  1. While my wife and I were walking aound this morning we saw both PDOT and PFD out and about the New Hope area taking care of things. TY PDOT & PFD
  2. Excellent remark there. My wife and I figured let's walk over to the Waffle House to see how the roads were. We were walking along the right-of-way and noticed a lot of STUPID people driving, or attempting to drive to who knows where. One lady was completely out of it and pulled over on the side of the road. I asked her what kind of emergency brought her out in this storm that she had to take out her little toyota toy or what ever it was. McDonald's she said. REALLY?!? The waffle was yummy and we had a nice 2-hour walk in the snow. Did not hurt anyone. Really.
  3. 1 gallon snow 1 cup white sugar 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 2 cups milk When it starts to snow, place a large, clean bowl outside to collect the flakes. When full, stir in sugar and vanilla to taste, then stir in just enough milk for the desired consistency. Serve at once.
  4. Cobb County schools are closed tomorrow. Wife just got the text update.
  5. It's a really cute ornament. I can't tell you how many ornaments were "missed" when folks were taking down their trees. Unfortunately, a lot got broken when the trees were dropped off; I'm glad wife was able to save this one. Now we just need to find Pooh's rightful home!
  6. Aww. That makes this piece even more special. Hope they find this thread.
  7. My wife and I were at the Christmas Tree recycling event today at the Home Depot in Hiram. Someone dropped of a tree that had a really cute ornament still on it. It is a 2-inch, book-like ornament titled "Winnie the Pooh - Tracking the Jagular". It has a date on the book spine of 2001 and it opens, like a book, depicting a diarama of Pooh, Piglet and the tail of Tigger. If you believe this is yours, please PM me. Thanks.
  8. I noticed that as well. While standing in line I mentioned to my wife that I did not know there were that many Catholics in this county. The looks I got from the shoppers were priceless.
  9. All store rotate their stock. I'm talking about having ALL holidays out all the time. Why not?

    Yoga

Mount Tabor Park - 770-505-3885 one-night a week (used to be $40/6-weeks for 1-hour class). The instructor is great; she is also a chiro!
  11. You know a "Holiday Store" is a great idea. I'm really surprised that stores like Garden Ridge don't do this. They have the room.
  12. Okay, I'll be the one since I'm in one of those moods tonight... What is with the lol's in this post. Are you saying that people at the school were "laughing out loud" while this was going on? Surly this was not the case. If not, then why are you laughing at loud over this? Curious.
  13. I'll wait for 11:11 on November 11, 2011 (11/11/11). That will be the second to the last time we'll be able to note such a date, technically. The last will be 12:12 on December 12, 2012 (12/12/12). Today really does not count (01/01/11). Nothing real special other than the first day of the new year. January 1, 2001 (01/01/01) did count as a special day and I remember I was still up in the AM during the New Years party with my children. We were napping during the PM.
  14. Well crap on a cracker. What a way to start the new year.
  15. They will be seeing an Equine and a Trout Unlimited tag coming back to them in a few months. Really did not want to put a peach butt on the back our our vehicles; however, $70.00 saved is, well, you know the rest.
  16. Hello 2011. I can speak for several of us on here that if you do not plan to be better than 2010, then go away now and let 2008 know she is welcome to return.
  17. Any time my friend. In fact I am off all of this week and can bring it by to your house tomorrow if you'd like. You'll need to buy new ink cartridges for it; however, it works like a charm. It has a self leveling mechanism in the printer tray that will always print the CD perfectly, every time. There are two types of CDs (Ink Jet Printable Silver or White) you can purchase for them. You can get them at any store; however, the White Ink Jet CDs at Staples work the best. The HP Ink Jet Cartridges are Color 95 and B&W 98. Enjoy.
  18. Understandable. You would be looking at at least $750 in HFA fees, HFA , anyway for the licensing of most of this collection. There are performing rights, licensing and publishing fees involved in performing, recording and distributing copyrighted material via CDs. I have a printer that I am not using that can print directly on CDs. Far more professional looking than CD labels. If you want it you can have it.
