My memory must be failing. I thought the person that did the mass shooting in Tenn. was Muslim along with the Texas mass shootings.

I for one am outraged. Obama says he is letting 10,000 in. Of course, since he is a Muslim he would welcome them with open arms. Why are the Muslim Countries not taking them in? Maybe, because they want to take over the world. I was appalled to read in this mornings AJC how much of our tax dollars go there. We spend more than any other country. Did I miss something? I was unable that we created this problem and it should not be our problem to resolve.

I read in the Marietta Paper one day last week, that there is a drivers license office on Old 41 about a mile from North Cobb High School and the wait time is an average of 9.9 minutes.

If you are talking about at Sandtown Road and Dallas Highway , it is nursing home. My friend sold most of that property, so I am fairly sure that is what is going there. The shopping area is to be at Dallas Highway and Casteel Road, which is just west of the Avenue.

Don't know much about Obamacare. I am insured though private insurance, that I worked 35 years to have these benefits in retirement. I have what Obamacare considers a Cadillac policy. Therefore, my premiums are to increase 285%. My company is scrambling to change this. I can see the deductibles and co-payments starting. They are already sending out mailers how they plan to change, which does seem to indicate that we will get some kind of health care spending account, that they will put money in every month. My Mom was hospitalized 3 times due to vertigo. They always just gave her the meds. Then she changed Drs. to Terry Langford who is a DO so he treats you rather then medicating you. He gave her some exercises to do. She never had another attack.

It is amazing to me that they no longer teach cursive in a lot of school and as I understand it is quickly becoming a thing of the past. Apparently, they have not taught it for a long time in some places. My great great grandfather's property is recorded in book 1 of the Paulding county deed book. Of course, it is written in cursive. I was trying to find out where the property was located. I handed it to a young man in his 20's working at the court house. He looked at it and said, I cannot help you. I ask why not? My corned beef and cabbage turned out excellent. I bought it at Sam's for $4.59 a pound. I thought that was high; but, it is not the same brand as Kroger and turned out to be much better. I cook mine in the crock pot. I do not add water, just put the meat on low. There is enough juice that no extra water is needed. This seems to intensify the flavor of the meat. I do not boil my cabbage. I sweat it with onions, and seasonings until desired doneness.

I saw a special on TV, in the middle of night, a couple of months ago. It was being studied through a nursing home in Israel. They were testing on everything from Parkinson, Arthritis, seizures, stoke patients and list went on and on. It every single situation, the results were positive. It was interesting to me, that if was used on daily basis, for treatment, it no effect on your ability to function, such as driving. I said it could not be studied here; because, the Agency Against Drug Abuse would even allow a study.

I think most of this stuff is garbage. On another note, I always laugh that buttermilk says fat free. It is naturally fat free, as the fat used to be removed to make butter. I think now that a culture is just added to make buttermilk.

My friend, whose family was in the egg business at least 50 years ago, agrees with msgastorm. She says the eggs should be washed with alcohol as soon as they are gathered. She says never put water on eggs until you are ready to use them. She says just prior to using them, wash with warm water and soap. She says that the eggs you buy at the grocery store, have only been through an alcohol bath and they, too, should be washed with warm water and soap just prior to using, which she does.

Is your carrier normally Brenda? She has been my carrier to years. Recently we have had mail problems and noticed that it was not Brenda. On Friday, we had a delivery of a package and Brenda came to the door. I asked her why she had not been delivering our mail and she her Mom got sick and then she had the flu, so had been out for quite a while. I told her of the mail problems we had while she was gone. I told her I am not sure what all we did not get; but, I knew for sure we did not get our Summerville News and was unsure about some other items. She said she would look at the post office.

My husband got his at Marietta Hearing and is very satisfied. He paid more for his than a friend paid at Hear-Rite. As far as we can tell, they are basically the same hearing aid. The difference in price, is that husband's comes with free everything for 3 years, including batteries. Friend's were just the hearing aids. Both got their hearing aids just a little over year ago. I am so pleased to know that Betty Peterson got jail time. It should have been a lot more. Cherokee County says their records only go back to 2006, so she only has to reimburse what they know from then. She scammed me in the 1990's so I know that it went on that long.
