  1. I am so sorry to hear that your family is sick and I will pray that will receive quick healing. I don't know about smoked turkeys, but I do know that Publix sells a precooked turkey or you can buy the whole turkey meal. I think these turkeys are prepared by rotisserie. They are precooked but will still take about 2 hours to heat to the correct temperature in the oven. You can also buy prepared macn'cheese, dressing and other items in the deli. You can go look online at their website and order the dinner, but usually I just go up to the East Paulding Drive Pulbix and they have the items in the
  2. I think Hardy's lights had to stop due to the traffic. Since the location was right on Macland Road the traffic would back up down Macland Road for quite a distance both ways. These new local attractions are in subdivisions so the traffic backup is kept on the subdivision roads. I have been to the Hardy's lights several times in my late teen years with dates. They were always so beautiful. One year they had a couple of live reindeer. I was so excited because I had never seen one in person. They have them in nature in the extreme North West part of the country, so I am sure those two had to
  3. I am starting to carry those cross-over bags that have a long strap that crosses over your chest and the bag hangs at your side or your hip. That way it will be with me even if I am bending down to look at something on the bottom shelf. It will be less likely to become stolen. Also, because my rheumatologist has suggested that I start carrying lighter bags because of the low back and arm issues of mine that are getting worse. I beat him to it as he didn't stop to realize during the visit I didn't have my large handbag or tote with me like I normally do. I hate giving up space in my bag though,
  4. You are both very welcome! It took a bit to post everything, but if the little ones get a kick out of the lights then it will be worth it. I am like a kid at heart when it comes to watching Christmas lights!
  5. So do I! I love the little travel sized Lysol Spray and Clorox wipes! I still wash my hands very frequently as well though.
  6. Please remember that hand sanitizer is NOT A REPLACEMENT for hand washing! It will not kill hepatitis, herpes or other such type of viruses. Hand washing and cleaning with bleach will cut down or kill those type of viruses. Hand sanitizer will help somewhat with flu/cold viruses and bacteria, but for your best protection you will still need to wash your hands in conjunction with using hand sanitizer after using the restroom and before eating or preparing food.

I have a little under 10,000 lights total being controlled by lightorama. I broadcast the music on 88.7FM. The animated show runs from 6pm-10pm nightly. After 10 is just a static display of white and blue lights with instrumental Christmas music playing. My animated playlist includes the following songs: 1. Welcome Christmas from How the Grinch Stole Christmas 2. What is Christmas by Trans-Siberian Orchestra 3. Light of

We hope to see you here! Olaf might make an appearance on Wednesday if we can get enough page likes!" I think they have the lights on until 9pm each night. A little later on the weekends.
  12. Ask your neighbors if it has been delivered to their house. We have lived in this house for 16 years. Our old neighbors have almost all moved away and we now have new ones slowly taking their place. A package delivered to me the other day was missing. It was one of those that UPS hands over to the US Postal Service for final delivery. They were swearing that it was delivered to my front porch and gave me a web link to report it missing or stolen. Before I took that final step I went and had another good look outside, then I started going from door to door inquiring. I don't yet have our new ne
  13. This is wonderful news. Congrats on the new home Momof3! You can bet that I am taking note of these names because we will be looking to sell in about a year or a little more. We will be looking to move into a rental home while our current home is being sold and our new home built, but like you were I am clueless on the selling process. Will you still live in Paulding? Happy moving!
  14. My rheumatologist is on the list of payments received for consulting and research. All of their group's payments seem to be for consulting and research with companies who make medications for rheumatoid arthritis. I don't really blame them. They are doing necessary research and get a lot of free meds in those trial packets to help the patients with the patient's cost. I am not on any of the meds made by the companies they are doing research for, so I doubt I am an unknowing participant. Even if I was on those meds and a patient that is a part of the research, I wouldn't mind as long as I was t
  15. It's not the kid. The cat is actually in the tree but you have to really look for it. It looks like someone hung a Sylvester ornament on the tree! I think it's cute!
  16. The article says she was flown to a children's hospital with breathing problems and low glucose. The combination of the high birth weight and low glucose tells me that she probably has a problem with her pancreas. She may even have been born with Type 1 diabetes and her body is having a hard time trying to regulate things by itself. All of my grandmother's babies (except for the preterm twins, who didn't survive) weighed between 9-10 pounds. Sometimes it's just genetic, but I think the particular baby in this story has a pancreatic problem.
  17. Come on you guys! I am pretty computer literate but I still use my AOL email addresses and one of them I have had since 1998! Although I have not opened a copy of AOL software in many years. I use my cell phone to check email instead of using their software. ETA: Actually my husband and I met in an AOL IM. Last month was our 14th wedding anniversary!
  18. An orthopedist is a specialist who then further specializes into what type of orthopedist. For instance my rheumatologist has recently told me he wants me to see an orthopedic surgeon. I feel like because I have not even had an MRI of the area that I would prefer to see a spinal orthopedist and find out what options I may have for treatment that are non-surgical first, so I am on the lookout for a good spinal orthopedist that is hopefully not with Wellstar. In your post you might want to say what type of orthopedist you are looking for.
  19. Mrs G, we are supposed to drop to 39 degrees Fahrenheit tonight. I really hope you got the unit fixed in time or have found a warmer place to stay the night.
  20. Since it is just my husband and I we typically will just purchase a small pre-cooked turkey from the Publix deli. However, this year I purchased two frozen boneless turkey breasts from Walmart about 2 weeks ago. I am not sure if it is skinless or not. I do believe they can be roasted in the oven, slow cooked in a crock pot or cooked in a pressure cooker which will pull the seasonings through the meat. I am not sure how I will prepare it just yet.
  21. The food at this Briar Patch has never been as good as the original Briar Patch before it burned down and was rebuilt. That happened one night when I was in my 20s. I was in Dallas talking with a friend. He heard the fire dispatch call come in over his hand held radio scanner. We drove up to the Briar Patch and watched the firefighters work to put it out. His brother, also a friend of mine, worked as a deputy and was directing the road traffic. A piece of Paulding County history went up in flames that night and I will never forget it.
  22. She is beautiful! She still looks so much like my Kiki with that silvery-blue-gray fur and skin. Your Kittah even developed the same bright green eyes. The only difference is that Kiki has long hair. Kiki is now just over 14 years old and also stayed very petite at a whopping 7.5 pounds! Keep an eye out for fast or labored breathing in your Kittah when she is not active as our Kiki developed asthma symptoms right at 1.5 years old. Since they look so much alike and the disease could be genetic, I thought I would say something. I am so glad you posted about your Kittah as I have been wondering a
  23. You know they make chocolate covered pretzels and even chocolate covered chips now? I swear to you, the other day in Target's Christmas section they have an area for special Christmas foods. There was a chocolate bar with BACON in it! I said "No way!" to myself and had to reread the label. No, I did not buy it!
  24. Would you believe I had already known that a large supply of the world's cocoa beans comes from Africa, so I already had a theory in my mind that we were going to have a shortage? I am a chocoholic and I actually NEED it! Chocolate and sunshine helps to boost my serotonin naturally and that's works with my antidepressant or SSRI. My first birthday cake was a home baked chocolate cake with M&Ms (thank you Mamie!). While my grandmother was in the kitchen getting a knife and my mom had her back turned putting a flash cube on the camera, I was waiting no longer and stuck a huge tablespoon down
