I have seen GSP sitting back at the beginning of that Gore zone and just about every time he gets parked he has to go after someone. I can't believe some people would cross the Gore right in front of a cop. However, every morning I see people on I-285 east changing into the right lane after Roswell and crossing the double white lines there. If the cops are out there they are righting a bunch of those folks up. It's either there or those that dart across the solid white lines at the 400 exit at the last minute.

So, just to make sure that some people haven't also forgotten... A Gore area is also found in parking lots. Those areas with the stripes are illegal to park in. Lane changes. When you are on a multiple lane road (e.g. interstate) you are to signal you lane change intention and when clear change to an adjacent lane. After maintaining that lane for a specified distance (don't remember the exact distance) you can signal again and make another lane change. You are not, legally, allowed to change multiple lanes all in one swoop. (technical term there)

Possible Uses for Seven Hills Extension
Georgia Dawg replied to mdbailey's topic in Paulding County NEWS
You couldn't give me a house out there in Seven Hills. I can't believe paying that much and getting to watch garbage trucks all day long. -
Sitting on our balcony, legs propped up, sipping a Margaritta, listening to the waves crashing on the beach, watching a lighting storm out over the Gulf.

If you get a hunger for Crab Legs you should try Chow Time Buffet over on 23rd at 77. For all you can eat it's much less expensive than Captain Jack's.

I ended up getting assigned to wash our clothes. After washing my wife's clothes and drying them (which resulted in her's skrinking) I am no longer allowed to wash her clothes.

Too bad nobody was packing when the perp came inside the bank.

Right is right, wrong is wrong. You get a ticket for wrong. However, if you can catch a judge on a good day then they can be lenient. The Judge didn't tell him it was okay and continue doing it. If you catch the judge on a bad day he might double the fine so it's a gamble.

Awesome site for all of us Beach stressers

There's too much water flow coming from the Mississippi and the Bay for the slick to travel too far east toward Destin and PCB. Like I have been saying on here for several weeks that it is more likely for the slick to get caught up in the Loop Current and whip it around the southern coast of Florida. And it looks like that's becoming a real possibility now. As far as PCB, they wouldn't be using the Marina as a staging location if they felt the oil slick was coming in there. But I can tell you that the beaches were wonderful this past weekend and are expected to continue that way for quite -
The term "gore" probably originates from the dressmaker's term for a triangular piece of cloth.

Yeah, I wish some people would wake up a little earlier, leave a little earlier. Or if not, at least wake up a little earlier and get dressed and made up and leave at your same time. It seems so stupid when I see the same people, morning after morning putting on their makeup while driving to work. I remember my wife making a big deal about wanting to buy a makeup mirror that had special lights that coud be changed based on the lighting of the environment you're going into. It makes me wonder who works in a place that is lit in a similar fashion as a vanity light on the back of the sun visor i

Speaking of the Gore area that can get you in trouble, another one is the SOLID WHITE LINE. Many people don't apparently know that it is illegal to cross a Solid White Line on the road. You will see these at exits and entrances to the interstate and also dividing a group of turn lanes from straight on traffic. For some reason, crossing the Solid White Line carries a heavier traffic fine than getting into or parking in a Gore area. Don't believe me? Try doing it in front of a cop and see for yourself.

Actually you have that backwards. The Idiots are the ones with an IQ between 0 and 25. They drive too slow on the Interstate. Morons have an IQ between 51 and 70. They drive too fast on the Interstate. Those in between 26 and 50 are considered Imbeciles. They drive on the Interstate. And we only thought we were crazy...

County wants bonuses repaid after 16 years.........
Georgia Dawg replied to dawneykids's topic in RECENT TOPICS
"Workers asked to return bonuses after 16 years". Asked is a voluntary, optional action. If that is not the case then the reporter should have worded the title of the article correctly to "Workers demanded to return bonuses after 16 years" -
I had never thought about the problems living on the west side until I moved to the Atlanta area. The idiots on I-20 are just that - sunshine or not. I try to get to work before the sun comes up and leave work well before sundown just to avoid that.

Then I would provide my own stamp and envelope for the teacher. Seeing as I can do that myself I can help by subcontracting that effort out to myself.

Her title probably says 'Replacement Title' on it, so your title would trump hers anyway. Besides, if she did get a title by the Bill of Sale knowing that you already had title to the vehicle then she's in deep trouble. She had to sign this on the application for the replacement title and that falsification is a FELONY. Under the provisions of §40-3-31, paragraph (5), of the O.C.G.A., I/we do solemnly swear under penalty of a felony for making a material false statement punishable by a fine up to $5,000.00 or by imprisonment of up to five- (5) years or both that the statements conta

If the fence is built right on the line the fence will oftentimes become the "line". On one plat I had our property line was described as the "meandering fence". Whenever adjoining landowners tacitly accept a fence line or other monument as the visible evidence of their dividing line and thus apparently consent to that line, it becomes the boundary by acquiescence.

Is Illegal College Student Receiving Special Treatment?
Georgia Dawg replied to MillCreek's topic in RECENT TOPICS
She should be deported immediately. She broken several laws and anyone working to keep her here should be arrested for aiding and abetting. We are a nation of laws. If you don't like the law, then write to your representative to have the law changed. But What Would Jesus Do? I think it's pretty clear, Jesus said "Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's..." -
The cheapest solution would probably be to use the folks who did the survey when you purchased the property. Or you could hand over the plat to a new survey company and that might make it cheaper. Mine was done by Etowah Engineering and Surveying. My link

Exactly! At least with dye packs the criminal knew that if they touched it the pack would explode and cover them with dye. What's the GPS unit gonna do when they reach in and toss it out the window? Where are they gonna hide it - in a stack of bills? If they configure the GPS unit with a tazer to make them stay away from it they'll just sue them for using a tazer.

If you're not sure, then you should plan on getting someone to open it for you this year and watch everything they do. If you try to do it yourself and are unsure on what you need to do then you might find the cost of doing it yourself or using someone to do it for you about the same. A lot depends on the condition of your pool. If it is green then you could spend a lot of time and money on getting it cleaned up yourself or have someone do it and watch what they do so you'll know what to do next time. When you said 'getting the fixings all back" and "getting the pump going" that concerns

Too bad, the source for this is very questionable. No credibility.
