Susan G. Komen for the Cure has a lesser-known mission
adam&jessica replied to anthonyr's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Doesn't surprise me. I hate large charities, they are horrible. They weren't the first people to use the word cure while raising money for a charity, and I really hope they pick on the wrong charity, and get put out of business. The only reason a charity should ever sue anyone is if they have money physically stolen from them. -
I have never understood why the government feels like they own the entire internet, which is used by the whole world. They need to stop their crap.

We were going to stand in line at target, but the line was already too long. So I tried to do the walmart online sale, but the goods I wanted were sold out once I got about halfway thru checkout. Overall, black friday was a bust.
-
I'm standing in line after I get off work Thursday night for the 40" Target has on sale. I'd really like to order online, but I can't find any deals that are even halfway comparable.

I've stopped using the Silver Comet recently, I get tired of the nasty looks from the people on bicycles...
-
I've wondered about that too, it didn't look like regular harvesting to me, usually they are a bit more choosy... It almost looks like they are clearing it like they eventually plan on building.

With modems, tv boxes, router, resetting them (unplug for at least 5 minutes, then plug it back in) fixes at least 90% of their issues.

neighbors dog chained outside all night call someone or let it go
adam&jessica replied to stardustn's topic in RECENT TOPICS
If the dog wasn't barking, I'd say do nothing. If the barking is disturbing you, call the cops. I grew up in Florida, and obviously it's warmer there than here, but we always kept our dogs outside. The only people we knew whose dogs lived indoors were people with lap dogs, or those who had huskies who couldn't be out in the heat. -
Naval Academy Graduate Refused Conscientious Objector Status
adam&jessica replied to zoocrew's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I completely agree. I hate all these people who joined the army or used it for college who never planned on actually serving, or being in danger, and suddenly can't take the heat. They should have thought about that before they took the perks. It's dishonorable to take the perks, and then refuse to do the work, even if you offer to pay some money back. -
People don't line drive thru's because they crave interaction with a certain staff. And trust me, the staff at Martin's is nothing to wait in line for. The food is that much better. And you can prove that to yourself by going to any location on any given morning, and watching traffic back up into the street.

Yeah, it's kinda crazy, before the additives, some cultures used tobacco as medicine. I have never smoked, I hate the smell, and it makes me cough like crazy, but a few people I know grow their own tobacco, or buy it unaltered, and they don't seem to have nearly the bad side effects that others do.
-
This is going overboard. If they want to do this crap, they should just ban smoking.

Cops: Former church exec showed lewd pics to teen

I guess he's a little less well respected now? I feel for his daughters, but it sounds like the wife knew about it, and the 14 year old is not a victim. Most 14 year olds already look at porn when their parents aren't around. Heck, nowadays most kids are having sex around 14. -

I'd keep calling them and be very angry on the phone, I bet they'd give more than that. -
They are both crooks. I'll vote for deal just because I know that Barnes wasn't any good last time as governor, and a miracle may occur and Deal might not be as horrible as we all think.

Something similar happened to us at the dr's office yesterday. The parents weren't even in the same room of the waiting area as the child, and the child was deliberately doing every single thing we told our child not to do. Makes you wanna slap a kid, huh?

Take the side panel off, and use canned air to spray all the dust out. That'll get rid of some of the smell.. Then let it air out for a few days. Honestly, the smell will probably always be there, at least faintly.

I've been wanting lasik forever. Once my insurance starts in November, I'm going to see if it'll cover any of the cost, and if I can finance the rest, I'm going to.
-
Holy crap. That nutrition guide is very, very scary.
-
Does insurance cover lasik?

Hubby got a strange story from neighbor yesterday...

If someone thought it was a foreclosed house, or someone on vacation they could have decided to crash there for a few days, and then when the guy got home, bolted and forgot the charger. People have been caught moving into empty houses in the area before. -
That's dumb. Everywhere I've lived other than paulding only set them off if they'd observed rotation, since that's what's recommended, and also so that people don't get used to hearing them, and not take them seriously.
-
The sirens don't go off unless rotation is spotted, and it becomes a warning.

Anyone know where the Tornado is? I'm hearing them from Merchants Court, but the sky looks clear from what I can tell. Any news is appreciated.
