I'd love to go, but I have to work. I think he's pretending to be crazy, and it's all an insanely brilliant PR stunt.

Not a bad idea.

I'm not happy with any of the chinese places in Dallas. Honestly, Panda Express is better than most of the small chinese places in Paulding.

The show needs some fresh ideas, and the recent weirdness is a bit of a turnoff, but overall, he's definitely my favorite character on tv.

Have you ever heard of burning a yard?
adam&jessica replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
We used to burn our fields on the ranch I grew up on. The year we didn't do it, the grass didn't come back nearly as well. Plus when the grass does start to come back, the contrast between the black of the burned area and fresh green shoots makes it look even greener. -
Computer Brands: The good the bad and ugly

Possibly... Netgear right now is the one we have trouble with alot at work. Of the 55 to 60 calls I get per day, about 5 of them are because the Netgear router isn't functioning. And with their new stance that any phone support costs $69, even if you bought the router the same day, we are starting to steer customers clear of that brand, even though as a company we try to avoid that if at all possible. -
Computer Brands: The good the bad and ugly

If Belkin is the most hated router brand, then the people doing the survey have no idea what they are doing, and have obviously never used a netgear or trendnet. Belkin has what is probably the best support in the router industry, and are one of the two brands that anyone where I work will recommend. The other is Linksys, which is what I personally use. -
I recently went thru my yearly comcast wrangle. I cancelled when they tried to triple my prices, and the next day someone called back explaining that they changed their minds, and were willing to cut a deal again. Previously I had the highest speed internet, with a comcast provided modem, HD package for TV, with HBO and the sports package, for 65 a month. Now I pay 75 for the highest internet, with my own modem, and HD package, but no HBO or sports package. Not as good of a deal as before, but still better than the deal ATT was going to give me. If I need to make a call, I use google's pho

am I the only one who feels it is exceedingly rude of employers
adam&jessica replied to Mama Carol's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I don't mind it, unless they say they are going to call you and let you know. That's the one that pisses me off. I had an interview in Hiram last year where the couple that ran the business acted very interested, and they said they would definetly call me and let me know one way or the other. I never received a call, and ended up calling to find out that they'd made their decision that same day, and just hadn't bothered to live up to their word. That's a business I'd not frequent as a customer. -
The recipients will only see the one address. The email system your outlook sends thru sees them all, and may still mark it as spam. Gmail is one I know of for certain that looks at BCC.

He was the funny part of the show. Without him, it's totally dead... Any attempt at replacement would be beyond pathetic. He'll probably win the lawsuit he's filing against CBS, and then they'll have to decide whether to restart the show with him on it, or pay him big bucks to sit around and do nothing. From what I've read, the issue seems like it's more about the creator of the show's ego than Sheen's personal problems. CBS has really screwed the pooch on this one, because they just killed one of their most popular shows.

Many email systems look at CC and BCC as well as To: when determining whether something could be spam.

I've never seen this. If I did, I'd have to politely ask my FB friend to lay off the drugs and alcohol.

I never have understood what exactly there is in Douglasville to be a fan of... It's a crappy, run down town that is rapidly turning into the ghetto.

Bill to Require Booster Seats For 7-8 Year Old
adam&jessica replied to NewsJunky's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Why not? They are in cahoots with everyone else. We need to change our nickname from the "land of the free" to the "land of those who can't make their own god damned decisions" -
This is different from a child being interrogated at school. BTW, DFACS is a huge joke. I know of people who've had DFACS repeatedly called on them for doing drugs in from of their kids, abusing them, neglecting them, etc, and DFACS never even contacted them, whereas a friend of mine has had DFACS on him constantly because his ex wife calls up and makes things up, and despite the fact that every allegation has proven false, every knew accusation causes an insane amount of harassment. As far as I'm concerned, DFACS is one of the most incompetant government agencies in the entire US.

How long til adults have to use them? This is getting ridiculous. -
I thought there was a taste of hiram like 3 or so years ago.

CHARLIE SHEEN: ANYONE ELSE WATCHING HIS PUBLIC MELTDOWN?
adam&jessica replied to lowrider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I think the creator of the show is dodging way too much blame. He's the one that stopped the taping of the show, not Charley Sheen. I really hope they get back to taping, and leave his personal life be, unless he is physically harming others. -
When I went to that ace, I never noticed the people being very knowledgeable. The people at the large box stores aren't, but I pay less there, and they are generally open when I need something. Literally half of the time I went to Ace, it was already closed. And about half of the times that they were open, the item was nearly double what it would be at another store, or they didn't carry it at all... After dealing with that a few times, I stopped going to that Ace. Now the Ace in Cartersville is better, I've used them before happily. I have experienced what mark was talking about though, with

I keep to the flip phones, I can't afford the extra cost for the plans on the fancy phones.

Another business closing its doors.....

I haven't used blockbuster in like 10 years. Back when I lived in Florida I used a different chain, where movies were about half of the price of blockbuster, and that was ok. but I'm not paying $5 for a movie for a few nights, period. That's just insane. I'd rather just pay $20 and own it. Is this just in Dallas? I asked about this in Cartersville a while ago, and was told they did not do this. Mine was kicking the bucket, so I went out and got a new one. They really aren't that expensive though, I got mine for $40. -
This. If the authorities in Somalia (not that there really is authority in Somalia) can't handle the situation, we should bomb the hell out of every boat in the country.

I don't understand why no one has done anything about this type of thing. Makes me wish we were back in a simpler day when a private citizen could arm a crapload of people and go kill some pirates.
