There is no oil coming ashore in PCB. That is the problem with the news media and others who don't know what they're talking about. NOAA is forecasting that there may be some landfall of tar balls as far east as Ft. Walton beach area and Destin is in the area of uncertainty for the next 3 days. Panama City Beach and eastward (Mexico Beach, Port St. Joe, Appalach) are still outside the area of uncertainty and do not have any oil, nor is oil predicted to be in those areas in the near term. There was, however, an interesting event on the west end of PCB this past Saturday. A 500 gallon oil

Will that also apply to the digital convertors - not the normal set top boxes?

Yes they did, and it costs them more to process a rotary phone call than it did for a touch tone call. I kept my rotary phone (I think I still have it in the attic) and made them continue processing those calls for years. They finally took off my touch tone charges to get me to discontinue using my rotrary phone. Comcast will give you the first one or two digital adaptors but they charge for anything above that. Since we have a lot of TVs it's going to cost a bundle to get them (re: rent them). If I find I need them I'm going to look on eBay to see if I can find them to buy instead of payi

That's right. Teach your childs to accept welfare. That way they won't think anything is wrong with it when they grow up to be adults.

Since they didn't have air conditioning back then they were used to the hot weather. My grandmother would never use the air conditioner. If was difficult just to get her to use a fan.

I have a feeling that what Comcast isn't telling you is that if you've purchased a TV in the last couple of years, it already has a digital receiver. They quit making analog TV sets a few years ago. And if you have a newer set with a digital receiver you should have to get a digital adapter from Comcast at $1.99 per month. That might not sound like a lot but when you think of the numbers of people who might not need the adapter and is talked into renting one from Comcast that ends up being a lot of money per year. For me, it would be an extra $214.92 per year - that I might not need. I've

Darius Rucker might take offense to that.

Since they like what the NAACP stands for maybe we should go back to calling them 'colored people'? Can you imagine the uproar if someone started: National Association for the Advancement of White People? White College Fund? Miss White America? White history month? White Entertainment Network? Reverse discrimination? Those first two get me since they don't like being called 'Colored People' or 'Negros' but they maintain and keep promoting those organizations.

He told the Holloway family weeks ago he knew the location. And they paid him money (in conjucntion with the FBI sting) but his story came up empty.

They say now it due to their policy that they don't honor religious figures. The Empire State Building honored the 60th anniversary of the Chinese Communist revolution (whose dictator Mao Zedong was responsible for the deaths of millions of people) in light but not Mother Teresa or others. So what was their reason for not honoring the Marine Corps birthday? "The few. The Proud. The Dissed." http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2010/06/11/2010-06-11_evil_empires_been_rotten_to_the_corps_marines_say.html Sounds like the Empire State Building Lighting Partners are a bunch of Anti-A

I've got friends that have Tom-Tom and Garmons. Neither has been able to compare to my NaviOne. But I guess you get what you pay for.

Signs, Signs, Everywhere there are Signs

Drew Lane has got to go anyway - regardless of the signs. I've seen his incompetence first hand in the courtroom. My vote is going to Dick Donovan. I've seen his expertise in the courtroom first hand. He should have won this position 4 years ago. -
You did tell him what they do to horses that break the same leg twice, right? :-)

We go to the one (I think it's called Nails and Tan next to Johnny's pizza) on 278 in Hiram to get our hands and feet done. My DW gets her's a lot more often but if I'm out with her and she's getting her's done then I usually will too. I've seen a few other guys in there. I guess I've been there enough times that it doesn't seem strange to me anymore.

I haven't seen Wayne in a while either. Does he still work for them?

What? You don't think saying "knowing whose ass to kick" is taking charge?

What happens if you move somewhere else and end up with a similar neighbor? I think you need to stand your ground and if you feel the law is being broken then get LE involved. It doesn't appear that your neighbor is taking your concerns seriously.

I've got my absentee vote ballots. I usually vote early but I want to wait until closer to the election date in case some one does something that changes my vote. You know, people oftentimes get desperate during the final days...

I always thought that they should equip school buses with those lap bars like they have on the roller coaster rides at Six Flags. Think of how much good that will do the driver - stop the bus, open the lap bars to let folks on or off, lower the bar and drive away. Think of the fights and misbehaving kids that will be curtailed by making them stay in their seats. Seat belts usage would have to rely on the kid buckling up. A lap bar would be up to the school bus driver. I could see so many uses of this...

We're going to PCB at least 3 times this summer. We have some friends in Pensacola and they are having a hard time finding any of those tar balls they were talking about. They were hoping to capture one as a souvenir. They said that the winds have shifted and blowing everything back out to the gulf.

Just make sure you go before the oil slick fully gets into the Loop Current. If that happens they are predicting that the oil will scatter on the beaches from Ft Lauderdale to Cape Hatteras. The amount of oil on the beaches on the panhandle is going to be more of a nuisance than anything else. Even with the tar balls coming in at Pensacola, people are still enjoying the beaches and getting in the water. The beaches are not closed. However, even though there is no oil close to PCB the water was closed yesterday with double red flags. Even with oil in the water, PCB still can't be beat. Plus the
