Gonna stay home and watch 'The Good Guys' on Fox. I am *so* in the mood to bust some punks!

I've no idea. Very few people on P.com 'know' me, anyway. For me, it would be more interesting to know if the P.com folks who became my gaming friends on Facebook think of me as Riograce or my real name.

Hallowe'en is not a movable feast, for crying out loud. It's October the 31st.

Try Google Chrome. The ads are there, but they're not overly obtrusive and certainly not overlapping the primary page.

Well folks...it's been 6 weeks on the new job and....

I'm happy for you, Subby - may good things continue to happen for you! -
I saw an abbreviated version of their story on 'Nightline' last night and was intrigued. In a nutshell, this show focuses on a man who has three (soon to be four) wives and multiple children. They all share a home, with each wife having her own bedroom. I expected to be a little freaked out, but it was not at all cultish or weird. I think I'll be watching the show to learn more about them. http://tlc.discovery.com/tv/sister-wives/

Well, my husband is a recipient, too (kidney/pancreas, February 1995), so I'm all for people leaving their organs behind when they pass on. The worms will still have plenty.

My husband won't watch 'L&O: SVU' for that very reason - the 'special victims' aspect of the show gets to him. Can't wait for 'The Good Guys' later this week, though - I am SO ready to bust some punks!

A sweet Looking Old Lady Came to my door.......

I took those comments as sarcasm to suggest that *everyone else* was taking her actions a little too seriously, not as a legitimate course of action. As long as the woman is (essentially) panhandling, she may be annoying but doesn't sound threatening. I don't go to the door for everyone who knocks - if more people would adopt this policy, their lives would be a bit calmer. As for those who are solicited in a public parking lot, either ignore her or tell her 'no, thank you' if she tries to sell you something. -
I'm not keen on the new panel, either. I find myself wishing that Harry Connick, Jr. had agreed to be a judge, because I think he has the background to be a *legitimate* judge of musical talent, but at the same time I respect him more for his *lack* of attachment to 'AI.' It'll all depend on how bored I am whether or not I'll watch 'AI' again.

Helps to get addicted to the silly games, too.

People are having problems all over. I went to one of the game websites, and people were posting about it. Wonder if the main site has been hacked?

We don't eat that many eggs here, but I would have still purchased them if I had needed them. As I understand it, the eggs that were recalled only presented a problem if they were improperly cooked. And it was made clear from the outset that the contaminated eggs were not shipped to GA. I don't get worked up over food recalls as a rule, anyway. I pay attention to the stories, and if I had the item in my pantry I'd probably throw it away to be safe, but I don't worry too much about the food supply in general.

Whaaaat?! I beg to differ: we have the first night of the new season of 'Dancing with the Stars' AND 'Castle' after that. I've been looking forward to my new 'Castle' fix for months!

Thanks for the info. Are these covered bins or open-topped bins? Our house doesn't have a carport or garage, and the bin would have to live on our deck.

It's nice to see someone willing to post about a *positive* customer service experience - a lot of people wouldn't have bothered. My only real complaint about Verizon, as a company, is their use of FedEx as their courier of choice.

What she said. Honestly, don't make a big deal out of a party for a two-year-old. There's plenty of time to spend scads of money on your daughter - at least wait until she can *remember* it!

Do you cover *all* of Paulding County? I live off of Highway 92 between Hiram and Douglasville - if you come that far south, on what day(s) do you pick up in that vicinity? Thanks for any info!

Is Anyone Else FREAKED Out By The Idea Of....

No, not particularly. -
I have a pinched nerve in my neck/shoulder and have been living in varying degrees of pain for about three weeks. In the past, I have gotten relief from prescription and/or over-the-counter meds, but that's not working this time around. Can anyone recommend a massage therapist in Hiram or Dallas? Perfect Touch Massage Therapy is listed in the P.com directory, but apparently she is no longer an active commerce member (the name doesn't show up in the members listing, and the ad in the directory won't accept PMs). If you would prefer to make your recommendation privately, please sen

It makes me sick to think my tax $$ may end up going to this looney-tune to support her ego-trip children. Those kids would be better off adopted out to people who would love to have just ONE child. http://www.accessatlanta.com/celebrities-tv/report-octo-mom-headed-615725.html?cxntlid=thbz_hm

I swear by (as opposed to AT) my Kenmore appliances. My 18 1/2-year-old washing machine and dryer (wedding gifts from my parents) are still going strong. I also love my Kenmore dishwasher and refrigerator.

I've had conjunctivitis twice. On both occasions, the mucus was yellow and would literally 'crust' my eyelids together so that I had to soak them open with warm water. The whites of the eyes were indeed 'pink.' And they HURT and were sensitive to light. I would certainly go and see someone about it - don't fool around with your eyes!

That's why it needs to be a pretty *cheap* toy - something from the dollar store or grocery store. I grew up in southwest Atlanta, and the pediatrician's office was downtown. If my sister and I behaved ourselves at the doctor's office, my mother would take us to either the Sears or the Woolworth's in West End on the way home and let us pick out a small toy. *Excellent* idea! I try to remember to do that myself.

One of my medications for pulmonary hypertension can mess with one's liver, so I have to have a liver function test every month. Thank goodness needles don't bother me as much as they did when I was younger! I hope all goes well with your DGD - it's hard to see little ones scared of the doctor.
