    Windows 10

I purposely bought a refurbished desk top last year because I did not want Windows 8. The company I work for--most of their programs will not even work on Windows 8. So, I guess I will do like I did with XP--wait until they make me change!! LOL
  2. It was on Fox 5 news tonight.
  3. The Moore Ingram firm in Marietta, on Roswell Street in the old redone Coca Cola building.
  4. You can look up things at the Cobb County Superior Court Clerk's website, but it's only going to show if the case was bound over to Superior Court. As far as I know there is no way to look up State Court cases. The only thing you can do in Paulding is look at the Sheriff's website, but they don't do a very good job of updating. They don't even put charges on some and they have stopped updating when the person is released. Seems like a County employee is slacking on the job!!
  5. Good luck with it. I looked into my grandson trying out for the South Paulding feeder team and from what the coach could tell me, there were only a few spots on the team. Between his kids and the other coaches kids--the team was almost full. I figured it was just another daddy ball team. I never heard anything else about it, but grandson said he didn't think they wound up with enough to even have a team. I realize that somebody has to coach a team, but when you get to that level--there should be no automatic ins!! What is the kid going to do when he gets to high school and daddy's not coac
  6. I think I would talk to the police in his area. Sounds like the tree guy knew what he was doing and took advantage of somebody that didn't quite understand things.
  7. Is this the guy that live at the lake on Macland?? I seem to remember my Daddy telling stories about him.
  8. Try $40,000!!! And a $1000 bill from Metro for prepping him and taking him 1.5 miles to meet the helicopter!! We have yet to get the bill from Grady, but I can just imagine after 2 surgeries and a 2 week stay!
  9. I think they give him blood thinner in the hospital. He stayed at Grady for 2 weeks, he was air lifted there from the accident. Would you like to guess how much it costs to be airlifted??
  10. I really miss Hell on Wheels. The new season was supposed to start in April, but for some reason did not start. I haven't heard any news on it--have you?? Oh--just looked at AMC website and it says Hell on Wheels season premier is Saturday at 9:00!!!
  11. Best of luck!! My youngest son was in an accident on May 30th and broke pretty much every bone in his left leg. He has had 2 surgeries so far, one to put rods in upper leg and one to replace knee cap and put bones back together in lower part of leg. He went back to Dr. yesterday and was told he would probably have to have another surgery. He did say that he lost count when looking at the xray the Dr. showed him. He has the 2 rods, a plate, and at least 20 screws in his leg. Still can't put any weight on it until he goes back to Dr. in another month. We don't know if they will ever get his
  12. That's true. I had my surgery one week and started a new job the next. The little incisions were a little sore, but nothing unbearable. I will say that it was one of the best things I ever had done!!
  13. Used to love going to the Georgia Mountain Fair. My kids clogged up there for many years. The only thing I did not like about it, was the fact that is was hotter than 7 hells up there in the mountains!! There never even seemed to be any decent breezes around!
  14. They are great folks, although I think the Hallford Bros. have sold out and retired. It has been about 5 yrs since I have been in there, but if I remember correctly, there was another guy running the shop now. I can remember when their shop was down on the loop before you get to 41--many, many years ago. My dad was actually a locksmith here in the county for many, many years and he actually did some of his training with Earl and Merle Hallford. Just always make sure that a locksmith is bonded. So many out there now just learn a little and call themselves a Locksmith and have never had any fo
  15. I think that was somewhere off Ridge Road--towards the other end of Ridge Road.
  16. And even when you do hear something, it is usually wrong information (news channels, online sites, etc.) How hard is it to get a street name correct or a town name?? And these folks are supposed to be professionals!
  17. I don't think I would call Kennestone a "young hospital". It has been around longer than most people have even lived in Paulding County!!
  18. If it was actually incorporated, then you can find the docs on the Secretary of State website. Just search the corporation name or one of the officers names under corporations search.
  19. I think you have to pay the $20 a month to get the massage chairs, tanning, etc. I have been thinking about it, but right now my schedule will not allow. Not enough of a morning person to go before I start work and seem to be working til 7:00-7:30 just about every night. By time I cook a small dinner and clean up--it's too late. And people think folks that work from home have all this extra time!! I feel like I am working more, just not with the expenses of going back and forth. Oh--and I am my own boss--I like that part!!
  20. What does not having the flags at government buildings have to do with all these retailers saying they aren't going to sell any related merchandise any longer?? Get real folks--there are a lot of worse things seen and sold around here. I bet there probably isn't anybody on this board (or in this county) that doesn't have some stray ancestor in their family that had something to do with slaves or the war. We weren't there--all we know is what has been handed down to us. You want to call it racist?? Well then, I certainly hope they make it where these folks can't wear their sagging pants
  21. Many, many years ago, my grandfather was the depot man for Southern in Villa Rica. They also lived just down the street from the tracks and depot. We walked those tracks all the time, but there also wasn't the traffic like there is now. We also put all kinds of coins on the tracks and then went back for them after the train passed. This day and time--I would be scared to death to go near the tracks!!
  22. I have always wanted a Twirl A Squirrel!! It is the little dome thing you hang your birdfeeder from and when the squirrel jumps on the feeder, its weight activates the dome and it starts spinning the feeder with the squirrel on it!! Then you see the squirrel getting slung off the feeder!! I laughed my a$$ off the first time I saw the video!! I think they have quit making them, but there are a few still available on Amazon. I just hate the thought of paying almost $50 for the dang thing!
  23. Oh honey, believe me, he would walk down the middle of the road and smirk at everyone he saw!! That is just how brazen he is. And yes, I have actually met him and his (very much older) wife--even been to their mansion out off 30A (but not inside). Not impressed at all!!
  24. Mine went out in the middle of working!! We are on Hiram Sudie, right down from Davis Mill. I t just come back on and I am having trouble logging back in to work!!
  25. Would it be the builder of Riverwood building these?? I am sure that he needs more business income, since he is doing so well with flipping and renting in Florida! LOL
