  1. Sure, but I'd only have like 3 people interested in backing me.
  2. Truer words were never spoken.
  3. Fair enough. I appreciate your thoughts.
  4. I thought my cats knocked something over...Lake Ramona area.
  5. If the alternative plan was worth more than the paper it was printed on, it would have received publicity, and a bill would have been passed a long time ago. FoxNews is the most viewed news network now...this media bias thing is losing its traction. If anything, the argument has turned the other direction; the conservative media is louder than it has been in my lifetime. As I stated in earlier posts, while I would like this bill to be much more sweeping, I am perfectly fine with starting with a minimal piece of health care reform, allowing for this discussion to be tabled for the time bei
  6. Depends on which poll is used, JMT. Newsweek conducted a poll that found that a majority was initially against this healthcare reform legislation, but once the actual features of the bill were presented, more people were in favor than were against it. This tells me that, while there are going to be many, many people adamantly against the bill, the all-important middle ground have been swayed by the very vocal minority (death panels, You Lie!, et al), and the majority hasn't explained the key features of the bill appropriately. It is all about advertising, and the Republicans have capitali
  7. Again, both tactics are completely legal. If there was enough outcry to ban one or the other, this would have happened years ago. It isn't as if a historian blew an inch of dust off the Congressional rulebooks and declared, "Hot damn, looky what I found!". I'm just sorry that 'Schoolhouse Rock' didn't cover these rules so the public doesn't act so surprised... I'm just a bill, Yes I'm only a Health Care bill, Taking the back door on Capitol Hill. The GOP said no to me, But they just might be too late. Should have picked better in 2000 and 08 I'm still not sure if I'll ever be a law
  8. Shake it once, that's fine. Shake it twice, that's ok. Shake it three times... Now THAT's indecent exposure.
  9. Might open up a few too many wounds that I'd prefer to keep closed...but it does look like a very moving picture.
  10. I love your movies. That's the difference between public and private...private business isn't a democracy. You check your personal rights at the door...it is all authoritarian once you step foot into your place of employment. Perhaps a national vote on some things would be worthwhile...
  11. Wow, glad you and yours are ok. There are a lot of crazies out there, and its only getting worse.
  12. It's completely legal, and has been for about 35 years. This should not be a surprise to anyone who pays attention to politics. Should Congress one day decide that this procedural tactic be abolished, then I'm all for it. Until then, I have zero problems with this legal tactics, regardless of the bill in question. That's in extremely poor taste.
  13. Give him one last shot, and then its small claims court time. Even though I ended getting my property back, I had similar lack of service and courtesy issues at the computer repair place by Kroger and Lil' Caesars in Dallas. I'll spare the details, but I had to make a number of visits and phone calls to figure out its repair status only to finally get it back completely untouched. Look, businesses, I can understand if you're busy, having turnover problems, whatever. Just let me know that you'll need extra time. Keep me in the loop at least. COMMUNICATION, people! I haven't had a sing
  14. I suppose if I was going to be stuck in traffic, seeing a zebra would at least be entertaining. I'm glad they caught the guy before he was hurt like Barcode was a few years back.
  15. The joke made your misery just that much more miserlicious.
