We are cut off. 4 feet of water over driveway. Driveway gone. Neighbors too. Did the dam break at the pond on Turnberry? Not sure if we should call for evac. water not up to house but rising. If the dam broke hope water will recede shortly.

And the taxes, and the vendors, and the insurance, and the rent, and the equipment payments, and the light bill, and the gas bill...........

Indeed this is the classic labour vs. capital argument. The fact that a small business owner risks his/her family's well being every day with no net, and the fact that his/her talents, knowledge, experience, investment, planning, and risk provide a job and a means to live for their employees is a foreign concept to those who believe that the boss is living off of the sweat of the employees. A survey by Fortune Small Business found that 47% (not a typo) of small business owners have not paid themselves this year. Those evil b@st@rds.

Why do you think West is continually invited to these things? You can't buy publicity like this. How many of you would even mention the VMA's this morning if it wasn't for this jerk? MTV made out like bandits, West's posse is proud, Beyonce is the heroine, and unfortunately Taylor Swift was the target. Apparently Russel Brand just wasn't vulgar enough to garner buzz last year so they had to up the ante with another display of decorum from the master of crude insults. You can bet your arse it was planned.

Pubby: Because the government rebate is a replacement for money from the consumer, the tax is a wash on a per vehicle basis. You would have to prove how many additional automobiles were sold, and net corporate income and registration fees on those sales would indeed add to the tax base. You may also want to consider what wasn't sold or produced because that $4500 was taken from somebody else, or, if the "money" was indeed created from thin air, how that devalues all of the existing dollars and therefore contributes to inflation. There is no such thing as free money. Ask Jimmy Carter.

What additional "motivation" do you need for demand water heaters, storm windows and doors, high efficiency heating and cooling, and insulation??? These actually SAVE money over their lifetimes, so why should my tax dollars pay for you doing what makes total sense in the first place. Completely unlike the high cost, low yield, not ready for prime time technologies of Solar and Wind generation that will add billions to the deficit and raise the cost of your electrical bill by a minimum of 10%. If Austin raised your property taxes by 10% you would go into apoplexy. I say let the good ide

And the siggy statement below is probably more valid today than when Thurber coined it. -

Just as I suspected as I sat in that driveway in Melbourne Beach and watched that fake rocket blast off into fake space. I hope Oliver Stone and Michael Moore have been made aware of this. 詭ۏ䌅ゖ鉠윢굢첀№Ѕ稜 Pardon me, I must have had a power spike, I mean I must have hiccuped. -
Just keep in mind also that if you go to court and loose, you may have to pay court costs on top of the fine. Sorry about your bad luck. i hope that it works out.

Thank you for posting this PUBBY. All of America remembers that horrible day. May God rest their souls, and may God bless America.

“Time is passing. Yet, for the United States of America, there will be no forgetting September the 11th. We will remember every rescuer who died in honor. We will remember every family that lives in grief. We will remember the fire and ash, the last phone calls, the funerals of the children.” –George W. Bush

Where Were You on 9-11-01, When You Heard About the Twin Towers?
lotstodo replied to MillCreek's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The only time I ever heard Home Depot completely silent except for a single small radio in the front. Everything stopped. No more Airplanes in the sky. I let everyone go home from the job site when the first tower fell. -
I have just contacted them for the fifth time in 2 weeks of trying to get a problem fixed. My problem hasn't been trying to get through, just trying to get someone out here that understands what "move the line to the new pole" means. Every three days like clockwork they send some poor sap with a 6 foot stepladder, a screwdriver, and no clue out here to relocate 200 feet of main service line.

There's something wrong with that pickup line? -
Man I'm glad that they aren't closing down. I hope that they can do better in that space than the other restaurants that have tried. It's just as hard to get out of that lot as the one they are in now. I'll be there when they open. Thanks all for the info.

I mean it looked closed permanently closed. I sure hope not, I love the place.

So what happened to the new Oyster bar on Hwy 92 in Hiram? Went by there and it looked closed.
