Our property value went down about $25,000 from last year, yet our taxes went up $125.00 to bring our tax bill to $1,899.66. woohoo!

Years ago I told our priest that I wanted to be cremated and my ashes scattered at the head waters of the Chattahoochee so I can take one last trip down the river and into the Gulf of Mexico. He informed me that although cremation was fine, the scattering of the ashes is a desecration in the eyes of the Church. Plan-B is a coffee can sitting on the fireplace mantle.

You would be surprised at how little it costs for this. You'll still have to get permission by filling out some paperwork, paying a small fee (usually about $50.00 per song plus other junk fees) and noting where the performance is (youtube and the like). I saw something today going on at the Dallas Theater with a bunch of college aged kids walking around the square. Orange signs posted near the theater saying "Student Information" or something to that effect. Might want to check this out tomorrow.

This sounds like a sound plan to me. Even though you'll be making the same payment, each one will add additional principle as compared to your original note. 3K in closing cost is not all that bad either. If it can be dropped a little, and you can swing it, pay all closing costs up front and you'll be that much further along. We're considering a refi as well; however we are strapped for cash on the closing costs. We paid ours up front when we purchased our house. Good luck.

Instead of soap (some people might call this child abuse) we used mouth wash. We're not talking the sweet stuff either. Get yourself the worst tasting (no name brand) stuff you can get and let it swish for a minute. Not only will it clean his mouth, you'll freshen his breath as well. I think we only had to use this twice on the kids. After the second time, not a peep.

Wife loves her books! She hasn't read this one yet.
