  1. Out of curiosity, how do you find these??
  2. Fiorinal works for me when Imitrex won't
  3. Absolutely nothing to do with video games....I haven't said a single word about video games other than kids play games/computers/etc instead of playing outside.....Just was passing along how nuts we're going as a society that two women stand in a target and argue over binders - and I mean to the point of screaming at each other....Just as we were discussing how people have changed, I thought it fit.....if it doesn't, please forgive me. and, I also didn't say she wasn't supposed to be able to buy binders....please reread the post....it was supposed to be an observation - not anything else.
  4. Was telling Hubs about this thread and he said I needed to tell y'all about the women in Target Friday. They were yelling at each other over BINDERS - YES - BINDERS. Seems as if the $3 binders were a good deal so as approx 6 of us are at the end cap buying, say, 4 or 5 each, a woman reaches down and pulls an entire box of one color - all that there were - and puts them in her cart, then turns and pulls another box of another color. I felt soooo sorry for the young Target employee who tried to intervene - she did call a manager. I moved my cart, stood over to the side, and wondered if the s
  5. But, do you feel as if having all these "labels" for everything under the sun is adding to the problem? I KNOW there are real issues, OCD, ADD - but - now a days we have a label for everything and a pill that should fix the problem. The pharmaceuticals are making record profits on things we might be able to change ourselves. SWD - Shift Workers Sleep Disorder - maybe change careers? SAD - Seasonal Affective Disorder - even the docs say, more exercise, watch diet before going on meds And many, many more. Then - so many kids are never outside except structured sports programs. My ne
  6. We were talking about this very thing last night when my husband stopped to allow an older couple to back out (they were already moving) of a parking space at a restaurant and the two cars behind us sped around us and the car backing out, almost hitting another car head on while blowing the horn.....We've been seeing this all the time, people not allowing others to back out of spaces. Was a time that you'd stop and let them out if they were already moving....
  7. I've found coupons for it on the manufacturers site before....also, some of the drug stores have discount cards for people with out insurance.....I know CVS does and I think Walgreens does.....Shaw Pharmacy over by Due West in Cobb used to have some type of assistance things also. I take the pill form and mine was $12 for 1 pill.
  8. Morally, it's not right....but, yes, sadly, because the ambulance ride is not covered - in most cases - unless it is for an emergency - so the ambulance service never is paid. Sadly, this is the only way they have to collect. Most people - and I've worked in the medical field, so, I'm not exaggerating - the MAJORITY of people do not pay what the insurance does not cover.
  9. I don't know whose worse - the people coming up with and filming this crap or the people who watch it. I'm begging my husband to just turn off direct tv. There is nothing worthwhile on any longer. Anywhere.
  10. I think all children with cruel diseases deserve a break and if make a wish can make it happen - yeah. That being said, I had a coworker whose entire family was sent to Hawaii for a week by Make A Wish after she was diagnosed with Lupus. I'm glad she enjoyed the trip, but, honestly, that one was the mothers wish.
  11. My church is making backpacks for Murphy Harpst & Clarkdale Elementary. We KNOW we can do this. Also, the web site lists the following as to the stuff a bus: Volunteers will be on hand from Noon to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, to collect items for the Children's Restoration Network. The Children's Restoration Network provides school supplies to the more than 2,500 homeless children living in 38 group homes in the metro area. My link
  12. This must have been the story about the people rafting on the Chatahoochee - which has elevated ecoli levels right now. Several companies had closed until the river conditions are better, but this one didn't and people went on and were complaining about the smell and all......They'd not even asked for a refund or anything. Others were floating on the river on their own, not with a company. The women from the "groupon" thing had to be rescued by the rafting company....
  13. Friends is on TBS.....We'd already looked before they shut it off.
  14. My link Viacom on Wednesday shut off access to full-length episodes on its own websites such as MTV.com and ComedyCentral.com to all visitors, even those who have no stake in the dispute. The move was apparently in response to DirecTV telling its 20 million U.S. subscribers where on the Internet they could find programs they could no longer watch on TV. DirecTV says Viacom was asking for a 30 percent increase in rates. Viacom says its latest agreement was made seven years ago and that DirecTV is now paying less than its competitors. The two companies blamed each other for the sh
  15. We have direct and have for years, but, sick of the price and trying to cut back. We're trying out Hulu, Netflix, etc., this month and seeing what we can do to lower the bill. We don't watch any of the "reality" shows, nor most of the 'popular' stuff anyway.
  16. Military Care Package Mailing Kit Since Priority Mail service supplies are the packaging of choice for families preparing care packages for service members overseas, the USPS has created a "Mili-kit" based on the items most frequently requested by the military. The kit contains: Three (3) each of flat rate boxes O-FRB1 and O-FRB2 Two (2) each of Cube boxes OBOX7 Address labels - Label # 228 8 each Address labels - Label # 106-A 1 each Customs FORM 2976-A 8 EA. Customs FORM 2976-E 8 EA. The kit may be requested by calling 1-800-610-8734 (Packing Supply) and: Choose your
  17. I've seen it in my own family - and, I'm ashamed of them. One is at the dang beach right now - AGAIN. His mother - my aunt - well, he gets a condo with a group of people so he isn't paying that much to go - bullcheeze - he parties like a rock star when he's there and then comes home and complains that he doesn't make enough on disability to pay his bills.
  18. We discussed this a ways back - personally, I don't think so, but others had a different opinion. My link
  19. Reese Witherspoon is filming in Cartersville My link
  20. The piece on "Out of Work" was not the best - but, hey, they only have one hour which means fitting it into 43 minutes (plus/minus) - and they were diverse. If they'd gone into the "inner city", I'm sure they'd be those screaming how racist they were and how they only looked for the worst possible representation (sorta like when a tornado hits and the media seems to find the biggest redneck affected by the storm). At least, they did talk to people on BOTH sides. Yes, recently at a family reunion, one of my family members was complaining how they didn't get enough from disability to
  21. So, am I the only one who watched?
  22. I know many won't watch because it's on FoxNews, but, I saw a teaser on it earlier when flipping channels - they were interviewing people at the beach who are on unemployment, but not looking for a job and a lifeguard that works during season, then lives on UE the rest of the year.....interesting....
  23. I promise you, the one over next to Cobb airport doesn't charge a thing.....I just unloaded 4 computers, a blender, 3 printers, old modems, a fax machine, a hair dryer, a vacuum - no charge.
  24. Wow....my great aunt and uncle who are both deceased $390.60 - will notify my cousins. My aunt/uncle - $274.20 - will notify them. My grandfather, who is deceased, $5.20 and my father, who is deceased $5.10.....will let those go. Thanks!
