  1. I missed the 1st part of the one on CBS, but it is already available for viewing on CBS.com. There is a 3 part one that showed on the ID channel last week that I watched. That was when I realized there actually is DNA evidence and it never matched anyone from the family. There is blood on her underwear that does not belong to her or anyone in her family and there is "touch DNA evidence" that was found on her other clothing. Both of those DNA samples match EACH OTHER but no one in the home, including Jon Benet.
  2. If it is Nextdoor then I would HIGHLY recommend joining as it as good to have! I have seen great experiences with it here in my neighborhood. With everything from lost pets, crimes reported, yard sales, people looking for household services to be done and seeking the recommendations from others in the neighborhood for companies who can perform the services. We've even sent out a TORNADO WARNING to our neighborhood when Paulding had one set for our area. In that instance you can send out the notification as an emergency instead of a regular post. My neighborhood seems to love it for everything!
  3. I have been watching the bill that passed in GA very carefully. Cannabis oil that has a low THC amount (I think up to 5%?) has been passed for medical use for only a handful of specific diseases in GA. Late stage cancer, MS and severe seizures are 3 of them. My chronic pain 24/7 with fibromyalgia was literally dropped off the list the very day that the bill passed. I was so upset that I cried. I don't know if this oil would help me but I would like to opportunity to try something that doesn't have the worry of physical addiction, which is why I have stayed away from the idea of going to a pain
  4. I'm a Sleep Number customer for about 12-13 years now. The memory foam mattresses were too hot for me. With fibromyalgia not even a king Sealy pillowtop mattress was soft enough and we spent $2000 on one of those back in 2000. My husband still loves that one, though I prefer my Sleep Number. We figured out we can have sex almost anywhere, but mattresses are for sleeping and require too much of a personal preference, especially when you have chronic insomnia and 24/7 body pain. My sleep number usually stays on something soft like 40. Some of them come with 1 air bladder and some with 2. I have
  5. WHERE'S the BEEF! - Wendys Restaurant Those commercials with the little old ladies were hilarious!
  6. Here is an update as of this morning for depression #9. The possible path through south Georgia has been moved further south. We will probably only receive some breezes and showers this far up north. Here is the link for the National Hurricane Center for more info. They regularly update and show more than #9 on the map right now. There is another depression about to hit the coast of North Carolina. http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/
  7. Thank you for the heads up. I know they have been forecasting a slight increase in how many hurricanes form in the Atlantic this year.
  8. Here is a picture of him with some of the old fire trucks. https://www.facebook.com/PauldingCoFireRescue/photos/a.500781590061359.1073741832.491919857614199/741803749292474/?type=3&theater Paulding County Fire/Rescue "Founding Father of Union Volunteer Fire Department dies. Mr. Robert Marvin Hartley, of Temple Georgia, passes at age 80. Mr. Hartley helped start the station on February 6, 1976. Union Volunteer Fire became part of Paulding County Fire & Rescue in 1980. Friends say Mr. Hartley was a very energetic man and inspirational to the station's growth. At one point, he purch
  9. This is my uncle. He has been around for more of my life than my own father. He was a very good hearted man who would help anyone he could and had a wonderful laugh. His volunteer time with a fire department was when I was a little girl he spent a lot of time with the Union (Rose's Store) Volunteer Fire Dept. where I believe he was an assistant chief. He trained many firemen back then. Hershey's chocolate cakes made by my MawMaw Hartley and back road rides with Aunt Nell and Uncle Marvin are favorite memories of my childhood. We will miss you Uncle Marvin.
  10. I seen a Facebook post late at night 8/13 that said he was in custody. I hope it's true.
  11. I don't think so. I believe he lives in the South Paulding area. Powder Mill Subdv. is across Dallas Hwy. from the Dallas Walmart. I believe the pawn shop will be at the intersection of East Paulding Drive and Dallas Hwy.
  12. Yes. I would also go as far as using one DNA related family member's sperm to fertilize the egg of another DNA related family member and say that is a form of incest, which could cause the child to be abnormal. What they are actually doing is taking the sister's eggs and fertilizing them with his gay partner's sperm, so the two DNAs used are NOT related to each other. The sister will not be carrying the baby, but a fourth person will be the surrogate mother to carry the child. So actually, this is not incest in ANY way at all.
