Dallas man killed in boat accident at Lake Allatoona
Bizmo replied to feelip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Not to mention that if you fall out going fast your boat becomes like a missile. Terribly sad accident. -
Rain, rain....go away We're supposed to go see the Braves game tonight. It's kind of a tradition. My grandson's birthday is tomorrow. Born on the Fourth of July.

Charish Perriwinkle, 8, was abducted at a Walmart Friday night and later killed. Police have arrested Donald J. Smith, 56, in her slaying. Smith is a registered sex offender who was just released from jail on May 31. http://jacksonville.com/news/crime/2013-06-22/story/charish-perriwinkle-8-found-dead-saturday-jacksonville-sex-offender I don't believe that there is any "rehabilitation" for these offenders. What does it take for the powers to be to realize that? Keep them away from the rest of us, dammit.

Thanks. Power JUST came back on a few minutes ago.

Utility pole down? It's been about 15 minutes since power went out.

I've never seen the ducks at Mt Tabor get aggressive....haven't been to White Oak in a while. But if kids are "feeding" the ducks and they get a little greedy,; well, that's what ducks do. I'm not really a duck person (don't tell Blondie). To be honest - they freak me out a little so I usually avoid them. But I"ll tell you one thing - that swan at Mt Tabor needs a mate. I think he/she has a mad crush on my lab. I thought it was going to follow us back to the car last time I was there.

Ms. Jean Stapleton - TV's Edith Bunker - Dead at 90
Bizmo replied to gpatt0n's topic in RECENT TOPICS
A lovely, gracious woman and a fine actress. I met her once, years ago, after an off Broadway performance. She was in her 50's when Norman Lear tapped her to play the character of Edith and it would become the role she is best known for. I loved Edith...she was intensely loyal, unconditionally loving and exhibited an acceptance for different situations and people that belied her character's innocence and unworldliness. If you want to see what an outstanding actress she was, get a copy of Eleanor, First Lady Of The World. RIP Jean Stapleton. Thanks for the memories. Those wer -
I love this doodle! The instructions were plain and simple: Draw your “best day ever.” Sabrina Brady did just that and it’s landed her quite literally front and center in all of Google’s glory. Brady, 17, was crowned the national champion of the site’s fourth ever Doodle 4 Google contest on Wednesday, where students grades K-12 from all over the country submit their artwork to the competition, hoping to see their masterpiece intertwined with Google’s iconic home-page logo. http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/technology/2013/05/sabrina-brady-wins-doodle-4-google-contest-with-heartfelt-r

Seriously, I caught that courtroom scene with the bailiff too. I was on the phone with a friend from NY and she yelled "What the hell is she doing...demonstrating how her favorite sex toy works???!!! She is one psychotic piece of work. -
Anybody else watching this show on A&E? “Bates Motel,” serves as a contemporary prequel to the genre-defining film, “Psycho,” and promises to give viewers an intimate portrayal of how Norman Bates’ psyche unravels through his teenage years." http://www.aetv.com/bates-motel/about/ I put the first 3 episodes on dvr (all 3 aired Sunday) and I am liking it so far. What a neat concept!

This song immediately popped into my head: "No More, No More" from Toys in the Attic.

and I thought I'd freak her out a little bit with this topic title. Because I'm just weird like that.

That spokes person was just....awful! (I will never make fun of Pat's pcom newscasts again) She certainly had a unique way to pronounce "anus".

That's it. (Thanks - this getting older thing sucks)

I've been there once or twice. And I always get lost over there too! Their inventory is always changing, but it's a neat place to browse. I love those kind of stores - like Pier I, Kirkland's and that place up off Canton Hwy in Marietta (that I can't remember the name of this minute)

I called Empire a few years back when we needed carpeting replaced in three upstairs bedrooms. The salesman came out and the experience was a total joke. I picked out a carpet and color and he gave us a quote that was 2 to 4 times higher than we had gotten from other places. Then proceeded to "make a call" to his boss and proceeded to give us a slightly lower quote because "they just happened to have some end rolls in the warehouse" or some such baloney. I laughed at him and politely asked him to take his samples and leave. The next day I did some more in depth research on Empire

This is starting to resemble the Diane Downs case. You can't believe everything the newspapers print, but if true this is just crazy. Daughter of Brrunswick victim, Sherry West, questions mother's story The daughter of Sherry West, Ashley Glassey, said she does not want to falsely accuse anyone but she wants the truth. Glassey, 21, lives in New Jersey and said her mother lost custody of her when she was 8. She said she has forgiven her mom and has spoken to her every day since Thursday's shooting but said some of her mother's responses have her concerned. Glassey said she s -
People that say "lady bits" creep me out.

Soooooo. As the OP of this Topic Turned Tirade let me just say... Personal attacks are just not cool. And with that thought let me personally apologize to Tori Spelling for calling her creepy in my original post. I just happened to catch part of a rerun of 90210 while flipping the channels on TV the other day and remembered how much I hated that show. Those of you that had pre-teen daughters when that show first aired will understand, I'm sure. Why, I actually drove my daughter down to a mall near Miami when we lived in FL once because Luke Perry was making an appearan
