  1. That's the plan. And until someone present evidence otherwise, you only live once.
  2. Hmmm, they already have a cookie diet and a Taco Bell drive-thru diet, so why not an ice cream diet?
  3. I'm keeping this fellow airman, and so many others, in my thoughts.
  4. Quit Häagen-Dazs ice cream and share!
  5. That's what I heard. And while I'm here...who cares what Danny Glover thinks? For right or wrong, he's a friggin actor...big freaking deal.
  6. Did Don Draper come up with that? Nevermind, they had Lucky Strike. We're all going to die of something, so go ahead and pick your poison: alcohol, cigarettes, Mack truck, solid waste falling from an airplane...
  7. It simply sounds to me like the organization has grown "too big for its britches" without the proper financial controls in place to ensure the necessary compliance. It is concerning that The Wyclef Jean organization gets little to no mention at all on some of the main charity evaluation websites. I would be highly skeptical about giving to that particular organization.
  8. Yep, it is definitely annoying. I would expect quite a few more months before serious repair work begins.
  9. There have been questions asked about Wyclef's charity...http://music.msn.com/music/article.aspx?news=452067&GT1=28102
  10. You were quite a bit closer than where I was. I was living in the San Gabriel Valley just east of Pasadena. The Landers quake in 1992 was something too. I woke up about a minute before the shaking and looked out my bedroom window to see bluish-green flashes of light off in the distance. Then the shaking hit, and it was explained to me later that the lights were transformers arcing with the shock-waves. I'll never forget that. My elementary school was on the other side of the hill of the Whittier Narrows quake in 1987. We had a decent amount of damage, but fortunately it happened befo
  11. Me too! I had a bookcase fall on me...16 years ago this month if memory serves. That one was the last big quake I've experienced.
  12. This is bad, very bad for the entire island. This is beginning to look like a disaster of epic proportions.
  13. ESPN has reported that Lane Kiffin is moving out of the SEC to USC after a single year with Tennessee. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4820737 I've tried to support him in the past, but I now fully believe that he's a slime-ball. I just noticed an entry regarding this on his wikipedia page; Gator fans might enjoy this entry: "On January 12th, 2010, ESPN reported that Lane Kiffin has agreed to become head coach of the University of Southern California because of a heightened fear of Urban Meyer returning to the University of Florida"
  14. I had to get an antennae to watch the basics when I got rid of satellite to save money. Besides missing a few minor bowl games, I really don't miss it. I just hook my laptop up to the tv and watch hulu or other sites if there is a show on cable that I want to see.
  15. Meh. I'm desensitized to the 'roids stuff now. If he had confessed in 1998, now that would have been shocking, even though anyone who had ever spent time with 'roiders knew what Big Mac was up to. Baseball turned a blind eye because it was making money hand over fist after the labor issues of the mid 1990s.
  16. The Football Cardinals also used to play in Chicago prior to their moves to StL and Phoenix. So, Chicago had both the Cubs and Cardinals in the same town.
  17. My cat's breath smells like catfood.
  18. Left early this morning for a test in Marietta, and the worst places to drive were a few sections on Windy Hill, and closer to home in Paulding, Garmon Rd in the low area by the marsh. Everything else was just fine. Just pay attention, don't overreact, and you'll be fine.
  19. There's no right way, to eat a Rhesus.
  20. Wow, that was about as bad a start as you could ask for...if you're pulling for Alabama.
  21. 'Bama. I've always liked Texas, but I've become a believer in Alabama over the course of the season. If Ingram goes, so goes the Tide.
