I'm sitting here watching cars trying to go up the hill to get out of our sub and they just keep sliding off the road and sliding back down. One person slid through the 3 way stop and ended up in my driveway. I'm just waiting to see how many mail box posts last through this. Stay home folks!

On the HD Flat Panel without the box I don't get any channels in the 73.## range. I just checked and 5-1 and 2-1 are still broadcasting FOX and ABC, but NBC and CBS are no longer on 11-1 and 46-1 so I guess I just won't be watching those two stations any longer. When Comcast finally takes 5-1 and 2-1 down I guess I'll see about hooking my TV's to the PC and just replay from the Internet and tell Comcast where to stick it. It seems Comcast only wants to give deals to NEW customers and not to those who have been loyal to them for a couple of decades.

I have 9 TVs in our house and I've been slowing going through and replacing them one by one with flat panel TVs. So I've bought 4 so far and only one TV has the mandatory "Digital Starter" cable box on it. The rest of the TVs are connected directly to the Cable - no other box. I still get all the channels on the non-HD TVs and up until a week or so ago I was getting HD channels on each of the HD Flat Panels on the channels I noted above. Right now, I can no longer get HD NBC on 11-1 (11-2 and 11-3 are also off) and can only get NBC on channel 12 (in Low Def). The same goes for CBS. It used

It's unreal! The stations (Kroger and QT) at 61 and 278 have regular at $2.65. The station over here at Ingles at Nebo - Dallas/Nebo has regular at $2.51. Go figure!

I used to be able to get NBC on 11-1 and CBS on 46-1. I can still get FOX on 5-1 and ABC on 2-1. Has anyone found where these stations moved to? I only have one cable set box in our house (which really limits that TV since I can't get any HD stations through the set-box) so all of the other flat panel HD sets would get the 4 major stations in HD. But it looks like 2 of them are no longer working. Also 11-2 (Weather) doesn't work either. I just talked with the folks at Wachovia today and they told us that the merger with Wells Fargo won't be completed until the end of 2010. There are some issues with the different lengths of account numbers with the two systems and they don't want to put either group in a hardship of making the change. We were told that the Wells Fargo customers will probably be affected most since their account numbers are shorter than Wachovia's. When you mentioned strange sounds coming from your speakers you weren't very specific. When I have the volume turned all the way down on mine, I can hear either a radio station or cell phone calls coming through my speakers, although I can't understand a word what they're saying. I can simply turn the volume up slightly and it goes away. Talk about voices in my head...

There is no true "investigative" reporting any longer. There are just people who repeat stories told to them. Very few news media outlets (local or national) go out searching for facts any more.

I don't think I'd accept any job going door to door. I value my life too much for that. I lost my Dad this past May (Memorial weekend) and my Mother passed in September. They were both very healthy this time last year. Of course, I had just had open heart surgery this time last year. This has been a tough year.

I have the mustache/goatee now, and had a beard for probably 20 years or longer. It is only a pain when I go on-site somewhere and do a plant visit and then I have to wear a hair net AND a beard net. I'd probably shave it off but my wife likes it.

You do need to be careful about something related to garage door openers. Since GPS systems have become so cheap, many people just leave them in their cars, and many cars come with them pre-installed - as well as garage doors openers already installed.
