You can have the main house. I'm not picky. No....no planes. Peace and quiet is the thing. You'll have to come by boat. And bring rum. Lots and lots of rum. And tequila. Oh, and you can't wear those hideous colorful shirts.

Really? NOBODY'S got an extra 31.5 mil they want to co-invest with me? It's an island. AND it's even got one of these: That ought to keep the IRS away.

I subscribe to several real estate sites - looking for that elusive vacation home in the gulf for a few years now. Well today I got this email about this property for sale. It's an entire 10.7 acre island! And only 32 mil! Pending my lottery winnings....I could so do that. More pics: http://www.blacksisland.com/8.html

Just like when you make an old fashioned phone call, it's always a good thing to make sure you're talking to the right person before speaking. And that goes double for texting. Sussex man charged after he mistakenly texts cop to set up drug deal A Sussex man is facing drug charges after he mistakenly sent a text message to a police officer to set up a drug sale, police said. The case began at approximately 7:45 .p.m. Friday when Andover Township Police Lt. Eric Danielson received a text from an individual later identified as 33-year-old Nicholas Delear Jr., according to police

I loved Breaking Bad! Mr Chips to Scarface indeed. What a concept....and what a well written, directed and acted show. After Sunday's finale, I started thinking of the entire show it as a kind of "Mid-life crisis gone horribly wrong" for the main character. There were times during the show when I hated Walt and there were some times when I thought him heroic (running over the 2 guys Jesse was going to meet). But at the end I just felt bad for him. But very glad that he was able to finally admit that he did it for himself and not his family. As for my favorite episode....Of theh las

If I'd known that TGIF's was "High Society" I'd have worn better duds last time I was there. Who'd of thunk it?

What kind of books do you like? Favorite authors? I was just thinking the same thing. I was going to post some books to trade; but I just haven't gotten around to it.

Totally narcissistic, self-serving, buy-my-brand-of-schtick display of preening for the cameras. He'd make a better televangelist than senator. If I was one to put bumper stickers on my car this would be the one!

OMG. That WAS awesome. Only thing better would be if more of the players could have done it. "Cause Freddie loves ya. He's gonna hug ya"

I'm with jenilyn on this one. Along with the Dad who trashed the laptop on utube, it's a really tacky (and immature) display. IMHO not the most effective way to teach a teenager to make mature decisions. 1st generation Irish American Catholic here. Make that ex-catholic. And yeah, been there. I remember when the book Angela's Ashes came out, one of my brothers called me. "Mo, you gotta read this book! It's our family in a nutshell."

I have bought a mattress from OMF before and planned on replacing our king one from there soon. Did you know they have a store on Barrett Pkwy?

Okay, so where exactly did the word "twerking" come from anyway? I have to admit; I had never heard it until the whole Miley Cyrus thing. (Yeah, my clubbing days have been over for awhile ) So "twerking" = a twerp jerking?

I have one or two of these visiting the woods behind me the last few days. They certainly are unusual looking! They usually show up around dinnertime; I've tried to catch them on camera, but not having any luck. I've seen other types of woodpeckers, but these are very distinctive....and big. And they've got that unique "Woody Woodpecker" call. Only less "musical" . I'm not a birdwatcher normally, but these are neat!

It's a conspiracy.

Those Alaskans sure are a peculiar bunch... electing a cat as Mayor. I'll bet he's not doing a bad job though. At least he's not emailing or posting porn shots of himself on the internet. Get well wishes to Mayor Stubbs.

I missed this one. But I just got back from "the Shore" (although not much time at the beach) so here's my contribution.

This topic title made me think of this:

I was thinking about this all last night and I just wanted to say that sometimes I get the feeling that most people just don't care about other people anymore. Comes from watching too much news, I guess. But seeing what this young man did for Mr Stobaugh was heartwarming...to say the least. It gives me hope. I know the video is almost 10 minutes long, but it's worth the time.

I'm glad you all liked it. I'll bet I had you all when it came to the "tearing up" department though. 25 years ago I was a single mom with a ten year old daughter. I was doing okay, had a good job and a decent place to live (finally!) and I ran into this guy I used to work with at another company. We started going out and one day about 6 months later we were driving down a street in this little shore town that he used to live in. We drove past a nursing home where there was an elderly man pushing his wife's wheelchair down the sidewalk and they were holding hands. C said "They ar

This should make a few smile...or cry. Fred Stobaugh, a 96-year-old man from Peoria, Illinois has quickly become the latest viral video sensation. Stobaugh entered a singer-songwriter competition hosted this summer by a local recording studio, Green Shoe Studio. Although entries were supposed to be uploaded to YouTube for submission, Stobaugh read about the contest in the newspaper and went the old-fashioned route and mailed in a hand-written copy of a song he wrote in dedication to his wife of 72 years, Lorraine, who passed away in April. Awesome. I LOVED this part: And even if the powers that be at these corporate chains push this “customer is always right” crap because they’ve decided it’s good business to placate horrible jerks, in the real world, outside the land of plastic chairs and soda fountains, adults who throw temper tantrums in public are never right about anything.
