  1. I couldnt have said it better. Not to minimize what happened, but to be AWARE. If the children hadnt spoke up, or the parents hadnt called and reported this, it all could have been much worse. Kids ALL need to learn there actions affect other people, and always have consequences.
  2. I will check this weekend. My son wears the husky pants too, I'm just not sure I have that size still.
  3. Thank you! I have seen it, but didnt realize that was the name. I will have to stop by. I bought shorts for school clothes, so now its time for "round 2" of school shopping.
  4. We will never forget...... I pledge allegiance to the flag, of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
  5. Where on 278? I dont remember seeing it.....
  6. I hate my phone ringing at all. My work phone rings all day, then I'm "on call" at night, it continues to ring. I have lived this life for 12 years (almost my whole adult life), and have gotten to where I cringe every time the phone rings. I hate being on the phone, even with family. I dont so much mind the work phone ringing, or doing my job on call, but I often "ignore" personal calls. It seems even if I get on the phone with a friend or family...I will end up getting a work call anyway. Some others.....metal spoons on metal pans while cooking......forks on plates....my alarm
  7. I think you should have a "family meeting" and let them help you decide what and how much. It will make them feel better, and educate them on exactly what you have to do. If you include them, they may take to it better. But, you have to let them learn as well. I'm bad about it too, but sometimes I have to let it be when things arent done exactly how I would do it. If you point it out each time, it will discourage them from even bothering to try. I dont mean not to say something if they unload dirty dishes and put them away. I mean more like if the floor gets washed and it isnt perfect,
  8. You must have gotten some good snuggle time then, right? Theres always a bright side. I brought my computer home from work, and worked from home after 1 week with my first, and I was so busy with my 2nd that I cant remember! I think everything is still a blur!!! Thats funny!
  9. Congrats he is a cutie!!! I'm glad all went well!
  10. We get most of ours at JC Penneys. They hold up better than Wal Mart, and still arent too expensive. I will never pay $100 for jeans!!!!
  11. Very well put, LPPT! Our children can have much different personalities at school or online. Heck, I'm sure a lot of adults on PCOM have different personalities here than in normal life. It is a parents duty to know their kids, at home, at school, and now on the internet. It is not okay to allow your children to belittle others.
  12. Not trying to sound bad, but, why could this not happen in private school? Or do you home school?
  13. It is a relief...we shouldnt waste food.....maybe a dunk tank, LPPT? J/K!!
  14. So are you saying she is wrong about the pies??
  15. Darn!!! I'm making a note of it for next year!!! I'm sure he would appreciate it!
  16. I cant believe with all the Pcommers that go, there isnt any food slinging!!! Maybe we should nominate some members for a pie throwing contest!!! J/K!! I will be there!
  17. I dont have any experience, but I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I know you must be pretty worried, but try not to worry too much, it will only make it worse. Remember, your doctors are working on it, and aside from leading a healthy life, theres nothing you can do. Over thinking it will not make it go away. Keep your chin up!!
  18. Oh no!! Pats are my fave, and have been since I was a child!! Prayers for Tom Brady!!!!! Okay, good. It said he was driving the sedan, and was out walking around.
  19. Agreed. I just wanted to clarify. The state I used to live in had laws about how far you could ride an ATV or snowmobile on the road, and I didnt know about Georgia. It is dangerous. Kids cant drive cars alone until they are 16, but can ride ATVs whenever. How old are they? Kids, or teens?
  20. Prayers for this child. I thought you could ride on a public roadway for a certain amount of feet/yards. Maybe not in Georgia.
  21. This does look like fun! I bet the kids would really like it. Speaking of that, they should have a temporary jail set up where you can pay to have someone you love locked up for a few minutes.
  22. You did well!! Great example of how actions=consequences. But, just one question....what did hubby do/say? He must have been pretty mad, and I cant help but wonder if your daughter "got it" because she ended up getting a ride in the end. I would send her on the bus if it were an option.
