  1. Exactly. Still taking it wrong. I said hate ideas, not people. You can hate Islam without hating muslims. Anger and hate are different emotions, and at least for me, the second usually only shows up after the first has been present for quite a while. Once hate kicks in though, anger usually fades for me. I just accept that the idea that I hate is totally screwed up, and that I probably can't do anything about it, except hate it.
  2. I went by this afternoon and saw the bus and truck. Didn't look like there were injuries, but the truck was decently bent up.
  3. Our youngest is lactose, so he can't have the cheese on the pizza, but we just pull it off, and he eats it like it's breadsticks with marinara.
  4. I think you took my statement a bit out of context. I never said it was ok to hate people, but that hate itself wasn't a bad thing. We should all hate the bad things people do, the injustices of the world, and I see nothing wrong with hating beliefs that cause violence and killing. But I never said it was ok to hate people, though in this day and age, it's awful hard not to hate most politicians.
  5. There is nothing wrong with Hate. You just need to learn what to hate, and what not to hate. I have contempt for just about every religion, but I tend to agree with you about this one more than most. Having read in depth about their beliefs and laws, the religion is just built for conflict and hate.
  6. My oldest is incredibly picky, but anytime we go to someone else's home or to an event, he eats what's served, or he waits til we get home. I would never dream of asking someone, especially someone I didn't know well, to change their menu for any reason other than allergy. I'm not sure I'd even bother responding to the parents.
  7. Congrats. I'm going for my follow up interview in an hour, hopefully I'm right and I've got the job in the bag.
  8. Didn't see that particular comment, so I'm not going to comment on it. If the quote is exactly like you said, that's bigotry. If he was talking about extreme muslims, or terrorists, or if he had been talking about extreme christian militias, then I'd say that I don't have a problem with the statement. Does anyone here watch Southpark? If not, there is an episode where they are talking about these issues, and specifically about acceptance vs. tolerance. If you haven't seen it, look it up, it illustrates what's wrong with out country much better than anything you'll read on this board. He
  9. I don't think the problem is that it's suddenly cool to be a bigot, the problem is that our society has gone so far to the extreme where we can't offend anyone. We can no longer say certain things that are true to people, for fear of being called racists or bigots. Being politically correct has gone too far, and has turned into being fake. There is now a backlash against that, and some people are having a hard time dealing with it. Deciding not to be politically correct has nothing to do with telling American citizens who happen to be of hispanic descent to clear your table at Denny's. Tha
  10. I've worked for one in Douglasville for over the past year, on and off, since I know someone that works there, but they haven't had steady work.
  11. Sooner or later the govt is going to get sued and lose alot of money over this.
  12. I learned around 6, my mom got me a step stool so I could reach.
  13. I thought the tag office was in the same building as the courtrooms. My bad.
  14. When you go in the front doors there should be a desk there with a metal detector attached. Every time I've been there there have been several deputies at the front, making sure everyone goes through the metal detector.
  15. Thanks. Yeah, I've been looking since April. It's good timing too, my child support went up last month.
  16. I got a call yesterday asking if I could get to an interview in Cartersville literally in 45 minutes. I got there, and ended up spending 3 hrs there. The good news is that they sounded like they liked me, so hopefully they'll be calling me back.
  17. Target really only competes with Publix. They are both much more service oriented than other stores. We've tried buying stuff at Kroger vs. Walmart before, and we've always found that overall we come out much better at Kroger. We really wanted to switch to Walmart after I stopped working at Kroger, but we ended up coming back because of the extra cost. When you factor in the 10 cents per gallon we get off pretty much every time we get gas, and the coupons they mail us, it's a much better deal than walmart, and I don't have to deal with the crowds.
  18. The rules are useless. If you say the debt isn't valid, they get the company who assigned the debt to them to send over a new copy of the bill, and then they start contacting you again. There is no real verification, they don't really investigate. I've got one account on my credit from my ex wife, she opened it as we were getting divorced, and used my social security number. They never spoke to me, and don't have my signature on anything, but every time I have disputed it, they always just say the debt is verified, and unless I'm willing to spend more than the debt is on an attorney to sue the
  19. These collections agencies try to push that bullcrap that if you don't dispute a debt in 30 days, it's now legitimate, but it's not true. I've gotten several debts erased that weren't legitimate after a year or more of them sending me letters. If it were me, I'd ignore it if it wasn't on my credit report.
  20. When I was a kid we'd either just set the nests on fire, or if the hole in the tree wasn't huge, spray wasp killer at it to keep them bottled up, and seal up the hole so they were stuck in there. One time we actually had them in a barn that was full of junk, and we all ended up getting swarmed. I don't recall what my dad did about that one, I think I was at school when he handled it.
  21. That might get burned down quicker than the book store.
  22. I'll be honest, I didn't even know the building was back there until like 5 or 6 months ago. And I used to drive right by there constantly.
  23. great. Now they just need to get rid of that 103.whatever people's station.
  24. AWESOME!!! It'd probably get burned down before construction finished though.
