  1. It could be excessive speed for the situation, like a narrow pathway. Maybe he just had an argument with his wife, and took off distracted. We may never know, but I'm glad he's ok.
  2. Probably just driving like an idiot, excessive speed or something. ESPN says he's out of the hospital, so it obviously wasn't as bad as it first sounded.
  3. You got that too? You mean FedEx isn't holding a package for me? Crap. Just kidding
  4. The question is his judgment. You do not recover from something of this magnitude overnight. Mental illness is different from physical illness for a plethora of common sense reasons. The man needs to recover and rehabilitate without the burden of one of the more visible political positions in the state weighing on his shoulders. Does the oath say he should resign per se? No, but there is plenty of room to vacate his seat on his own accord or at least relinquish the speaker position, and there is also plenty of reason to question his decision making. The question is really: is his behavior
  5. Has anyone listed the oath of office for the state of Georgia? "I do hereby solemnly swear or affirm that I will support the Constitution of this State and of the United States and, on all questions and measures which may come before me, I will so conduct myself, as will, in my judgment, be most conducive to the interests and prosperity of this state. I further swear or affirm that I am not the holder of any unaccounted for public money due this state or any political subdivision or authority thereof, that I am not the holder of any office of trust under the government of the United States
  6. Nope, you didn't miss anything. What was there to miss?
  7. Definitely, I visit the site weekly, and I applied for 2 positions yesterday. I'm just waiting for the call...
  8. Well, AtlantaBry, your case has some more support: http://www.thebrunswicknews.com/open_access/editorial/
  9. The chances of a Democrat winning a seat from Paulding County are about as likely as the Falcons naming me starting QB this Sunday, or me winning the lottery, or that cute girl at the bank asking me out, or...
  10. Just got back from the Bumble Bee Bakery...got a great cinnamon bun and a good cup of coffee. Its a warm and comfortable environment, and I'll be back!
  11. Wish I could help, but I'm in the same boat! Try Ryla Teleservices in Kennesaw, they're one of the few that seem to hire on a regular basis.
  12. The crew is very, very lucky. I can't find the original article, but KABC (Los Angeles) reporter Adrienne Alpert was badly injured when the mast of her news van came into contact with power lines in 2000. She spent months in the hospital and in rehab after losing a foot and an arm. http://html.10news.com/sand/news/stories/news-20001122-164316.html
  13. Kohl's has a ton of sales this time of the year. If you're looking cheap, I found a very nice blazer at the Goodwill on JLS/278 for $5. Once drycleaned, it was in perfect condition.
  14. Sold! I'll go tomorrow! I've earned a treat after dropping 19 lbs.
  15. But they all made drastic improvements on the re-inspection a week later. Gotta learn from your mistakes, so good on them!
  16. Great to see this project getting off the ground. Thanks for sharing.
  17. Don't you mean "Fon-tucky"? That's what we called it growing up because it was so far out in the "sticks". It isn't out in the "sticks" anymore, that's for sure. It's population is creeping up near the 200,000 mark. Unbelievable. I'm with you. I miss the mountains badly, and access to the beach, etc., but unless I strike it rich, I ain't moving back.
  18. I laughed at that, scaring the crap out of my kittens.
  19. My daughter was born there. I'm sure just a couple of years apart
  20. For JLH or me? Just looking to get out of the house, get a beer or 3, and take it easy. Meet new people, yadda, yadda, yadda.
  21. MacFarlane's in Downtown Hiram. Unless something changed and I completely missed it, aren't they closed?
  22. I'll check out the Sports Cafe one of these days; I've actually been meaning to for a while. But, I'd like to stay in Hiram/Dallas/Powder Springs if possible.
