I haven't been in there recently, since I don't live nearby, but the last time I was browsing thru their grill section, I loved some of the accessories, which I hadn't seen at HD or walmart, but when I came home to look up the prices on the internet to compare ordering them and paying S&H, it was nearly double, even including shipping. without the shipping, it was more than double. It was quite a while ago, so I don't remember specifics. I stopped going there after that. The only reason I went there in the first place is because I've always tried to shop Ace since they sponsored most

Ace's prices were just too ridiculous. We tried to shop there a few times, and it just wasn't worth it. Walmart and HD aren't all that far away, when you consider that anything you buy at Ace you'll be paying nearly double normal retail for.

I have never, ever had a prospective employer call references. I always ask, and they always say they never received any calls.

It wasn't just your cable company. I got calls last night at work from at least 4 cable companies that the UFC fight was messed up on their pay per view. We only troubleshoot internet, so I had to tell their customers to call customer service, which for those companies, is closed til monday. Most of the people that called in said they had no video at all, just audio.

I was in Cartersville looking at houses a few weeks ago when I saw two guys supposedly selling house cleaning in a neighborhood. I noticed they had no equipment though, and looked very suspicious. When I asked them for a brochure, they didn't have one, or a business card, or anything. It seemed to me like they might be trying to case houses.

I've had that happen to me before, I found a supervisor, and we got to the bottom of it. There are very, very few things that make you a crappy human being quicker than stealing food from other people. And I notice, it's usually not poorer people that do it, it's usually people who are either lazy or people who have money but decide their going to be all stingy and just steal their food. I actually know of one case from when I worked at target where store security had the person on tape walking out of the break room with the other persons food, so the person got fired.

I dislike speed bumps personally. I know southern trace has at least one, that is huge, and I know I've seen them in other neighborhoods back when I delivered for dominos.

Only 50 jobs in 11 months. I sent out probably 600 resumes, and applied for numerous jobs before I got the job I had. I only ever even got two interviews out of the 600 or so jobs applied for. It is very frustrating that they don't give complete info on jobs. It makes it so that you have to apply for almost everything.

That's the exact thing I told the guy as I was leaving, that I'd be back with all of my christmas budget. That place is full of good gift ideas for people I know. I went by today and looked around for quite a while. They've got tools, gardening stuff, lots of fishing gear (tons of spinning rod/reel combos are great prices, some heavy duty stuff too), alot of college sports merchandise, knives, swords, and alot of bedding stuff, in particular I saw some throws that looked like a really good bargain, $17 for queen, and $19 for king. In general, the prices were much lower than at other retail stores. Many of the items had the old price stickers on them, and they were mostly at least half off, but often more than that. If you watched the video, you'd know it was a grass fire that took hours to spread to the house. All the while the fire dept still refused to come out. They offered to pay the city whatever it took, and they still wouldn't come out. This was just wrong. If I were the home owner, I'd have gone totally psycho on the fire dept. Had the guy not offered to pay the city whatever they wanted to come out and help, then I wouldn't think the city was wrong. But he literally offered then ANYTHING, and they still refused to send anyone out.

I always thought DOL could go after a company for underpaying or not paying their employees. I had a situation where I was paid less than I was supposed to by an employer, called DOL, and they somehow threatened the employer, and DOL got them to mail me a check for the difference.

My ex did those things too, cell phone, power, and natural gas, and lied to them saying I lived there, and never could get any action against her.
