There's also traps that you can put down that basically is a spring mounted spike. When they mole burrows through, it presses out on the sides and springs the trap.

How do you stop using Microsoft Outlook for your mail?
Ixliam1 replied to EagleWings's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I bought a Mac, that stopped it. -
I used to wear extended contacts, but it got to where after they had been in for about 2-3 hours it would feel like I had an eyelash in my eye, and I couldn't see well out of them. Using new ones, eyedrops, extra cleaning did nothing to solve the problem - and I ended up going back to glasses. I wouldn't mind having lasik done, I just haven't investigated it enough to know the cost, insurance coverage, etc.

I used one when I moved back here from Chicago, was one of the easiest moves I did. They dropped it off about 2 weeks before the move, which gave us time to pack it. Then we locked it up and gave them a call to come get it. Next day we left, and it arrived a few days later (got caught in a blizzard).

GA Christian Coalition Tries New Tactic to Stop Sunday Alcohol Sales
Ixliam1 replied to zoocrew's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Heck when I lived up north, you could go to the supermarket and buy wine, beer, and liqueur any day of the week. Having lived in GA all my life, I was kinda blown away that Myers (their version of Walmart) had as much whiskey as the package stores down here. Its not like not being able to buy it ever stopped anyone from stocking up before hand, I always thought it was a stupid law anyway. -

Ancestry.com is a great site, a wealth of info while you are working on it. I've been working on my families history for about 18+ years. Its something that never ends, sometimes you put it down, pick it up later, etc. Some lines you can trace back pretty far, some you can't. I've got one line traced back to around the 13th century, those came over in 1502 and had land in Maryland, fought in the Rev War in Virginia, eventually making their way down here. Other ones I can't get much past the early 1900's since they were poor sharecroppers. What's funny is while my wife and I were researching, w

The one on the left if you are headed toward 61, with the lake and the piles of junk streaming out of the house/garage ? I'd hate to see the inside.

Does anyone here have experience with CC consolidation?
Ixliam1 replied to subby1's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I would contact the CCCS, they worked for me as well. From what I understand even if you go with a CH 7/13, they want you to try them first, get counseling from them, etc. -
There are usually some on Craigslist as well.

Used to live in Highland, IN - I don't miss it one bit.

With the milk laws (raw milk for pets only) being what they are in Georgia, might be hard to find somewhere. Check with http://www.localharvest.org/my-dad-me-family-farm-inc-M22878 these folks in Powder Springs, maybe they will let your daughter come milk their cows. Though not cows, milking a goat might work as well for your daughter.

See if Open Office will work for you. It is free, saves in several Microsoft formats, etc.

Check out Boxee.tv as well, they have a set top box with more options available than the Roku player. Or if you are computer savy, you can build your own from a spare PC. We run a PC on our TV to stream videos/Netflix, Internet and a HD Antenna.

No, Best Buy is lucky if they can identify where the power button is on anything.

My wife just went through Stilesboro, said it was really bad. More like patches of road than patches of ice.

Hiram Sudie was a bit rough in most of the shaded places this morning. 92 from Hiram Sudie to 278 wasn't bad at all. I drove down 278/Thornton all the way to Maxham, and the parts in Cobb were much worse than in Paulding. The hill at Thornton/Humphries Hill was iced over and cars were sliding or getting stuck. 4wd vehicles didn't have too much issue, but the 2wd ones did. Hopefully with the sun coming out it will melt/evaporate some of this mess.

My 4 hens are staying in their little coop with the heat lamp, and my beagle thinks I've suddenly moved him back to Chicago and doesn't like it too much. Our basset hound doesn't care for it since it almost buries her since she's so short legged.

Order a set of winter blades for your vehicle. You won't find them down here, but they sell them up north - or order some online. Where regular blades have the metal around them exposed, winter blades are coated/covered with rubber. Snow/ice won't stick to them and render your wiper blades useless. They work just fine in the summer as well.

$25 dove hunts with my Grandfather on opening day, then hunting at the neighbors across the street from his house on Bankhead Hwy (which is now a frame shop and 4 laned).

I hate to hear that, but when you have used book stores with low prices and Amazon that offer deep discounts/free shipping, what else can be expected. When I see a book at a book store for $25 + tax, but I can get it for $16 and free shipping on Amazon (I keep a prime membership so I get 2day shipping for free), I can wait the extra day or two on it for the savings.

I lived in Highland, IN for a year and worked just past Midway Airport in Chicago. I ended up ordering deep dish ceramic pans, heavy pizza stones, and a case of the neon green hotdog relish after we left. I'm glad to be back home in GA, but I do miss the great pizza and Chicago dogs that were easy to get up there.

I'd highly recommend Collinsville, but like the others said you need to be there when the sun rises. There's very little that isn't sold there, anything from horses, guns, appliances, food, etc. And for the most part its good stuff, though there is some of the junk that keeps me from going to the flea markets around here. Best one from years ago was right at Bankhead and Thornton Rd, before they ever extended it into Paulding.

I'm not getting my amateur radio one renewed next year. I'll just put it on the front of my jeep and get a normal one.

Same thing with me, I ended up adding the e-mails from pcom to my spam blocker.
