  1. My neighbor may be interested. He wants me to give you his email address so he can be contacted....except I havnt gotten it yet. He makes wooden puzzle jewelry boxes that are very cool.
  2. Good job! Now can you reach MY goal for ME??
  3. I'm excited for them, but very nervous/anxious! I havnt been away from them both for this long in about 4 1/2 years! I will send the bug spray, thank you! I hope I have prepared everything they need......
  4. Oh, you ARE going??? Good luck to ya!!!
  5. The only quiet time I get is on my way to work in the morning. I love to see the sunrise as I'm heading down 278...oftentimes it is so pretty! Right now it is very bright, and in my eyes, but soon, the sun will just barely be coming up..and again will be pretty! I also enjoy watching the birds at the feeders, with no background noise. A nice quiet breezy morning sitting at my table watching them with coffee in hand!!!
  6. I'm the one that said it.. You are right, except that KY's commercials are a little more descreet than this commercial. I dont recall the commercial saying anything about religion, and the way the sex part was put across, it just sounded trashy. I will add that I'm not one to hide things from my children. I would rather them know and be educated than not know at all. Its not so much the content of the commercial, it was the way it was done. The part I heard, they werent focusing on the religious aspect of their beliefs.....so I would have had no way of knowing what to explain to my son
  7. I dont know about the hot feeling....but have you tried a chiropractor? I cant recommend it enough!! It changed my life when I had migraines. I hope you feel better!
  8. I live in Southern Trace off of Holly Springs road. We are a 4 person household. Our bill is normally around $40. We do on average one load of wash a day, and 4 showers. The dishwasher runs once per day also. Our water pressure is fine. We can take 2 showers at a time, and you can hardly notice. The only thing that drastically changes the water pressure, is if the outside hose is turned on full blast. ETA: I didnt realize you were having sewer as well. We have a septic.
  9. Does that mean they only have to renew their tag every four years??
  10. Take pictures of it, and print them off into 8x10's...then you can have a scrapbook/photo album of it all.
  11. Yes, I watch that one too!!! I knew I was forgetting some. My boyfriend loves it, and started getting me to watch it. So thats why I started making him watch Hoarders.....just to even it out!!!
  12. I dont know of any around here, but would like to tell you about the one I saw when I was pregnant. He is about 1200 miles from here, so he wont work for ya! I had severe migraines while I was pregnant and had to see a chiro. This chiro had a machine that would read which vertebrae was out of place, and put it up on the computer screen as a graph. Then it would act like a small jackhammer putting the pounds of pressure a little at a time, and putting it back in place. Then he would show me on the screen how it had changed. There was NO manipulation techniques. He didnt push on me, or c
  13. The part in bold is funny!!! People are only caught up with it because it is on tv for entertainment purposes. People get all caught up in sports too. Probably many of them should be doing other things than watching the games all weekend. Dont worry, I'm guilty as charged. Now I am trying to juggle football and Nascar, along with Sons of Anarchy, and Hoarders. Thank goodness all the other shows are over for the season....
  14. I'm a supporter of communal living too...and children actually having a Mom around whenever needed. I do understand that way of living. I was actually a "hippie child" for the first 5 years of my life. We lived in a log cabin, in the middle of the woods, and lived off the land. There were always gatherings where all the adults watched the children as if they were their own. It was a true village with everyone caring for the children. Its not so much that they are living that way, but the sex comments made it look really cheap to me. Maybe after I see it, I will understand more.
  15. I have no problem with it being on tv....Its just that the commercial took me off guard. That could have waited until the actual show came on and people who wish to watch it would have heard it. I never thought to have this conversation with my kids because I thought it was illegal. I dont and will never condone multiple partners or infidelity to my children. Just like I will not condone being a raging alcoholic. Just because it appears to make people happy, doesnt mean it does in the end. This can hardly be compared to being gay, or of a different color, as those are not choices. This lif
  16. I'm not against these people...whatever makes them happy I guess. BUT I do think they should tone down their commercials a little bit. I was watching "Hoarding: Buried Alive" with my son when the commercial came on.
  17. Thats crazy! I've never heard of a town doing that. Although, this year I wouldnt mind because we got tickets to Talladega. We actually ordered them through a friend, and I thought the race was on the 30th! So, now I have to figure out something for the kiddos.
  18. This is awful. I found a lump 2 years ago, and told my gyn who checked me then sent me to the hospital for more tests. I was given a mammogram by one lady, an ultrasound by another lady, then a doctor I had never seen came out and told me that I was fine. Then why was I given the ultrasound? Anyway, it seemed very impersonal, and I didnt feel real confident or relieved with the results. BUT you have to kind of trust what you are told. I cant believe someone would intentionally do that!!!!
  19. Good Point!!! It sounds like there are 3 other "unruly juveniles" that need some help as well.
  20. That sounds so good! I made the family spaghetti, but then I didnt feel like eating it. I had cereal....very exciting!!
  21. Ewwwwwwwwww!! That is just gross! Is he sure his wife didnt do it?? Anyway, I love cereal. I had Grape Nuts for supper tonight! Granola is my favorite though.
  22. That is crazy..theres a lot worse things he could be doing! Besides, I would think Dekalb County officers wouldnt have time for this seeings how 4 out of 5 crime stories on the news comes from Dekalb. Good for him, living off the land and helping people. I know zoning laws have a purpose, but who says how big your garden can be? I guess if he didnt take it to farmers markets he would be okay?? Gardens have a much better purpose than a lawn.
  23. The ONLY good thing about this is that they still have that right. I dont agree, and wish they were beyond this, but at least they dont knock on my door to try to get me to conform. They should keep their hatred behind closed doors.
