  1. My 8 yr old started wearing them on Monday. He said that all the kids have been doing it for weeks now. Instead of dealing with an argument, I figured he would go back to pants if he was too cold. He's still wearing them. I have seen kids and teens wear them all winter long. I don't think temperatures effect young people like it does us older people.
  2. We just wait and buy the DVD especially when you can get them cheap from the already viewed section at Block Busters. My family watches them over and over any way, it's cheaper that way. At my age, I can wait awhile and watch it again and it's like a brand new movie again. LOL
  3. It depends on if the two parties are willing to work it out or not. If you can , then great! My ex was such a pain that we had to move on to court. Then at that point, it depends on who has the lawyer that can bend the judge's ear.
  4. My DH works in that area. He said that it was a Saturn and that two people were killed. He said that a third went out on life flight. Did anyone see the news coverage on it to see what they said? I feel for the families involved. Thornton Rd is a dangerous area to drive. I drove it for ten years and saw all kinds of things.
  5. I've never tried Browns. I have used Little Tip Top on Old 41 right across from C.W. Matthews, off and on for years. They sell their chicken for a very good price too and the chicken is wonderful. It is the same chicken you buy in the stores. You can buy the chicken different ways, boneless breast, strips, bone-in, dark meat.....and they sell other meats (pork & beef) too. I have never had a problem with them. I can't remember their exact hours but I know they are only open certain days to the public until 4:30 om. I know one of the days is Wednesday but not sure of the other day. I have a
  6. How about Pistachio? I have had some wonderful pistachio cakes before and I am sure it would make a good cupcake too. The icing is a wonderful minty green color.
  7. I know besides the ultrasound, my doctor also did the finger check up the back side. I just thought I would warn you of that too. That was the first time I ever had to deal with that and it was a shocker. The doctor told me that when you have gall bladder problems your bowl movements will usually have alot of muscus in it. Also, I know alot of women that had to have their gall bladders removed after having a baby. My was removed almost immediately after having my first child. One more thing, the doctor will tell you that your bowels will go back to normal afterwards. That's not always the case
  8. I went to high school with Cindy and I hate to see this happen to her and Andy. I really do hope that they will be able to get back on their feet. I know I will greatly miss Cindy's cooking. I loved her food. It was a really nice place to sit down to eat some good food and see old friends come in the door. They also got alot of their business from Powder Springs and Cindy's old classmates. I also hope that they will open again no matter where.
  9. LisaC is right in the fact that the market is overloaded with skilled people. My husband has over 22 years experience in his field and went over four months without a single phone call. He finally did get some interviews but still has not gotten a job in his field. He has recently taken a job that is nonrelated to his field and half the pay of what he was making. It's helping to bring money in the house, given him a more positive attitude because he is out of the house, and the job still puts him in contact with people in the working world that do work in his field. So if nothing else, maybe h
  10. I found the website that I believe mom1993 was trying to tell you about. It is actually www.classringfinder.com. It's a really great idea for a website. I lost my high school ring so I entered mine on the site. I would love to get my ring back. Thanks for the info, I didn't know there was a site like that out there.
  11. Sorry to hear what a sorry piece of Sh*t she married. Like everyone else has said.....she needs a lawyer! And the house, if it was aquired after the marriage, she has a legal stake in the ownership. But in any case, I'm sure the girlfriend did not have legal right to boot the wife out. If I was the wife, I would be out to do everything I could to help myself take care of my child. It's clear that the father doesn't care what happens to his child to treat them this way!
  12. I agree with the Giorgio Armani.........it's smells soooooo gooooooood! I also love Polo Black!
  13. Hiram's Coffee House is very good.
  14. There are all kinds of things that can cause your eyes to twitch, from stress, your eyes being tired, to eye strain from being on the computer too much. You'll just have to check out different things to see if you can figure it out by eliminating them one at a time. I had the same problem a few years back and the doctor didn't help a bit. I had a girlfriend suggest to me to cut out my caffeine because it seems to be a huge culprit that most people hate to consider. It about killed me but I gave it up and my eye twitching did stop. I do ocassionally have some caffeine (mainly from Chocolate....
  15. I agree with Atkins.....I have done business with them for over 25 years and not one problem. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my jewerly. They have done numberous jewerly repairs for me through the years.
  16. We also have used Gamers Trader and they were great. Their prices were more reasonable than Gamestop too! I would recommend them hands down!
  17. If you have tried several things to get her to stop and she doesn't, consider that she might be defending herself. I had a hard time getting my daughter to stop biting (and it was only at the daycare)so I stopped in at unusual times at the daycare. It turned out that they had a child that was bigger and a bully to my child. Her only way to defend herself was to bite this child. The daycare wouldn't tell me about the other child being a problem. When they are little and unable to communicate to you about the problem sometimes their only defense is to use their teeth. I removed my daughter from
  18. OMG.....I thought he looked familiar to me. I've talked to him breifly at the Dairy Queen too.
  19. This woman does have a serious problem. She also tried to kill herself by drowning herself. It's a pity that she didn't get the job done! Her husband came back from the store and found the boy's body then found her. From the story it sounds as though he had to make her get in the car to take her to authorities. Could you image what was going through his mind also? Bless that precious baby's heart and soul. And bless the parents that are grieving.
  20. Georgia Tornado has always had a big heart when it comes to kids. She is truly one of those terrific people you meet in life. I'm blessed to know her.
  21. The only experience I have is knowing people that went through it. I've been told by several people that if you do not have radiation it usually comes back. My neighbor had breast cancer and chose not to do the radiation and her cancer came back. She went through treatment a second time and made sure to have the radiation this time. It worked for her the second time and as far as I know it still is....we moved about a year ago and she was still fine then and it had been a while since her treatment. I also have a coworker whose daughter went through it about eight years ago. She had the rad
  22. A really good party for everyone to help you share the expense is to have a sub sandwich party. Have each couple bring a pound of deli meat, pack of good cheese, favorite bread, and a topping for the sandwiches. You provide chips and drinks and the cost is spread out to everyone. You can have everyone let you know which meat and topping they are bringing so there are not repeats or too much of one thing. I did this and everyone loved it and the sandwiches were better than if we bought them from a sandwich shop.
  23. This is easy and the everyone (including kids ) love it. Place a bag of frozen meatballs in your crock pot, add one large grape jelly, and one large salsa. The grape and salsa will be equal amounts.....ex. 32 oz salsa and 32 oz. grape jelly. Put the crock pot on high and cook for a couple of hours. After it starts heating good, I will stir the grape jelly around to help it melt and blend into the salsa. When it starts bubbling you know the meatballs are heated enough and you can reduce it to low heat to keep them warm for guests. You can stab the meatballs with a fork to test to make sure they
  24. I had seen them in the hobby store off of Barrett Parkway. I think the store's name is Hobby Town. It's an unusual store to find something like that. They might still have them. Good luck!
  25. We also put little gifts in the stockings. I hate for the kids to get too loaded up on candy when there are already so many sweets around during that time of year. We do get some candy but we try to make sure what we do put in there is the really good chocolate or some really special candy. We only put a few pieces. We add anything from hot wheels for the boys to jewerly for the daughter. We enjoy looking for neat little presents to go in there.
