Unless the OP is also a moderator here, I doubt she's the one who removed your comment. Why not just ask Pubby why it was removed? As for your original comment, it may be Hallowe'en, but it's also two days until election day. Petty political tricks and sleazy political 'commentary' take no holidays - since the 'other' site posted their tacky attack today, I daresay Ms. Avery felt it necessary to reply ASAP.

I believe she mentioned in the original post that her comments had been ignored or removed on the 'other' site. Said site is 'moderated' and apparently reserves the right to publish comments. We'll see if they post mine.

I always say that when someone goes outside Georgia to play their sport. Georgia didn't deserve to win today - they played a sloppy game. It was just doubly disappointing because I thought this was the first year in a while when they stood a chance of beating Florida. Sigh.

Are you offering to teach us?

Mr. Spock in 'Star Trek.' Nick in 'The Big Valley.' Manolito in 'High Chaparral.' John in 'Emergency!' (I always liked older guys.)

If you hear of a person or place, I'd like to know, too. I'd love to learn as well, but videos and illustrations don't do it for me.

Does anyone HATE this commercial more than me?

I'm guessing the vast majority of those 'hundreds of kids' were *vaccinated* for whooping cough, since it's been a pretty standard vaccine for many years. Most baby-boomers have lived very sheltered lives as far as childhood diseases are concerned. The experiences of those born earlier are very different - I daresay many, if not most, would remember hearing of a child who either had or even died from whooping cough. It was and still is a killer of infants and small children. -
I had my Lasik surgery about eight years ago. I was so near-sighted that I could no longer get contacts strong enough to see better than about 20/60. My insurance paid for 25%, and it was still around $3600. BUT - it was the best money I've ever spent. I used the clinic that the insurance required me to use - it was in Buckhead, near Pharr Road, but I don't remember the name. My surgeon, though, was Jonathan Woolfson, who now has his own clinic - he's the one who advertises about being the Lasik surgeon to the Falcons and Hawks. The procedure itself was a breeze for me - no pain an

I play 'FarmVille' pretty regularly, though I'm not a regular visitor or gifter. I'll look for you on FB, and mention P.com in the request.

They really didn't *do* 'Rocky Horror' - they did a show about TRYING to do 'Rocky Horror,' and I thought they did a good job. I *loved* that Barry Bostwick and Meat Loaf had cameoes - if only Tim Curry had shown up as an outraged parent ....

Pasta Bella is on Austell Road - The Italian Oven is on the E/W Connector.

I'm so sorry. *IF* your husband found a living liver donor, would he be permitted to have the transplant? Sometimes a condition that disqualifies one from being placed on the list for a cadaver donor doesn't necessarily mean one can't have the transplant surgery itself. If his doctor didn't address this issue, please ask him/her about that possibility. Prayers for all of you!

Happy anniversary! I would say dress is Friday business casual - jeans OK as long as you haven't painted the house in 'em. My husband and I tried Olive Tree a few weeks ago. He got a fish dish which he said was very good; I got a shrimp pasta dish that I thought was only OK. I met some friends yesterday for lunch at the Olive Tree on Thornton Road, and got a pizza there that I considered only OK. As far as I'm concerned, the best Italian around here is The Italian Oven on the E/W Connector.

This has been going on for a while now, and I think it's weird, too. It also saddens me that so many people give their beautiful baby girls BOYS' names. I hate seeing girls named 'Taylor' or 'Morgan,' for example, when there are so many beautiful girls' names.
-
I'm sorry that happened to you. It definitely sounds as if they were trying to claim a dog that wasn't theirs - blue tick hounds are prized dogs by hunters, I understand, and I wonder if they were thinking they'd get a 'valuable' dog for free. I hope Frank finds someone who will love and care for him through the shelter. As an animal lover, thanks so much for trying to do the right thing.

So none of you with pre-teens and teens think your son/daughter is capable of: - having a FB account that you know nothing about? - having a *second* FB account that you know nothing about? I have two FB accounts: one that's 'me' and another for gaming - easiest thing in the world. - surfing the 'Net when you don't know it? If they have web-enabled cell phones, they can play on the Internet all the time. (Kudos to those of you who have either disabled that feature or who haven't given their kids a smartphone, but what about their friends?) Here's my point: you can do everyth

I use Carley's Clear and Smooth soap and scrub for my face. Wonderful stuff that doesn't cost a fortune. Great customer service, too! -
Just in case someone else is reading this thread for info on Kaiser, be aware that they offer a mail-out option for many maintenance medications. You just go to their website, sign in and order your prescription refill. There is no additional charge for this service, and it was convenient as heck. The only time I had to *go* to the Kaiser pharmacy was when I got antibiotics, and I was already there for the doctor's appt. anyway, so no biggie either way.
-
If your coverage with Kaiser is through an employer, keep in mind that your rates weren't necessarily raised because *Kaiser* increased them, but because the *employer* opted to pay less towards your premium.
-
I had Kaiser from 1991 until last year, when they stopped covering state employees. I was satisfied for the most part and would still be with them if it had been possible. Kaiser does contract with physicians outside the Kaiser facilities - you should be able to go to their website and see if your current Ob/Gyn is on that list.

Amaretto sours are my favorite, too. That's my drink of choice on New Year's Eve.

No, she won't have to retest - it would have to be expired 2 years or more for that.

That would depend on where you live in Paulding. Go to the website and punch in your ZIP code - it will tell you which locations are closest to you.
