My sister in law tried that 1 time....when my son was 4 - she brought him to me because he wouldn't give up his swing for her daughter (who was 7) and she was saying things like "if this were my child". I put her in her place - immediately. She never did it again........
  11. My link Catering staff at a secondary school in Essex have been banned from serving triangle shaped flapjacks after one was thrown at a pupil. According to reports, canteen staff at Castle View School in Canvey Island, Essex, have been told to cut flapjacks into rectangles or squares rather than triangles. It is understood that the triangular version was banned after one was thrown, hitting a boy in the face. Critics have pointed out that a square flapjack has more sharp corners than a triangle shaped one. Despite this, Essex County Council said the ban was "not a county co
  12. Recently purchased several tops that I'd seen at Belk for a good deal more.....haven't shopped the penney store in a while. Was pleasantly surprised at the difference in the base cost of the same brand name sweaters. Now this was at the mall - haven't been to the Hiram store in a while, but, plan to this weekend as I need some things for spring break trip
  13. My link this concerns me....will this cause an artificial boom to new housing, then another burst in a few years? As the metro housing market begins to rebound after a dizzying fall, investor-buyers like Fundamental REO are driving an outsize share of the activity. Their purchases help stabilize prices but also foster concerns about the longer-term effect of neighborhoods filled with bulk-purchased homes owned by out-of-state investors. Last fall, investor-buyers accounted for 26 percent of all Georgia home purchases, according to research by the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. Once

  17. No.....there is a community fund of money....you have to fill out a bunch of forms for it, but, it's there. Also, the ER can't turn you away. When I tried to set up payments for my surgery (because we have a $5800 deductible), they made me go on thru the process of filling out forms for "community funds". I said all along we wouldn't qualify and finally, they just set up the payment plan with me....then, they didn't want to set up the payments for the amount I wanted to pay, they wanted it to be 1/3 of what I'm paying.

  22. My link The 7-year-old says he was trying to save the world. But school administrators say he broke a key rule during his pretend play. “I was trying to save people and I just can’t believe I got dispended,” says Alex Evans, who doesn’t understand his suspension any better than he can pronounce it. “It’s called ‘rescue the world,’” he says. He was playing a game during recess at Loveland’s Mary Blair Elementary School and threw an imaginary grenade into a box with pretend evil forces inside.
