Hire an independant inspector, not one that was recommended by the seller or agent

LOL. I have plenty of pics of different events, incl the gathering a bunch of folks went to for Diehard

I very much doubt you would see a deduction, but never hurts to inquire. I have since moved from Hiram but my agent did mention last year that insurance premiums would be going up due to the claims folks made from the hail damage (April 2009) and having their roofs replaced. Additionally keep in mind the floods of Sept 2009 in PC. Granted a majority of people did not have flood insurance, but I would assume the payout on those that did would reflect a slight increase of premiums for all that live in that region.

Surfs Up!! Got my camera charged for pics. As well as preparing for just simple things like a full tank of gas, water, canned foods, batteries, etc. Hope it stays off shore, but locally here as of today they are speaking of possible major beach errosions at the least. From Carolina Beach, have a great night -

It's a sad situation. But, NG I must commend you and your hubby on running a small business. I can tell you are frustrated with the current economy, as well as many others. I must say knowing both of you, you two are damn sure to help out with folks needing employment as best you can. I can tell many stories, but you know what I am talking about. You're based in Paulding, and try the very best to contribute not only to the workforce but as well as the community as well. And that my friends, I commend you and hubby

Interesting observation at the Courthouse this morning

That would fall under a state agency for inspections - Dept of Labor. The state must be behind on doing their inspections -
Could be just a couple of things. How old is the water heater?? As a couple of folks have said, it could be the T&P valve. Could be the drain valve on the tank. I tend to not mess with those two things since a small piece of trash in the tank could keep either valve leaking just a bit. If it is an older tank, maybe corrosion has taken a toll and may need to be replaced

Just for fun- What was your first paying job?

Chevron full service gas station if any of you can remember them. At the old age of 13 making min wage, but I did make commissions on any fluids I did sell such as oil, trans fluild, etc -
I'd go with A. As in B, most rental/fleet vehicles (IMO) have been "exercised" to some limits. NOT that I would know

Paulding County BOC passes millage rate increase
rockster replied to LPPT's topic in Paulding County NEWS
True, but I believe the surcharge for cell phones came into place maybe about 18 mths ago. Correct me if I am wrong, and excuse me as if I am just using the E911 system as an example, but I thought the E911 center upgraded to new and purdy communication equipment about two or three years ago.....state of the art tech. Soo, not only they want funding from the SPLOST, much less from the general budget, but what do you think the monthly collection revenues from phone users add up to????? -
Paulding County BOC passes millage rate increase
rockster replied to LPPT's topic in Paulding County NEWS
LOL NG. Even though I do not at this time have a dog in the fight, those tactics are happening all over. Here in June, New Hanover County folks voted for a sales tax increase, which passed. THE VERY next day by 10am, the BOC decided the math was WAY OFF, and needed to raise the property tax rate. WTF. Naturegirl, pls clarify something for me that may have been in the SPLOST agenda concerning E911. Guess they need to upgrade certain communication systems...................but aren't us cell phone users getting a surcharge of $1.50/month towards the Paulding E911 system????? -
So WHO enforces this? I also hate when a subdivision has clearly stated "no soliciting" signs posted and all the junk is still placed on the driveway or mailbox, including political crap.

Same here. I am gettibg off here now

That happened in Macon several years ago on Riverside Dr. Crown Gas station had a fountain out front and the road was nothing but slick and bubbles..............not that I anything to do with it

Although I no longer live in PC, I did enjoy seeing an establishment open up in the Cotton Gin Plaza. I did have many good times when R&R opened. I just hope they as a local restaurant are not closing. I believe Robert had a vested interest in the Gulf with a couple of "seafood" boats as to where he could transport the fresh catch to Hiram to serve. Often have wondered if that fresh catch went away. Just saying and assuming, the fisherman on the Gulf, as well as many that rely on fresh seafood are hurting bad due to the oil spill

I liked what we got at Phat Phils. That is the only time I have had it and thought it was very good

Bacon wrapped scallops are good. They can be baked or cooked on the grill. I do mine in my rotisserie oven. They are yummy. With the bacon drippings constantly marinating the scallops. I do shrimp wrapped in bacon the same way

Too many BS loopholes. A few years ago water pump went out in my truck. Had it replaced and went to get emission inspection. I was told because of the repair the computer needed to reset itself with about 100 miles of travel. WTF, I needed the emission test to get a current tag!!!! So anyways....................just find a back road and punch the pedal to blow out the system w/o getting caught by the popo and let the system reset. It does work

Ding, ding. If you have a roofer that does show up w/o a truck that has a ladder rack with a ladder on it, RUN. Same as for a electrian that shows up with no meter, much less a HVAC tech with no gauges
