  1. Definitely do not go to the company with the initials R. H. & A. they were horrible to us and tried to use them TWICE, but they were rude, insulting and didn't do a good job both times! I know someone else that had their HVAC unit installed wrong by them and it could have cost their household their lives. We've been happy with CoolRay for about 4 or 5 years now. We have 2 HVAC units that were both installed and are regularly maintained by them.
  2. Here you go. http://www.accesspaulding.com/ Go to this page. Click on events. Each month has it's own calendar. These events are not just Paulding events but for several counties around and most list ways to contact for information prior to the event. Here is the link for The Paulding Fine Arts Association. http://www.pauldingfinearts.org/index.html Click on their link that says calendar. The Paulding Meadows Arts & Crafts Festival is Sept. 12-13. There is a Fall Festival in downtown Dallas Oct. 10. Then there is also the Christmas parade, etc. for Dallas. There use to be a lot
  3. What about a microwave? It's about a 1.4 cubic feet, so medium sized. I am pretty sure Waste Industries will not take it.
  4. I am allergic to mites. For the bed I just use plain white sheets (high thread count please!) and bleach them with Chlorox when it's time to clean. You can also use a bed topper or a good mattress topper. I use one that is water proof on one side so the suckers can't get through the mattress pad to me, it is also bleachable. This is the same technique that hotels use to keep their bed mites away. Also, I think there is a powder you can sprinkle on the mattress, leave it on for a few minutes, then vacuum up to help with this. It would probably be in the vacuum cleaner aisle. I know Dyson makes
  5. That specific set has a LOT of bad reviews on the right side of the page. Momof3, I am a bit confused about them too but I do know one thing. Most of the time the resolutions on these security cameras are so bad that the shots cannot be used to identify the criminal. Buy something with a very high resolution (sharp video).

    Windows 10

How does 10 compare to 7.0? I hated 8, so I've only been using our laptops and computers that have 7. Is 10 easier to use than 7 or better in anyway? Is the menu similar to 7 or does it give the option to have a menu setup like 7?
  7. I believe my doctor still prescribes the bio-identical hormones. They compound them at the clinic. However, she recommended Primrose Oil capsules for me. I've never tried them because I have so many other medical issues and other medications that I am on that the hot flashes seem like one of the least of my concerns. I have been told by some women that soy milk and capsules help. Some like red clover capsules. I have also read in research that some women say their hot flashes are relieved by a low dose antidepressant. I think it depends upon the person and their degree of how out of balance th
  8. Well, my case is a little unusual. I am 46 now. About 10 years ago I had my left ovary removed due to a terratoma. I didn't want to risk spreading the cells because even the benign ones can cause reseeding. My doctor started me back on birth control pills 3 weeks before the surgery as a hormone replacement therapy since we knew I would only have 1 ovary left and also to help with the chronic pelvic pain, etc. that I have had problems with since I was 13. I am still taking those birth control pills. I do sometimes have hot flashes but mostly night sweats for these 10 years. They are mostly a pr
  9. Taylor Farm Park had their IndepenDANCE celebration on the 11th I believe. Dancing, live music, food and fireworks.
  10. Stiff, I was asking this same question just last year! I wish someone would open a company to provide this service in our area. My problem is my health. I don't get out as much anymore, not even for groceries.
  11. I usually check in during the middle of the night at least to the internet cafe'. I might miss a day here and there, but not often. Yes, I was beginning to worry that we had seen the last of Paulding.com as well. A few members are on my "friends list" but this made me realize that for most of you I don't have another way to get in touch!
  12. Thank you for the address Lowrider! I am thinking of sending a get well card for Thad and a gift card for Melissa to help with meals while she is on the go. Maybe some others would like the address to send a card or small gift? It's likely that Thad will be recovering for some time so maybe get well cards, a favorite magazine, puzzle book or movie to watch would be appreciated for when he has healed enough to enjoy some little things?
  13. If he is going to be there for at least another few days then we can start sending him cards! Can we get a hospital address posted? Better yet, maybe a home address so that we can send Melissa gift cards for groceries, or gift cards for grabbing a meal on the run between home and the hospital.
  14. When it comes to the 4th of July 10pm is WAY too early for fireworks to stop as it doesn't even get dark in this area until 9pm! I would agree that a 12am (12:30am?) ending should be late enough for the 4th of July and New Year Eve holidays ONLY. The rest of the holidays should end earlier. Going until 2am or later, especially on a week night, is too late. The only places that should have permission to fire them later than 12am should be a theme park, like Six Flags.
  15. LMAO! :crying: That's a good one! Even my husband laughed.
  16. The ticket prices are great! However, with them being entirely general admission, what about those in wheelchairs or on scooters? Will there be a designated area? It's kind of hard to see over other people when you are in a wheelchair or on a scooter.
  17. Oh my word, how horrible! Still praying for quick and complete healing. I am so sorry and sad that they are having to go through this.
  18. I am oh so happy this didn't happen! Wellstar's rating would have pulled Emory's down. It would not have been a good move for Emory. I would rather drive into Atlanta to see a competent Emory physician or a specialist who is an Emory graduate. I am not the only one as many of my friends who see a specialist/s on a regular basis also feel this way.
  19. That is good because sometimes it is too early to do the FIV reliably. It's like the HIV test for humans in that it may take up to several weeks for the body to start producing antigens to the virus enough for the test to accurately measure a positive or negative. I am glad she is safe and is starting to feel better. I hate when one of my cats is sick. I feel awful about it, become overly motherly towards them trying to get them healed and just about make myself sick in the process. May everything be happy and well in your household soon.
  20. Please have a FIV test done on your cat in a few weeks as they could have given it to her and keep her safe inside from now on. Cats that are that big are being fed by SOMEONE even if they are outdoor cats. If no one wants to claim these cats then they should be trapped and taken to a rescue or at least a humane society. It's a myth that a cat who has been fed by humans can suddenly become hunters and fend for themselves in the wilderness. They have to be taught how to hunt and given the opportunity as youngsters to learn the skill typically by a parent. Basically dropping them off somewhere i
  21. By the way, county roads do include dirt roads. Unless the road is privately owned (like a long driveway or farm road) then it is illegal. You are welcome. If you need the ordinance # then maybe the Sheriff or Marshall's office can tell you. It's easy to look up online, but sometimes I just don't have the time to look them up. Sorry.
  22. Yes it is illegal. The ATVs are only supposed to operated on private property. If you would like, call the Sheriff's Office and report the activity so that they can come check it out when they have time. The experience someone told me that happened in my subdivision is they reported it and eventually the person was caught in the act. Since it was a teen, both the teen and the parent received a warning not to do it anymore or the parent could go to jail since they were allowing the teen to do it. I am not certain what would have happened to the teen in that situation, possibly probation? There
  23. The local TV news said that his value is now at $30 MILLION dollars. Wow! He is a beautiful horse and I hope he has a wonderful long retirement coming to him.
  24. So the location at the Babcock Shopping Center WILL have the mortars? Those are the ones my husband gets deliriously happy over! LOL
  25. Who do you think maintains the subdivision roads? The county's department of transportation. If you don't believe me then call the sheriff office at the non-emergency line and ask what the law is. I've lived here for over 40 years and so have 3-4 generations before me on both sides of my family. I know it is illegal to park in any roadway or street in this county. It has been for decades.