  13. I had already been registered to vote in Georgia for many years when I needed to change to an absentee ballot. I was able to change my status online to disabled voter and have the ballot mailed to me several months ago. I think they use your Ga State ID number or Ga driver's license number to validate who you are. Which is why it is now so difficult to prove who you are when getting your state ID or license issued.
  14. WSB-TV is reporting that the father of the twin girls in the hot car death was drinking when he left them in the car. Here is the link. http://www.wsbtv.com/web/wsbtv/news/local/two-infants-dead-after-being-left-in-hot-car/417439768 The two teens that were shot late at night behind the Publix had snuck out of their homes. Their parents did not know they were out that late. It's now being reported that the suspect following them to the store. After killing them, he took the girls debit card and tried to use it at another store. That plus pings that showed his cell phone around the teens an
  15. United Healthcare announced months ago that they would stop offering ACA plans to several states because they were losing so much money. I do not know if this is related to the Piedmont contract issue. I also have UHC. My rheumatologist was with Piedmont, but I think he may be private now and still accepts UHC. I need to call them and find out.
  16. Sprouts is a farmer's market? YES to Sprouts, Petco and Ulta! This makes me so excited! I have been a big Ulta fan almost from the time they opened on Barrett Parkway. Now I rarely go shopping in that area due to no handicap accessible vehicle and most of those shops, including the mall, do not have access to electric scooters. I still order Ulta online though. Hopefully by the time this shopping center opens I will have one and a more heavy duty "shopping scooter" of my own. Do you know when the Ulta and PetCo stores are scheduled to open? I've never heard of Zoe's Kitchen. Why kind of food d
  17. We already knew that the Trumps and Clintons were or are friends with each other before the election. The Clintons were guests at the Trump's wedding and have a wedding picture together! All previous presidents are addressed as Mr. President, so if she wins then I am sure he will probably still be addressed as Mr. President and she would be Madame President.
  18. What eventually happened? Did they get him out? Is he in jail or did it turn into a suicide?
  19. Actually I spoke with my husband tonight at about 10pm about this very subject. If the airport goes commercial, then the home we have been planning to build will probably be located in another county. Since both sides of my family go back several generations of living in this county, then that will really suck for me because I will miss Dallas. With chronic insomnia that increases my body pain the noise from a commercial airport will probably not be tolerable as it will add to the insomnia. With worsening asthma I wouldn't want to live with the additional pollution from the air traffic. Howeve
  20. Thank you! I know that most online stores ask for your zipcode to determine your tax, so I wonder if that means the tax free holiday will apply? By the way, I read through the lists, formal wear is tax free but handbags are not! WHAT?! LOL
  21. What if the items are purchased online? I need to purchase a desktop computer, but I want to order it online built to my specs. Do the items have to be purchased IN Georgia or are online purchases tax free as well?
  22. SushiB, I have a friend that plays. I have "heard" from her that there are stops at the Sara Babb Library off hwy 381, the New Hope Cemetary, Abney Elementary School, Mt. Tabor Park and EPHS. She heard this from a friend of hers that found them all and she now has plans to go check them out. I hope this helps you a little? Good luck!
  23. I believe there is a 60% chance of rain on Tuesday, with a 30% chance tonight and Wednesday for our area. If you have new sod then for goodness sake WATER IT! That water will be a lot cheaper than replacing the new sod. It may take a few weeks for the sod's roots to start growing into the ground, so baby it. We have too big of a yard for sod, but I would love to have it. It's so soft! We keep our grass fertilized just to keep the roots strong, because the roots are what is keeping our huge hill our house is built on from eroding away.
  24. No. They have the dad and his girlfriend or the girl's stepmother in custody. The little girl's actual mother lives in another state. Apparently dad moved her daughter down here without her knowing they were moving. They are now getting the mother's DNA to test it against the little girl's DNA for a positive ID. As of right now a positive ID is still up in the air. Keep in mind this body that was found in Allatoona and may be the little girl's body, it was found the day BEFORE the dad reported his daughter missing. I am guessing this is part of how they got caught.
