  1. Here is some updated info from the Paulding Co. Sheriff's Office. The suspect has been charged with murder with no bond. The victim was shot. https://www.facebook.com/PauldingSheriff/photos/a.312704758465.151366.186603318465/10153917923628466/?type=3&theater
  2. If you don't mind my asking, how much is her fine? Maybe Paulding.com could set up an account to help out like we have before?
  3. That does look interesting. Is this based on the kidnapping of 3 women that a man kept in his basement and 1 of them eventually gave birth to a child that lived? I think there was another birth that didn't live. They were eventually found and had been missing for YEARS! By the time they were found they were presumed dead because they had been missing for so long.
  4. Ron's Upholstery I believe his dad started the business. Ron grew up in the business and took it over. He is the best around that I know of. Also, I do believe he can pick up and deliver. Here is the Facebook page for the upholstery shop where you can look at some of his before and after pictures of his work. https://www.facebook.com/rons.upholstery
  5. Oh I would have loved to have been there! I hope you took some family photos while you were there.
  6. This is the one that my husband has had to use before, Global Taxi 770-445-9925. He said that the last time he used them to go to the airport was about a year ago and it was roughly $100.
  7. The National Weather Service put out a tornado WARNING at about 5am for Paulding County. They let it drop just after 5:30am but we were continuing to have severe thunderstorms. Even now at 7:05am we are have severe storms. Even under the influence of Ambien I work up when the lightening became severe and checked online to see that we were under a warning. My husband and I herded the 4 cats down into his office in the basement for about an hour. LOL
  8. From what I have read he had a previous history of being reprimanded by the GSP several times for driving well over the speed limit when there was not a call in progress. I bet the GSP is no longer releasing that information but when this accident first happened it was reported in the article I read as him having a previous history.
  9. I just watched a new report on this. The man driving the car claims he felt something like a spider bite him high up on his thigh and that his swerving was a reflex. He had on a pair of shorts in the interview and showed where it bit him, but to me it didn't look like a bite. However, I am not sure how much time had passed between the incident and the interview. Apparently he is being given 2 charges that could each send him to jail for 20 years. The woman on the back of the motorcycle is now out of ICU but is still in the hospital.
  10. Does Hardee's serve breakfast all day or just the mornings? Either way I am happy that we are getting one!
  11. AMC is currently playing all the Halloween movies today. Personally I like to breakout the HellRaiser DVDs this time of year. Friends of mine with children like to watch things like Halloween Town, etc. (I think that's the name of it.) The Witches of Eastwick would be a good one.
  12. I am not sure what type of doctor they are asking to do this, but I am betting that a pain management doctor is more likely to understand the paperwork and other processes better. Also, I think the state is working on a way for the oil to become available here in Ga for patients who qualify. My disease was taken out of the bill that passed, but I also still need to be evaluated for MS or Parkinson's Disease (both of which seem to run in my family) which are in the bill. By the way I did FINALLY get my handicap tag. We are looking for a full size SUV to purchase, then we will have a company
  13. This is interesting. My husband and I have been in a debate over the new chip cards.
  14. This offer for $67 has just started! It is running from 12am EST to 11:59PT Friday only. I've been wanting to join, so this is my opportunity to try it out.
  15. Yes, I would have done this while waiting for the police to arrive. Staying in the store with employees would help keep her safe but it might also keep him there so the police can question him when they arrive.
  16. Come March put down grub killer on the yard. It comes as a granulation just like grass fertilizer. Grubs are their main source of food and they are digging for them.
  17. Lowrider, you can have him tagged with one of those numbers on his leg. That way it will be known he has a home and can be tracked back to you if necessary. I love his story!
  18. If you use a trail camera then make sure it has really high resolution to it or you may not be able to confirm who is in the photo. This is important if animal control, law enforcement or a court needs to become involved. Most trail cameras are basically only sensitive enough for close up shots of animals, not far away shots of people. My husband has one and I have friends who use them for their hunting areas.
  19. The cameras can help because if the owner is with the dog then it is considered tresspassing or possibly littering. If the owner is not with the dog then there is the leash law to consider which carries a fine I believe up to $500. Put up a "NO TRESSPASSING" sign. Also, there are motion sensitive sprinkler heads available now a days that can be hooked up to a water hose! (hehehe!)
  20. Pate's Appliance in Dallas. They will come out and service for you or you can purchase the parts through them. They have repaired my frig twice and once had my now 17 year old clothes washing machine taken apart to fix it. The other day my husband bought a part for my dryer and fixed it himself. We love Pate's for anything regarding our appliances! They are in the phone book or can be found online. Here is the link for the YellowPages listings for Dallas, GA appliance repair companies. http://www.yellowpages.com/dallas-ga/small-appliance-repair
  21. I think it was commonly called "The Castle". A couple of old friends (who did not know each other) went up there with some of their friends when we were teens. These 2 groups were there on 2 separate occasions and both said they came running out of that house as fast as they could from something they seen. I wish I could remember the details of what they said they seen. This was at least 30 years ago.
  22. Where is this new one located and when is it opening? I haven't been to one in probably two decades myself.
