I miss Vidalias in the winter. I have heard that they freeze well, so I am thinking of buying alot and chopping fine, then freezing in those little pint size freezer bags. Has anyone else ever frozen Vidalias and if so then how have you prepared them before hand? TYIA

Sound Guy, if your son is going to college and has alread received his student ID then he is probably elligible for a student discount with one of the "computer" manufacturers. Dell offers this to some colleges in our state. Call the school he is planning to attend and see if they are signed up with any computer company that offers this discount. Dell has it available online and pretty much you just need the student ID #.

Happy Birthday Sidewaze and Peach! Just don't do like I did on my 40th. I spent that entire week and some of the next in bed with the flu. This year (number 41) was MUCH better! Maybe a 3 or 4 day weekend away at the beach or mountains if you don't want a large party at home? If you do want a large party at home then maybe a BBQ/Luau with mixed/frozen drinks that have those tiny umbrellas.

Where is this going to be at? If it is an open field (and you have room for it) then maybe you could charge for some folks to simply target practice at regular targets instead of clays. There are some in the area who would probably pay at least $25 for 2-3 hours of practice.

If you were to spend the same dollar amounts on each, the flatbed will probably produce more "defined" scans than a portable scanner. Look and compare the DPI (dots per inch) on each. The higher amounts will produce a sharper, more "defined" scan.

Rainbows are a wonder and a miracle of nature to some, but rainbows are a dime a dozen in Maui from a persistent mist around the mountains and rain forest area. While there I snapped a pic of a triple rainbow and NO I am not kidding. To me it was amazing. To others that live on the island and see them almost every day, maybe not. Some where over the rainbow...way up highhhh...

I have some DVD's about this. I haven't tried them yet, but it might help some of you who want to learn to try a DVD.

I would suggest great big G or H sizes so that you can "see" your loops. This is just while learning. After that you should use the size your pattern suggests.

If you can find a recipe for it you can make homemade canned Chow-Chow. My grandmother made it from a mix of hot (ripened) and mild banana peppers, onions, vinegar and I can't remember what else is in it. After it ages it is almost like a tangy mild hot sauce that many people like with veggies.

Usually a bird who does this is a male and he is being territorial. I have read that it means a nest is nearby. I have been reading on the subject lately because I have a bird doing this every day, several times a day, to my bedroom window and he just started this 2 months ago. I have never noticed a bird doing this to my home in the 12 years since it was built. How long do they do this before it occurs to them that their tactic is just not working?
