  1. God bless Johnny and his loved ones during this difficult time.
  2. I don't know JJ, but he and his family are in my prayers.
  3. Hey, maybe I'll see you there! I look the same, just heavier...
  4. I have saved the info you had given me from several months ago, including your referral#. I get closer and closer to signing up every single day.
  5. It is in the place of the old Paisano's. Near the intersection of Cedarcrest Rd and Seven Hills Blvd, about a 1/2 mile from Crossroads. The food is good. The service is decent. They have live bands from 9:30pm-2:00am on Saturday nights. The first week (3 wks ago) was really good. 2 wks ago, the band really wasn't my type. And this past weekend, it was dueling pianos. I didn't think the pianos were that good, and neither did anyone else in my party. But I tend to think that had more to do with the song requests being made. "Baby Got Back"? Umm, no. Not on the piano. The place is really hopping
  6. I'd be perfectly fine! I hardly wear any makeup - just a tiny bit to work to keep somewhat of a professional appearance. You won't catch me in it on the weekends. I don't wear heels at all. I tend to break ankle and feet too easily. I don't own any boots and think they're stupid-looking for the most part and make no sense in the South. I don't wear perfume. Just soap, deodorant, and lotion. Most times I wear my hair in a ponytail. I'm about as low-maintenance as you can get!
  7. This whole thread has freaked me the heck out. I am terrified of anything living besides the average domestic housecat and dog. And maybe small turtles. I would probably pass out if there was a snake in the house. It was bad enough that I had a lizard in the house over the summer, of course while my DH wasn't home. I HAD to trap it because the fear of him being loose in the house somewhere unknown was worse than actually trapping him. So I managed to get a casserole lid on top of him... And accidentally chopped off his tail! Then I had to see both him and his unattached tail wiggling around. O
  8. Might want to check this out. They had scored a 39. GROSS. http://ga.state.gegov.com/_templates/87/Food/_report_full.cfm?fsimID=4610823&domainID=87&rtype=food
  9. I have anxiety attacks and take Pristiq. I still have them while on the meds, just not as severe. I used to have them while driving (scary!) to the point I avoided driving. A friend said her mother used to have them while driving and her doctor or someone suggested to wear a rubberband around her wrist and snap it when an attack started. Doing that helped me a lot before I got onto meds.
  10. It depends on which section you are moving into. We have Cobb EMC, but some have Graystone Power. We have Paulding Water, AT&T, DirectTV. Someone just moved in next door and they had to wait to get AT&T because there weren't enough lines available or something. PM me if you'd like any additional info.
  11. Welcome to the area! I've heard New Hope Animal Hospital is great. I use Dr Jessica Morin as my dentist and like her. I don't have a primary care doc so can't help you there.
  12. I used Publix for my cake and flowers and they were both incredible and extremely affordable! I also had my reception at the Sheraton and they were the best deal around (at least 8 1/2 years ago they were). The catering there was super cheap and the food was great. My dress was from David's Bridal. I made my own decorations for the gift table and party gifts. And the Sheraton threw in the chair covers, centerpieces, and a few other decorations for free.

    I-75

We drove home from Chattanooga last night, too. I was sleeping (not feeling well) but DH said he saw 5 or 6 cop cars that had pulled over a car northbound on 75 somewhere south of the TN border. He thought it was odd that it took so many cop cars. But that's all we saw. That was around 11pm.
  14. I've been a type I diabetic for 27 years. She needs a low-carb diet, exercise, and possibly medication or she could very easily lose her eyesight and/or leg(s). Not trying to be dramatic, but it's the truth. Please do whatever you can to get her seen by a doctor. Never buy a meter - many doctors offices give them out for free. I haven't paid for a meter in YEARS. Good luck to you and your mom. Feel free to PM me with any questions you might have.
  15. Is this mostly for Type I's? I'm a Type I and looking for an adult Type I group.
  16. When I'm visiting my in-laws, we stay with them (unfortunately) and I try to keep the visit as short as possible. But it's never short enough. When we visit my family, we stay at a hotel (because they have a small home and a tumultuous relationship). But it's never long enough. Well, sometimes it is.....
  17. I am so sorry for your loss. My pets are my children, and I know how devastating it is when they pass. So sorry.
  18. The Donut Hole for breakfast! Mmmm!
  19. Feel better, Spunky! Still praying for you!
