There was a thread here about a car accident this morning. I think it was titled White Van. I'm not sure if it is the same accident but according to the information in that thread the person did not make it. I just checked and the thread is titled Accident today with White van in small letters. There isn't a whole lot of info though.

Way back in college I worked at a resort and we would place a hold of $100 over the cost of the room for each night you stayed to cover incidentals and what not. Basically that amount is on hold but not officially charged until the transaction is complete (in the case of a hotel stay when you checked out). I don't think it's one of the parents either. I know I couldn't get out of my kids school without several people saying Hi or Bye. I can't imagine him leaving with someone that no one knew. Yeah he was probably there and was moved when no one was paying attention. I sure hope we are all wrong.

I'm going to avoid going outside unless it is just to my car and back (I do have a few bills I need to pay and a package to mail). Otherwise I will just be catching up on housework. I sometimes find it annoying when those people are out there but today we gave a couple of dollars to a team or family behind the O'Charleys. I thought they were selling something for $6 and told my daughter to just give them a $1 then they handed us some fudge (apparently I misread the sign) so we gave another $1. Just got back in town and had all three in the mailbox. Third grader got all A's and exceeded in every area of the CRCT (Even got in the 900's on some subjects). My sixth graders lowest grade was an 89 and the rest were A's, he met or exceeded in every subject on the CRCT and my seventh grader got all A's (even in Venture LA~YAY!) and exceeded on all her CRCT's. She actually got a perfect score in LA, only one wrong in SS and only 2 wrong in Math. I'm so proud.

We have the old ones and two of the new ones. I have no plans to return them. I love those glasses. I already told the kids they couldn't use the new ones anymore (didn't realize about the older ones) just to be safe. I don't want to be accused of child abuse or anything~lol.

Even though I have had some issues lately I would have to say Direct TV as well. I have found that our service has been going out more than normal. Most night atleast one of our satelites is out. Even though it only rained for a short period earlier in the day we missed several season finales including American Idol and 24. I was on the phone with them that night and they did offer to send someone out the following week but it usually kicks back on late the next morning. I was just reading this. The article I read said this new girl died exactly 5 years from the Hollaway disappearance. Wow! So sad. At least they have him on video with the suspect and a witness who saw them together. It also said there was a lot of blood in the room and it looks like there was quite a struggle. I hope he left some DNA.

I don't agree with this statement at all. I have three kids ages 9, 12 and 13 and they have never been spanked, never gotten in trouble at school, they get EXCELLENT grades and even though they can drive me nuts I have been told time and again that they behave very well in school and when visiting other households. I have siblings who are just a few years out of school who were also never spanked, went to college (U of M, Notre Dame and NYU) on scholarships and are all productive members of society. On the other hand I have met several kids with behavior problems who do come from homes
