  1. Call Warehouse of Hope and see if they need help.
  2. And you can get $25 Home Depot cards for 500 points.
  3. Simply tell them that if Santa doesn't get a list soon, there will be socks and underwear under the tree for them and that's it. That should jog their brains enough to produce a list....
  4. I may be wrong, but if you are receiving medicaid or peachcare, I would think that your citizenship has already been verified.
  5. I would say that you should just post and let the Mods do what they will with it or send a PM to Pubby for an explanation of the policy because it isn't very clean. The post from a few weeks ago said that you couldn't put the name of a non-commerce member in the post, but I easily found other postings that had company names in them that were not commerce members....

    ROAD

Think about it, if so many are against it, doesn't it merit taking the time to look at their reasons why?
  7. Publix - they make it fresh daily in the store.
  8. Bojangles was advertising that they would have them.
  9. It's not racist or any form of racism. There are far too many people in this world who are overly sensitive about the color of a person's skin - so much so, that even referring to it when describing a person is found offensive (which, IMO, is ignorance at its best). I'm a white woman, you can refer to me as such, regardless of your race, sex, national origin, or sexual preference.
  10. No worries, they're all out looking for cat food coupons to pass on to DGITW. They will be here later...
  11. HOLD IT!!!!! I'm perfectly willing to believe that you have a cat, but YOU used a coupon???? Now that's just a little far fetched.... What's next, are you going to start stalking the AJC guys on the weekends and buying 100 newspapers so you can get 100 bottles of hot sauce for free?
  12. That probably depends on what they have to do. What I can tell you is that the last time the hubby had to have something other than a cleaning, he walked out of there with a statement of what the charges would be on his next visit.
  13. I think LifeSmiles of New Hope is offering a $99 first visit for a cleaning and x-rays. I highly recommend them.
  14. I don't think so - think about it, most victims of abuse do not report it until they feel like they are in a position where they are protected from the abuser and are comfortable speaking out about it.
  15. And she probably didn't call the police because he is a judge...
  16. I'm now more astounded - people on this board are defending the guy after you clearly saw him swing that belt with full force and repeatedly hit that girl and the mother allowed it to happen. If you get hit enough, you learn how to internalize your emotions, that doesn't make the physical pain any less. If what she did was so wrong, as a judge, why didn't he set a better example and call the sheriff and have her arrested - that would have sent a very strong message. If you want to discipline your child with a spanking, that's fine - I spank my child. BUT, when you get to the point where
  17. I'm astounded - the parents crossed the line and should be held accountable.
  18. Yuuummmm the Gobbler Sammich and a slice of Sweet Potato Pie -- Thanksgiving bliss!!!
  19. Say "yes" to a road I am paying nothing for??? Who is going to police this road? Who is going to maintain the road? What benefit will the county get from the road? Will they receive tax revenues? How much? What happens if the "owner" of the road goes belly up, who takes over? What happens if they start this road and then run out of money? What happens when big business sees that while this is a great pass through from the traffic of I-75 through Atlanta, but the infrastructure of Paulding CANNOT handle having a big business in the county? If this plan were well thought out, the a
  20. I really wish you delivered to Midtown Atlanta - the Turkey Lurky and Gobbler sound yummy!!
  21. That's the problem - not enough information is out there.
  22. Maybe these have been answered, but I didn't see it above. This is a proposed private road - not public to be maintained/owned/managed by the counties, right? Who will own it? Who will be responsible for maintaining it? And, as a private toll road, how much money will Paulding see from the project? Will they purchase the properties involved or will the counties buy them and "lease" them to the private entity? What will be the term of the lease? What happens when the lease is up? ETA: I just listened to Pubby's story on the road and there is a lot of ambiguity there - IMO if we're g
  23. See, they DO listen to their customers!!
  24. Actually, people know what it is, they just don't think it applies to them.
