Lawsuit seeks to halt US swine flu vaccination campaign
lotstodo replied to SoapMom's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Whether or not to get the vaccine for your family should be an individual choice for the general population. Who is trying to take that choice away from you by stopping the distribution of the vaccine? Who is the Bully? -
It's obvious the majority of y'all don't often frequent the political forum. It's like the wild west in there.

They've been the bottom of the barrel in customer service since they were C & S, JMHO. Completely lost an account. Said that the account number was invalid even after we showed them a canceled check and a bank statement. It took them 2 weeks and a call from the GOCA to finally admit that it was deleted in error, apparently by their IT people. Too damn lazy to look beyond the computer screen on their desk.

True, they just write them for all of the cross platform plugins like Java and Acrobat, and Quicktime is not immune either. I know several people with MACs who have been infected. Not to mention that OSX, or any Unix platform, is not immune to viruses, in spite of what Apple would like you to believe. They have no built in "immunity". The reason you cite is the only reason that Mac virus infections are rare. Why distribute code that is at best only effective on 10% of the machines out there, when for the same effort you can potentially infect 90%?

Lawsuit seeks to halt US swine flu vaccination campaign

Washington D.C. Mid-day Friday in an urgent effort to halt the distribution of the swine flu vaccine in America. On behalf of plaintiffs Dr. Gary Null and other licensed health care workers of New York State, the lawsuit charges that the FDA violated the law in its hasty approval of four swine flu vaccines by failing to scientifically determine neither the safety nor efficacy of the vaccines. Lawsuit seeks to halt US swine flu vaccination campaign

This lawsuit was brought by Jim Turner, the attorney for "Citizens for Health" which is an advocacy organization for alternative medicine. The "Doctor" client is Dr. Gary Null, who is a conspiracy theorist and talk show host where he frequently rants against Pharma. His "degree" is a PHD from a non traditional school, the Union Institute. He is not a medical Doctor. He also hawks a list of his own supplements and was accused by the FTC of making improper claims for one of his products. -
Woman Disabled by THIS YEARS FLU SHOT (10 days AFTER vaccination )
lotstodo replied to Dreamwriter's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Very sad. But on tonight's news, another young girl died from the flu in Georgia. A young girl that likely could have been saved if she had gotten the shot soon enough. The odds are astronomically in the favor of getting the shot, but it is a personal choice. -
The run up has been lead by financials, whose bottom line is a wholly owned subsidiary of the US Taxpayer. They borrowed 0% money from the fed and stashed it in the mattress to make their bottom lines look sweet. Lending is still crippled, housing is getting worse, just not as quickly, taxes appear to be going up. All negative. The only good news today is Intel, and the fact that inventories shrunk. Consumer spending minus autos rose slightly on back to school. The minutes from the FED were the same old reassuring BS. 10,000 is just a number, but I guess that half a recovery is

Airlines add surcharge for travel around holidays
lotstodo replied to OldGoat99's topic in RECENT TOPICS
And the flight attendants just looooove the new rules. Family of 4 on their way to see Mickey for a week with no checked baggage. No problem there. I have changed where I sit to the back of the plane just so I get on first and have room for my one measly take on. If the darn ticket is worth $50 more, then sell it for that and stop abusing the few customers you have left. -
You're correct. I was just up there last weekend, and just had a brain fart on the name. Sux getting old.

Here's an idea. Charge what the tickets are worth and get back in the business of providing a SERVICE. This nickle and dime stuff and all of the junk fees are right up there with cell phone contracts in consumer no service. -
I stand corrected

You would need a Civil Engineer familiar with road and bridge/culvert construction to accurately answer your question. The answer is a variable depending upon the roadway and right of way width, the drop from the road to the creek, the age of the bridge, the amount of traffic, and probably other factors that I am not familiar with. I am so so sorry for your loss. You may want to call the Georgia Tech Civil Engineering Department, and see if they can be of some help. Perhaps they can make it a class project for the underclassmen, or explain the variables to you, perhaps even on site.

If it was blocked from the hosting website, it did not infect your computer. Run a Virus Scan to be certain. All major virus software, including your Symantec, can clean your system of this trojan.

As of June 1, 2009, the CDC reported that over 25 million doses of Gardasil, which is recommended for women between ages 9-26, have been distributed in the U.S. and there was an average of 53.9 VAERS reports per 100,000 vaccine doses. Of these, 40 percent occurred on the day of vaccination, and 6.2 percent were serious, including 32 reports of death. One caveat is that the VAERS reports are not verified or controlled for quality. Anybody can report a side effect. Whether a risk is worth taking depends not only on the absolute risk, but on the relationship between the potential ris
