INCANDESENT LIGHT BULBS.......IF THE GOVERNMENT IS INVOLVED
rockster replied to lowrider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Can I ask, how does your company dispose of the old mercury based materials when doing a retrofit?? Honest question, I'll be looking for your response. -
When I lived in PC a couple of years ago by myself, my water bill avg'd around $22/month and this included a fee for the street lights. I was on a septic system. Since I have moved to NC and the water bill is very expensive but does include sewer charges. So, can anyone compare with me the per 1000 gallon rates you pay on the water bill? Here I pay: Per 1,000 gallons: 12,000 or less: $2.64 12 to 24,000 : $3.69 24,000 plus : $5.28 Sewer charges are set at $3.59 per 1,000

INCANDESENT LIGHT BULBS.......IF THE GOVERNMENT IS INVOLVED
rockster replied to lowrider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I have a stockpile of new incandesent bulbs stored. I just can't see at this point what good the Govt regulations are helping ME, and others. ie; I have relatives in Winchester, VA. Due to the Govt regulations, GE closed a light bulb manufacturing plant there about a year ago laying off over 200 employees.......................and relocated the operation to Mexico!!!!! And this IS NOT the only company that has shut it's operations in the USA and relocated elsewhere. -
INCANDESENT LIGHT BULBS.......IF THE GOVERNMENT IS INVOLVED

I can understand LED being a huge plus for commercial applications, but at this time in our economy not soo much for residential. What would be the return on investment for a typical household retrofitting to LED? Say a average 2000 sqft home? Also, are the products you sell made in the USA? -
Can someone explain the reasoning in widening Bill Carruth Pkwy?
rockster replied to tbird's topic in RECENT TOPICS
All I am saying is they, State & Local, knew West Hiram Pkwy was designed to be a four lane from the get-go. Why didn't they go ahead while having the construction done on a portion of the path (less future EHP), and do it (ie; bridges)? I would imagine the cost to do it at the time would be more favorable to finish it as a four lane compared to nickel & diming it as they are now, but I do understand how the "funding" comes into place. (refer to my planning in advance and how the Gov't operates) Additionally, if plans are to build a medical facilty they need to go ahead and complet -
Can someone explain the reasoning in widening Bill Carruth Pkwy?

"planning in advance"??? That's not how the Gov't thinks. When West Hiram Parkway was first conceived the idea was for it to be a four lane, but due to the hidesite thinking of elected officials and "funding", they installed it as a two lane to be increased to four w/in a few years. What idiots!!! Why not construct something knowing the future needs while you have the contracted help and equipment onsite. Now I can see it is going to be a major undertaking and a costly one at that, esp concerning the bridges over the RR tracks and SCT. -
Just got my annual renewal in North Carolina. $28.00 flat fee

I refuse to pay any fees for using my debit card. The banks are just pigs wanting to add fees to anything. Crap, they even want a monthly fee to copy my cancelled checks on my monthly statement. I truly believe in this massive financial time most people will start leaning to getting safe boxes to hide around their homes with their cash, and start paying cash only on many daily purchases.

Past accident history at that intersection should justify a light being installed ASAP. Flood the DOT and BOC with emails. Athlough, that may fall on the State DOT

The Board of Commissioners have appealed the Rulings

Good luck with even getting them to appear "in said documentary". Pigs will fly before then. -

Is Netflix an advertiser on this site? Just sayin

True I assume as the pre-register. Although I am assuming two or three years ago the sitting commission must have missed screening one certain person wanting to speak. Remember when a citizen blasted JS and was called a fool during the BOC meeting. That citizen is a current commissioner now. Just guessing, that was a political stunt gone bad
-
Although no longer in PC, I had heard they passed the new rules so they could screen the persons wanting to speak. Ya know, a concerned taxpayer and citizen of the county of wanting to make a statement or having a question. I mean really, shouldn't the BOC mtgs give the average taxpayer an opportunity to voice their concerns or ask questions? from the elected ones?

You need some sort of antenna. I got some rabbit ears at HD for around $15, and it picked up at least 36 channels. The channels came in crystal clear. I since have gotten cable, but the converter box is being used at the camper at the lake hooked into the ant on the camper and picks up maybe six stations. That's due to the fact the camper is located in the middle of no where

My personal thesis on the negative effects of ethanol

On board with that. Bought some fuel stabilizer to add to my gas tanks for either riding mower, trimmers and such, MUCH less marine engines -
I assume your 10 degrees is measured in celsius and not fehrenheit? I have a heat pump system here, and I can tell you when the temps in winter get below, say 40 F, it is not efficient at all. It eats up some electrical when the emerg heat strips kick in, not to mention it does not heat the house up like an electric or gas furnace would. Although I will admit, it is very efficient cooling the house even in 95 F temps outside

Tell em to have your workstation ready for you to perform your job at Xam. Although, in these times be thankful you have a job

This must be a "punch the clock" type job. Although, I understand what you are saying. During my years from a teen I always loved having a paying job. But if you are saying some folks wait until their 8-5 shift to get busy turning on their computer, I hear ya. What a shame. I always showed up early to be prepared!!!!

I'm Looking For A Way To Eliminate Advertising On My TV
rockster replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Eddie there are several ways to bypass commercials depending on what service "you pay for", such as cable or sat dish. Keep in mind, as others have stated, it is advertising revenue for those that produce the programming to keep airing and pay staff. Off the TV subject and commercials. I found a way to hide the ads on this site! Only cause I do not live in the area anymore and just want to keep up with the local "stuff" being posted. Nothing against Pubby as I know he has to have commerce ads to help keep the site operating, but I just don't care to have the ads running since they are loca -
IF, properly installed by code at the time you should not have a problem. Although, just a few past years most things were, umm, approved by a hand shake in Paulding County.
