Few weeks ago I almost hit one at a stop sign on S. Davis Mill at night. He was backed into one of the S/D there watching for folks not stopping at the stop sign. A car didn't come to a complete stop opposite from me, and I started to go when a car suddenly appeared in front of me turning with no lights on. He then kicked the blue lights/headlights on and went after the person. Took me a minute to realize what had happened, but is scarred the snot out of me.

Paula Deen Teams With Drug Maker Novo Nordisk

If she really wanted to make a difference, she should have teamed up as a non-paid volunteer with the American Diabetes Association. -
A good site to read various reviews of car years is http://www.carsurvey.org/. I wish I'd read up on a few old cars I used to have before I bought them, might have saved me a world of trouble. Just take things with a grain of salt, but if you run across one with 200 reviews across multiple years, and you see certain issues keep popping up (bad transmission, electrical, etc), might be a good idea to steer away from that vehicle.

Why do people leave their garbage at the street for a week?
Ixliam1 replied to vslade's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I had that trash company (American Disposal I assume) before likely, and my trash sat outside for awhile (before I fired them) and every day I'd call them. They would tell me they would come the next day, and of course never show up. Only way that trash got picked up was when I switched to Waste Industries, and put the trash in their can and they came to pick it up. Still it took American several weeks before they even showed up to pick up their can. I have no idea how they stay in business. -
When I lived in Carrollton I used to shoot some in my backyard, mostly black powder. I did have a sheriff come out one time to investigate after I had finished shooting. He didn't come right out and say what he was looking for initially, asked me if anyone else was in the home. I told him it was just me and my dogs. Said there were complaints of shooting going on, and I told him I called the sheriff's office to inquire about any laws regarding it in Carroll County, showed him where I was shooting from and towards (backed up to empty pasture of several acres). He told me to have a good day and

I have to travel out to Dallas a couple of times a year, and end up eating nothing but TexMex/Mexican food while I'm there. Most of the stuff here is hot plate with stuff on it, covered in cheese and grease. Some of it barely qualifies as being food. I will say yall have some awesome BBQ in Texas, really like the BBQ Beef out there. With the Italian food, wife and I lived just outside Chicago for a year. We got hooked on the food there, Chicago dogs, deep dish pizza, etc. When we came back here, just hard to find good italian food or pizza that compares to it. We ended up buying a pizza

I got mine yesterday and rooted it to get Go Launcher Ex and the Android Market on there, then unrooted it so I would have access to the Prime movies and such (I've had a prime subscription for years). Really love the thing now.

Good to hear, didn't even know Eric was involved with it. Used to go to a house church at his home many years ago. -

Need advice on dealing with adult non-allergic asthma please
Ixliam1 replied to Gipper Girl Rocks's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I've had asthma since I was about 5, been through some experimental drug treatments and up until then was on a bucketload of medicine for it as a kid. I don't take anything now, but I keep a nebulizer handy at home and I'm ok long as I stay clear of dust/mold/mildew and sinus infections. The sinus infection goes straight from my nose to my lungs from the drainage, and the only thing that would help that is a round of cortisone in some form, or other asthma type drug. Over the counter things, I would go with 12 hour antihistamine/decongestant. Why I say 12 hour is the 24 hours stuff is ok, -
I got my bachelors from Amridge University in Alabama. It was a lot of work but well worth it. Whichever university/college you go to, just make sure it is regionally accredited. Otherwise you might end up with a somewhat expensive piece of paper.

Highly recommend Waste Industries. I had the same trouble with American not coming out, and no amount of calls or complaints would get them to actually "do their job". Waste Industries has never missed a single run, and they will give you a PCOM discount.

Local honey works great for me, haven't had hardly any trouble with allergies since I started taking a spoonful of it daily. Just make sure its local (not from the grocery store - that might not even be honey) and not pasteurized/micron-filtered.

Did your parents divorce while you were living at home?
Ixliam1 replied to Gipper Girl Rocks's topic in RECENT TOPICS
My folks have been married for 43 years. Both of them had bad first marriages, think my mom's lasted a few days, my dads a month or two. They got married at the back of the combo Texaco/Bait shop by the man with the silver star, with dead minnows on the ground (as my mom puts it). My inlaws were both hippies and are happily married. Wife and I have been happily married 16 years, my younger brother on the other hand is on wife #3. -
My wife and I were on our way home and when we came into our s/d it was packed. I think I saw the same girl, I mentioned to her I didn't know parents let their kids dress like ho's for Halloween.

Could you post the name/location of this place, or PM me. My jeep is pretty nasty, and I'd love to have someone else clean it for me.

My folks live off Old Douglasville (just around the corner) and said that house was the one full of the stolen goods.

I had a similar situation in Austell. I had received a fast moving award and had to go to night court several years ago. The "gentleman" that went before me, and I use that term very loosely, was dressed like a gang-banger. Low-hanging pants, do-rag, hat turned sideways. He swaggered up to the judge, and apparently gave the judge plenty of attitude. When it came my turn, I went up (dressed more business-casual) and told the older judge "yes sir/no sir". He ended up dropping my ticket down to the bare minimum amount by reducing the speed written on the ticket.

My dad got a pretty good deal. He bought some kinda laptop desk/stand, and when he got it home there was some box all taped up in it. When he opened it up it had a really nice HP laptop inside. He paid $20 for it. He bought some misc tools as well pretty cheap, but he thought most everyone was waiting on the guns and vehicles.

I have the iPhone 4 that I picked up not too long ago for $99. I can upgrade in Jan 2013, so maybe by then the iPhone will have a really nice version by then.

I use Amazon for free streaming I get by having Amazon Prime, with Comcast internet some of the TV shows are viewable in limited amounts. And TBH, anything else I might want, some digging on the internet will get me that.

Neti pots work great for clearing out alot of the junk in there, and you can use it as much as you need. There's also a "snot sucker" that you can get on e-bay (they don't sell it here in the states) that is a small bullet shaped point and a tube you hook up to your vacuum cleaner. It creates a medium suction that will clean you out pretty good. Its sold in europe/canada for use on kids, but works fine on adults as well. Technically its called a nasal aspirator.
