  1. Final episodes of Breaking Bad start Aug 11th! Can't wait!
  2. Culvert Jumping Contest! Seriously, glad no one was hurt. I hope you're able to get some help soon.
  3. I remember. It was Clawdia1998 and Meltid (as a team) at Nashville In The Country. Way back in 2004.
  4. I always thought it was N.J. They are seriously big up there. So big you can hear them coming at you. I can sympathize...it's the same here at my house. No one else gets attacked but me. The itching drives me crazy - I've tried everything - alcohol, cortaid, vinegar.
  5. I was just about to call first dibs on the rocks. Off to brush up on my hanging around construction site etiquette.
  6. Well, it's like this Bubba I'm pretty sure that I don't care what he does with his private parts...IN PRIVATE. I'm 100% sure that someone who is running for Mayor of a major city like New York that is lacking the intelligence that would prevent them from posting naked pics of themselves on the internet is not someone I would actually want running the town I lived in. Heck, I wouldn't want them teaching my kid, picking up my garbage or handing me my Big Mac either. The difference is - he's asking for votes for a major office; not auditioning for Guys Gone Wild.
  7. I think you may have missed the "politics aside" part. But seriously, the man's behavior and the way he disregards it is beyond creepy. He's got no business running for anything. The political arena is screwed up enough without scrawny porn star wannabees thinking that they're the next big thing.
  8. Wiener / Weiner When a male is not mature enough to be called a "dick" If he gets elected Mayor, I will forever renounce NYC as my birthplace. Not that anyone would ever guess I'm a Yankee.
  9. I remember that poster! (I can't believe you still have it) Those were some fun times. Lots of laughs. Good people. I joined in 2004 also, under a commerce membership name. I don't think there was a political or religious forum back then. And although there were some crazy and larger than life personalities that would get everyone riled up once in awhile, (Honkin and 7 come to mind) everyone would usually just laugh things off eventually. Good times.
  10. I believe this case was from 2011. I did see a blurb on the morning news today so I guess it was about the lawsuit. I had not heard of this case previously. This is my take on it also. I think that there is almost always a progression in these type cases especially when the victim does not respond or react how the person wants them to (and gets the authorities involved).

    Big Rocks

How did you know? I'm in various photo editing programs right now...He is in one of those orbs right now with Buddy the Boulder. I put in way too much blood in my first attempt though. Then I started thinking about lunch and well... Meatball sandwiches won out.

I know that place. Thanks. I'll check it out.

    Big Rocks

I don't believe I know you. Please leave me alone. Yeah, I've been doing some more reading about landscape boulders. I think you're right about the weight. Maybe I can dig up some big rocks from the back yard and roll them downhill to the front!

    Big Rocks

I've been thinking that I would love to do something like this in my front yard: There is a big area with tall trees and some scraggly bushes and groundcover that could use some contrast, and I think that some strategically placed boulders and rocks would look great. I know that there are companies that will deliver and place them but I'm panic stricken at the thought of the cost. I wouldn't want anything too large....nothing above a 2 -3 ft diameter. Any ideas? Can we get larger rocks like this at a construction site? Or is it just craziness on my part? And the likelih
  15. Saw this story on the news and did a little research. According to this article on Magazine (dot) com, the accused is mentally ill. But nowhere did I see a specific diagnosis other than “overvalued ideation”—a subcategory of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in which the person does not recognize their obsession. http://www.atlantamagazine.com/agenda/2013/07/02/why-is-michael-lake-still-in-a-cobb-county-jail Excerpt from the article: A mentally ill Smyrna man has been sitting in Cobb County jail for nineteen months without bond for essentially mailing legal papers to a junior-hig
  16. That explains a lot. Maybe too much. When I was still in H.S. (well I was still enrolled anyway) I dated the son of an English Lit professor and an editor of Roget's Thesaurus and the Dictionary of American slang. Definitely one of the most interesting people I've ever met. The dad; not the son. His son was a little older than me and he played guitar in a rock band....need I say more? Anyway, I remember the professor telling me one time that any expression would eventually be incorporated into the slang dictionary just by amount of usage. This was always said with an admonitio
  17. My guess is he's still being a weirdo. (Nothing to do with any changes he's made; just that anyone who would confess to such a crime is a little off in my book)
  18. Holy crap....that's the funniest thing I've seen today!
  19. I remember my Dad used to cuss....a lot. Which made my Mom really mad. Sometimes he would be mindful of this and come out with something like "Jumping Jehosaphat!" instead. Then us kids would laugh and get in trouble instead.
  20. I think it's called the "I'm the Queen and I can do as I damn please." addendum.
  21. What is a cho cho? Do I need one? And for the record; I never have and never will watch HBB. I just get a kick out of the media circus atmosphere about these things.
  22. Oh for Pete's sake. It's not a demonstration at all. There are much more important things going on in Atlanta today. Look who's coming to town! http://www.accessatlanta.com/weblogs/buzz/2013/jul/22/honey-boo-boo-atlanta-today/ I'm dying to know what Mama June thinks about the GZ case, aren't you all?
  23. Yikes. I saw this topic earlier and intended to post my thoughts about the topic later. It's actually a topic I have a lot of thoughts on. But now I think I'll just go buy a supply of bottled water. It may not be what's coming out of the tap but I'm not taking any chances.

    New Arrest

Wow. Quite the story. Or should I say stories? So what about the mom's co-worker? One would think that any involvement in this would warrant charges. And yes mom, that includes just holding the door open for them to get the body out.
