one unit. Vaulted ceilings in the master and great room. Fans on, in reverse, in these rooms only. Dish washer used once a day. Washer and dryer used twice a week, three loads on these days. Thermo set at 78. Last month's bill was $168.00. This month's bill is $196.00. The house, both floors, is very comfortable as well. We must have very good R-values, great windows and doors and who knows what else.
  3. We have a shower stall and a garden tub in the master. Taking baths just to soak in a tub is a waste of precious water.
  4. Put the litter box in the bath tub. Make sure the drain is plugged up and place training mats under the box. Been working great for years.
  5. I'd stick with the Official Paulding County Link provided for the real results. Enough said.
  6. If we have 71,000 registered voters and let's say for the sake of numbers about 20% of them voted (typical for a primary election) we should be seeing a more accurate count when we near the 20% mark. Don't know for sure that 20% voted; however, I'm pretty sure that more than 4.8% of the registered voters have voted.
  7. 100% of the ballots are in. 4.8% have been counted so far. That's the percentage of the cards cast so far.
  8. They are still counting. So far it's only about 5%. It will take some time to see the final results.
  9. And with property taxes going down (our statements indicate we will be paying LESS on our property taxes), that means the County will have LESS money for their budget. If we don't have the SPLOST money and if we don't have money from the property taxes, what do you think that will do to our County? MORE budget cuts, less money for safety equipment, maintenance, etc.
  10. If there is NO money for capital improvements, then the employees have no work to do and get laid off.
  11. And what about those pesky Paulding County employees that will likely be laid-off b/c they won't be working on our roads, parks and other maintenance projects because there won't be any money? Think they don't need those pesky salaries to support their families? There are still a LOT of Paulding County employees who were laid off LAST YEAR who STILL haven't gotten a job and their unemployment benefits have now run out.
  12. It is not adding another penny; it's a continuation of the "current penny" - taxes in Paulding will stay at 7%. By voting FOR the SPLOST, you are keeping money in Paulding County for the roads, etc.
  13. Since Halloween falls on a Sunday this year trick-or-treating will be done the Saturday before; however, if Halloween falls within a month that ends in "er", the day ends with a "y" and the the day number is 31 then trick-or-treating will be done on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 31, 2010
  14. You live near New Hope? We get this on a regular basis. A very haunted part of the County.
  15. Since you were told from the beginning that the flowers were included, they need to either honor the agreement or take off the cost of the flowers in your package. Just because they fired their florist and are under new management does not negate a contract with the previous management. Flowers are very, very expensive and can add up to 15% or more of the total wedding cost. Take your original contract to them and have the owner of the company make it right. All-inclusive places like these prey on your emotions, especially this close to your wedding date. Don't back down.
  16. My post was a joke in reference to your topic. Lighten up Francis.
  17. Living Rooms have windows that are in the front of the house and are on the main floor of a Colonial type house. Family Rooms have windows that are in the back of the house and are on the main floor of a Colonial. Great Rooms have windows in the front and back of the house, located on the main floor in Split Foyers and Ranch type homes. Daylight Basements have windows in the basement (hence daylight) of your typical Split Foyer house, and sometimes in Split Level houses with 4 levels. Dens usually do not have windows and are typically located in the basement of a house; however, in Split L
  18. Did they make it safe and sound, on the ground, after the those amazing flights thousands of feet in the air in a pressurized metal tube? Regardless of the delays, they made it. Next time take a car, a stage coach or a donkey.
  19. Wow, you actually admitted to doing this on a public forum? What was so pressing to risk the lives of County workers, contractors and fellow citizens to break through a road stop? Kinda wish the bump was still there. Sure slowed the traffic down.
  20. Amen to that! Then again, this is PCom. Someone's gotta bitch about something.
  21. HAPPY 40!!! When I turned 40, my wife threw me a "Pirate Looks at 40" themed birthday bash with lots of friends and family. Best party I ever had. Enjoy your day.
