I hope Pubby keeps up with this story - I, too, will be interested to hear their defense. Why three young MEN would go around slashing tires is beyond me, too. Of course, they'll probably plead out and we'll never get the full story. As for the insurance suggestion, that will only make sense if you have a company that won't penalize you down the road for filing such a small claim now. I'd definitely ask to see if your premium will be raised next time - sometimes you have to look at the long-term and suck it up in the short-term.

That would be 'Gangsta on the Shelf.'

PAK in Pink carried them last year, I think - you should PM Anita.

Maybe that's like turning the other cheek .... -
One of my friends posts regularly where he is and who's with him. Several of us have cautioned him about using it so much, but I guess he likes to live dangerously. Some cellphone photos can be traced to location on FB, too, if you have certain apps enabled. I don't have my phone tied into FB, but I know it can be done.

I'm just beyond grateful that my time in retail is over and done. We thought we were put upon when we opened at 8am the day after Thanksgiving. -
Not according to this article, which specifically says there are *not* regulations prohibiting sales to minors. It's possible that Georgia has placed some kind of limitation on this new product, but as we know, if they're available on the Internet, anyone with a credit card number can buy 'em. I can see where e-cigs could be useful to someone who currently smokes, but I can also see where they'd be very attractive to young people. It's just one more thing for parents to think about.

According to what I read about them, apparently it's legal for minors to buy these things. How do y'all feel about that?

I *love* the idea of having the elf around all year ... he needn't appear as much as he does at Christmastime, but he should show up a few times to remind the kids that they're supposed to be good ALL the time, and not just when Christmas is around the corner. I think it would be a good idea for the elf to bring notes from Santa occasionally, too - praising the kids when they do something nice and talking about how sad it makes him when he hears about them being naughty. Children write to Santa, so why shouldn't he write them?

Thanks for all the feedback. I guess I'll give the USB bracelet a bye and get one of the regular alert bracelets.

Have you ever heard of the Vial of Life?

Hoping for some more input ....

I don't know if he's the sexiest man alive, but he's darn close: Gilles Marini

When you are treating someone who is alone and unresponsive, do you look for medical alert bracelets or necklaces to try and see if the person has a known medical problem that might account for their present condition? If you like the idea of the medical alert jewelry, which do you consider more visible and useful: bracelets or necklaces? Do you prefer the ones that spell out the disease/disability or have a toll-free phone number or USB stick that you use to get that info? I am considering purchasing a medical USB bracelet, but wondered if it would be worth my $$. The one I'm lookin

Eh, he's OK. NOT the sexiest man alive, though.

This person DID read the article and STILL thinks he should not only repay every cent of the cost of his education but should also receive a DIShonorable discharge. -
Naval Academy Graduate Refused Conscientious Objector Status

He can have a *dis*honorable discharge, maybe, but there is NO WAY he deserves the same kind of discharge given to those who honored their promise to their country and served. -
Maybe they're thinking they'll get more lunch traffic from local businesspeople and more 'I'm-too-tired-from-working-can-we-go-out-Honey' dinner traffic.

If you aren't OUTRAGED by this, you should be!

As usual on P.com, I'm reading a lot of sound and fury, signifying nothing. No one has proposed a reasonable alternative to the present or future methods of screening airline passengers, but there sure are a lot of people ready to condemn it. I'm old enough to remember when flying was a BIG DEAL. Only rich people flew to see family members for holidays or celebrations or funerals - everyone else either drove or didn't go. A vacation requiring one to fly was something one might expect to do once in a lifetime and was regarded as a special treat. These days, people will casually fly to [ -
Yeah, my husband was disappointed to hear of the change as well. Oh well, you can't please everyone.

Elderly people usually take longer to get through that first recovery phase after surgery. And I've no doubt that her smoking hinders her, too. My father had quadruple bypass surgery several years ago. He spent longer in ICU because he was taking longer than usual to get over the anesthesia - he was awake but seemed to be hallucinating. We were told that that wasn't unusual for older people, but obviously we were concerned, too. Best wishes to your nana!

Back home with chicken salad, a sweet potato pie, a slice of blackberry wine cake to try, a cream cheese brownie for the HH and thumbprint cookies for me!
