The driver of the car and her family are friends of mine and I work for Cobb. I hate it as much as anyone that she had to be charged, but ANYTIME there is a death involved, there has to be charges brought. The department has to be consistent in the way it investigates and brings charges on these type of accidents. Once she goes to court, the DA or Solicitor can throw it out. I agree that the punishment that she and all the families involved is going through should be enough, but the department is mandated by law to bring charges. I am a Christian and I am called to forgive and love everyone. That is such a hard thing to do because I am human and want to seek revenge on those people that have wronged me, but I cannot. I must forgive those people so they will no longer have control over me and I must love them as Christ loves us all. That doesn't mean that I still have to be around them or be involved in their lives or them in mine. This is a hard lesson that I have had to learn and I am still learning.

At one time in my life, I would have been one of those who kicked, screamed, yelled and pouted.. But now I have come to realize if no one died and the world didn't end it will be OK.. I just usually veg out in front of the TV and drink tea!

I am a people person and my hubby is not.. We are totaly opposites when it comes to that. I love talking to people, people watching and eavesdropping on conversations (i know that is rude), but I'm really just nosey.. Anyway, I'm in HR and it is the best job to have if you are a people person. The funny thing is though, I will not talk to people at the grocery store, unless I know them and I abhore small talk at a party, unless I have a common thread with the person that I am talking to... I'm an extrovert, but just wierd when it comes to talking to strangers.

I'm semi-homemade when it comes to my lemonade pound cake: I just get a sara lee pound cake, pour half of a pint of lemonade over it and let it sit overnight. Then I sprinkle it with powdered sugar when I'm ready to serve it and garnish it with raspberries or Strawberries.. So good and sooo easy. \\ funny about the garlic breath.. but if you both eat it doesn't it cancel it out?? LOL

baked ziti is always a good choice. add a salad, garlic bread and lemonade poundcake and it's a hit!

Old Cartersville is OK, some icy patches where it's shaded, the same as East Paulding, but once you get to Dallas Hwy, forget it.. it is a sheet of ice al the way to Marietta. Thankfully, one of our firefighters came and picked me and some others up for work today so I could at least process payroll.....
