I can't believe it has been a year already! My DH and I went to one of the "intro to the new library" architectural meetings for it, and we also went to the opening celebration. I love that it is so close to our home, but personally I don't find the hours very helpful. I know that's probably not anyone's fault from the library. I went there at 10:30am last week, only to find that they don't open until 11:00am. Grr.

You're welcome! I love them. I hope you find something that you like that fits well. Just remember, order a size bigger for the chlorine-resistant suits! They're not as stretchy.

That's nasty.

Oh! I found it already. www.swimsuitsforall.com. They make suits in sizes 8-24W. They sell one pieces, bikinis, underwires, tankinis, board shorts, everything. They have a "busty" section and a "high(er) neckline" section for those of us who don't want our girls popping out at any given moment. Sorry, guys. But they could scare small children. I bought mine 2 years ago. I got 2 swimsuits (with free shipping) for $42. They were $29 a piece and I got a bunch of discounts. I am thrilled with the suits and their customer service. If you order the chlorine-resistant suits, make sure you order a siz

I feel your pain. I'm blessed in the chest, too. I'm trying to find the name of the online place that I ordered online from 2 years ago and they were fantastic, even when I had to exchange a size. I'll post when I find it.

I hope you are feeling better. While nothing will ever take the place of that baby, I hope that you are pregnant again soon and that the new baby is all that you have dreamed of and more.

Feel better and take care of yourself, Spunkywoman. I hope you'll be back to your normal, but better, self in no time.

What?? Maybe it was the old scam lady!

I'm so sorry. Keep your chin up. Miracles happen every day. You're in my prayers.

Thanks - You are probably right. I'm right near Shelton ES and Crossroads Library, so I think I'll probably try those.

Great idea! I can't believe I didn't think of that. And dummy me went to the library this morning, too. I have donated my Digests to them before, as they are a bit more age appropriate for the residents, but I didn't know how my pop magazines would be received. I guess they could be read by visitors. Thanks for the suggestion!

I have 24 recent "Persons" magazines that I would like to donate. I don't think a school would want them since they are pop culture magazines. Does anyone know of anyplace near Crossroads that might be looking for donations of that kind? I'd really rather donate them than recycling/Freecycling them, but will do that if necessary. Thanks!

On a separate note, I have diabetic retinopathy and I can recommend her an EXCELLENT retina specialist. PM me if you are interested. I've been seeing him for years and he is great.

I had a horrible mildew-y smell in my upright. I took a rag and cleaned underneath the rim, then I filled the inside with hot water and bleach and soaked it for a while. Then I ran the cycle (just the hot water and bleach). Worked perfectly. No more smell at all, and my machine is probably 12 years old. I always keep the lid open.

I broke my foot a few months ago, but didn't have to wear a bone stimulator. As the name suggests, I'm guessing that it's some sort of vibration or something that makes the bone grow faster? The doctor said that it would take me months for the blood vessels and stuff to grow back through the scar tissue. I had scar tissue that filled the break instead of bone, apparently. All I know is that my foot still swells and it hurts afterwards to wear heels. I hope that you heal quickly! Oooh, I'm loving the swing!

Oh no! Feel better! That'll teach ya! (And I love your granddaughter's earrings, BTW!)

Great idea! I always recommend the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) since I'm a diabetic, or the Golden Retriever Rescue of Atlanta (GRRA) since we have a golden and my husband volunteers there.

These damn carpenter bee traps are wonderful

Thank you so much for posting this! I wanted to order some from someone (maybe you?) a month or two ago, but my DH said he would make one instead. Well, needless to say, it's still not made so I will be going out to get one from Ace this weekend! -
Anyone work at this Atlanta Hospital
Christine0402 replied to AustinPlantation's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I don't know anything about Piedmont Hospital itself, but one of my doctors works out of that hospital and he ROCKS. -
Oh I just love her! So sweet! Congratulations!

I voted for B, but it might help to know what the advertisement is for - website, postcard, magazine ad, etc. -
Jekyll Island for a few days with my family. We've been trying to get back to Destin for our own vacation, but we haven't been back since Sept 2009 right before I lost my job.

As a non-smoker, I think they are great. Scary. I don't know why anyone would want to smoke.

*Whew* I'm good.

I am so sorry that you are having to go through this. It sounds like your boss is a real jackhole. I think it is excellent advice provided by BooRadley. You may have already done this or be way beyond this at this point, but I would look into something called "intermittent FMLA". This is something that I had to use because I am a type I diabetic and my employer was giving me a hard time. (They were trying HARD to find people to fire right before they announced layoffs so they didn't have to pay severance and unemployment - b@st@rds.) I wanted to COVER MY BUTT. I doubt many employees even
