  1. I had this phone (through T-Mobile) until I got my iPhone last year. The blackberry was okay - but it was slow and the screen resolution wasn't as good. I didn't download any apps, I don't know if there are any for the blackberry. BUT, before I got the iPhone, I didn't know what I was missing. So, if you don't have an iPhone or other smart phone, you won't notice anything bad. Phone reception and email were great on the blackberry.
  2. Is this full time or part time - I know someone looking for FT that would be great.
  3. I'm allergic to mangoes, but you could use them to make a mango chutney to go over pound cake. Or, you could pour the chutney over cream cheese for an easy appetizer. It's so wrong to be allergic to something so tasty!!!
  4. You're real estate agent isn't taking care of that for you? It's been forever, but when we bought our house, our earnest money was deposited into an escrow account and we never dealt with it again.
  5. Hubby takes the can to the curb in our house so I let him make the decision.
  6. Chaz Bono received a court order saying that she/he is no longer a female and is now a male and she/he has legally changed her/his from Chastity to Chaz name. I just don't understand gender reassignment - if you want to do that, that's great, but it bothers me that a court can tell you that you are no longer a male or a female, when your sex was determined at birth.
  7. I can tell you that I have encouraged a couple of seniors that I know to apply for food stamps once I looked at the requirements - the economy is NOT improving for them.
  8. Both - it gives the Superior Court the ability to decide these cases without the cost of removing it to a federal venue to get declaratory relief.
  9. Actually, I don't see how it's overly broad to allow the Superior Courts to enter a declaratory judgment (upon petition by the party seeking declaratory relief) in the case. If it's appropriate in a case (and it's not in most cases), it's a way to end a case without having to further waste the court's time. Most of the cases that I can think of that seek declaratory relief are seeking a temporary or permanent injunction - like in a case over the validity a non-compete agreement.
  10. Where are you going with this - people seek declaratory judgments in all sorts of cases in Georgia. Frivolousness is probably dependent on which side of the case you're on...
  11. Or you could be like me - I get off of work at 4:30, yet I'm still at work... Good times....

    Food Stamps

I would reapply online - when I put those numbers in, it shows that she might be eligible for benefits. Worst thing that could happen is that they tell you no again. Even if it's just $16 a month, that's better than nothing if they need it.

    Food Stamps

Call the drug manufacturer - they always advertise that if you cannot afford the drugs you need to contact them. I don't know what they will do or tell you, but it's an avenue that might help.

    Food Stamps

I think I have the answer. According to the info I found on the food stamps program online, "elderly/disabled households may qualify for benefits regardless of their amount of gross income." I played around with the Compass site trying to find the maximum eligibility rates for seniors - it looks like if you are a senior who gets $1600-2000 month and pay about 40-50% of that in mortgage/rent - you are eligible for benefits. It may not be much, but at least it's something that might help. This is great news to me because I know a couple of seniors that come to our food ministry who
  15. Does anyone know what the income requirements are for senior citizens to receive food stamps?
  16. Although many may disagree, I have had nothing but wonderful service from Bank of America. Been with them since before they were C&S National Bank.
  17. No thanks - I'll wait until the facts come out. I'll leave you to debate the perils and faults of Christianity with the others. Enjoy your day!
  18. But this topic is about the article and it doesn't provide an "example" of anything except that a guy who happens to have the title of "Rev." is suing someone. We know NOTHING more than that.
  19. Actually, I just re-read the article and a couple of others. Other than the fact that he has the title of "Rev.," there is no mention of Christianity in the articles. So, again, I'm not sure why that matters in this situation. But, hey, maybe you're reading a different article.
  20. Actually, if you know how to get in touch with the organizer of the consignment sale, let them know. Every sale that I have sold things in has someone who is supposed to check AND REJECT items that are dirty or stained. That's just nasty!!!
  21. We use Cotton States. And, quite frankly, with the great service that we have had from them over the years, if our policy were to go up, I'm not sure that I would switch - I'm that happy with them.
  22. Again, what does this article have to do with "church" or being "christian." Someone has filed a lawsuit seeking money they believe they are owed - IMO the fact that he has the title "Rev." in front of his name is about as important as "Mr." or "Dr." Church is an awesome place - it's where some of us sinners and hypocrits go to learn more about God, repent of our sins, and pray that we do things better the next time around. If you see a hypocrit in church, leave your judgment at the door and thank God that they are in the right place.
  23. Did I miss something? The article didn't say anything about suing for tithes or on behalf of the church - it says that he is suing for "compensation" promised to him. Maybe there's another link somewhere, I didn't watch the news last night.
  24. Nope, my guess is that he's long gone and is in hiding in another country.
