  1. As large as the tractor was that did that damage was, it is probably worth the same as those 7 older model police cars. I am sure they seized the tractor when they arrested him.
  2. We had allstate since 1989 for homeowners with 3 different houses during that time. We have never had homeowner claim. Last year they dropped us (refused to renew the homeowners) after a home inspection said we had -- "debris in the yard" and " tree limbs growing over the top of the house". Of course, allstate put the "bad" info and the "non-renewal" in the national insurance database, so we had a hard time finding new insurance -- -and when we finally did, it was $600 per year higher than what we had been paying. So, not only did they screw us once, but they "black-balled" us too.
  3. history tells us that they (women) put JFK in office despite his previous political record, mainly because he was younger and better looking, etc
  4. story today from ABC news via yahoo: "60 House Bills to Name Post Offices, Zero To Fix Mail Service" & "In the 18 months the 112 th Congress has been sworn in, the House has introduced 60 bills to rename post offices. Thirty-eight have passed the House and 26 have become law. During those 18 months, the House has produced 151 laws, 17 percent of which have been to rename post offices, according to Congressional Democrats. Not a single bill has come to the House floor aimed at reforming a Postal Service, which is bleeding billions of dollars because of Congressional mandates."

  6. i just love the ones that either block their caller id or have a fake one display on your phone. I have had calls this year from people selling health or dental insurance with caller id saying "state goverment"
  7. their philosophy is: the longer the customer stays in the store, the more money they spend. By spreading out similar items, they increase the chance that you will impulse buy something else that you were not even looking for. they pay "consultants" alot of money to figure out the best layout of the store to increase profits
  8. your welcome --- it was a little difficult to find due to it being from a poster out of the country

  10. The main difference in this program is they are full time at the college, taking both their high school requirement classes and their regular college classes together. Dual enrollment programs at most colleges require you to still go to your high school 2 or more days a week to take some classes and going to college for 1 or 2 classes. The advanced academy at univ west georgia is the only program i know of that has a dorm for the high school students to live in. With both dual enrollment and this MOWR progam at any college, the student would have to commute to the college. Not su
  11. yeah, fleabay has new otterboxes for under $20 and used ones for half that --- or you can go to the verizon store and pay $49.99 new
  12. The picture and sound on most channels is compressed at the "head end" / cable office. Some channels are compressed from the source and just passed through to you. It is then decompressed at the converter box (or tv if no box). To troubleshoot, do you have more than one tv/box to see if all of them are doing that? Any neighbors you can ask if theirs are doing the same? It could also be the nearest amplifier (on your pole or down the road)... Worthy of a service call.
  13. here is a case where an 11 year old boy died of similar circumstances on april 1st link: http://shine.yahoo.com/parenting/parents-11-old-died-sepsis-hospital-sent-son-183800609.html
  14. Nowadays there is difficulty figuring out what is a "cop looking car", local law enforcement drive various cars and SUVs. Federal agencies like the FBI and Marshals drive almost anything and any color vehicles purchased for undercover ops or seized from drug dealers. Fake cops or wanna-be cops can buy old police cars and blue lights at various auctions around the country online and in person. The agencies selling the old surplus stuff do not usually check IDs, only the manufactures do when they sell the stuff new.
  15. to answer some of these issues, just look at some of the videos in reference to a law firm advising employers to not hire american workers --- and how to do it legally.... "A law firm is teaching corporations how to get around hiring American workers for jobs so they can import foreign workers under the H1-B visa program. " link: or, immigration lawyer Larry Lebowitz on video saying "Our goal is clearly NOT TO FIND a qualified and interested U.S. worker." link: or the full video from the hiring seminar demonstrating how to place a employment ads so that no ame

  18. A number of restaurants have gone to the email signups or facebook for "free food on birthday" coupons. Some that come to mind are : dunkin doughnuts, captain d's, chuck e cheese, arby's, coldstone, ihop, ted's montana grill, ruby tuesday's, etc. The following restaurants are ones that the family have been to in the past year and have gotten a free birthday meal by just showing your driver license : provino's, scallini's, sam and roscoes, denny's (norcross). If you are fairly competent, you can get all 3 meals & snacks free on your birthday via email coupons and your driver lic
  19. For the best airfares, get an account on kayak.com and get on their email alerts for flights from atlanta, birmingham, or chattanooga to las vegas. We have gotten the best hotel deals by going to each hotel or resort property web site and getting on their email list. After a week or so, you will start getting discount codes from them. The MGM was ok, but for $55 a night it was worth being off the strip -- they have a large pool area with a lazy river and separate pools for kids/couples, etc. The bellagio and caesar's will also send you good deals through email, but they are still over a

In Florida, that is what they have been doing more often in the last few years. In most cases, when you see the $100 transfer value, the home/condo is not really for sale. That is a posting of what the bank had to pay the courts to regain custody of the home when they foreclosed on it. Being it is in Florida, check back in a couple of months and you will see the bank will have it on the market as a foreclosure or an REO. When the transfer value says (for example) $120,000 -- then that is the last recorded sale amount (usually the mortgage balance or what the owner defaulted on) hope tha
  21. If you can't come directly in from high school, the "trick" to getting into UGA or georgia tech, etc is to come in through the side door -- that is, come in as a transfer student. Complete at least 30 hours at a tech college or kennesaw or ga highlands, etc with at least a 3.5 gpa and then transfer in. No SAT scores, etc required when you transfer in with 30+ hours, and in the past 5 years or so, the schools have not been limiting the number of transfer students that are allowed. Another way to make it easier is to not to start in fall semester. If you come in spring or even summer semeste
  22. If you are going in the afternoon during the week, then stay away from the duluth/gwinnett 316 route. It is faster to go out I-20 to conyers (exit 82) and then head north up hwy 138 -- basically going behind stone mountain. In monroe the highway changes to hwy 78. It is approx 96 miles that route
  23. Most likely the torque converter. $300 to $400 to replace it with local mechanics, more from the dealer. But since the trans has got to be split off the engine anyway to get to the torque converter, have the trans rebuilt "if" A. you can afford an extra $1000 and B. you plan on keeping the car a few more years.
  24. i agree, if the sticker is not on the router, then you will have to login to the router and view it there
