  1. After serving our country, that they could do better than a min. wage job.
  2. Dr. Dobo is not in Paulding; but, he is with Marietta Dermatologist, Powder Springs office, which is just over the Cobb line by Lost Mtn. Park. He is just too wonderful for words.
  3. I am not an Obama fan; but, I am actually pleased that he won. There were 4 illegal immigrants in the running. I even wrote the editor of Time questioning how they could name a crimanal.
  4. Try MUST, in Marietta. They feed a lot of people on Christmas, just get less attention than Hosea
  5. How many people do you expect to live at the apartment. I may of one. I is suitable for 1 person.
  6. The pass though charge is and has always been on every bill. It is varable, so changes every month. I have talked to several gas suppliers, as well as friend that works for AGL. No one has been able to explain to me how the rate is figured. AGL even said that your rate is mostly like going to be different than even your next door neighbor.
  7. You will have to leave the county, I think. There are 2 French Rest. in Marietta. I think they both have onion soup. I know the one on the 120 Loop across from the CVS has it. I can never remember the name of it; but, it rear near the car wash and the same side of the road.
  8. It is also at Roberts Elem. and East Paulding Middle and East Paulding High. I know 6 people in a family that is very ill and they have 1 child, in each of these schools. I went to a meeting at Moses Middle due to the parent of the EP Middle being unable to attend, due to this illness and they mentioned a problem there too.
  9. I saw this on the news. Hope the thieves face charges.
  10. Are your currently with GA Natural Gas? I think this is for new customers only. I think the offer is still good. You can go to their webstie to see if they are still offering the 54 cents for new customers.
  11. I know someone that has lived there 3 years with no issues. A Hiram Police officer lives above him, so there is a Hiram patrol car that is often parked in front of his apt. He says they are quick on maintenance and the grounds always looks nice, which he considers a plus.
  12. During the building boom we always bought it by tractor trailer load for $300 a load. When the building stopped we have not been able to find any, which has been several years. We found it was cheaped to use natural gas, since small loads are just too expensive. We have not used our Buck Stove for the last 2 winters.
  13. I got my from Gas South at 57 cents a therm. Ga. Natural Gas offered me 54 cents; but, the customer charge was twice as high as Gas South, so went ahead and went with them.
  14. Both my husband and I have had the regular sugery covered by Medicare and our supp. insurance. Neither of us had any problems and it has been great. Recovery time is about a month as far as lifting etc. Dr. Benedict does not recommend the special lens. Being older than dirt, most of our friends have had the surgery. The only ones that have had a problem is the ones that have gone for the special lens. One even had to have lens removed, after spending all that money.
  15. First let me say I was raised in a Union family. My Father, GF and GGF all worked for the railroad and were members of the UTU. Even my Father said the Unions had out lived their usefulness. I think there are two sides to this story. I am sure there was miss management, as well as the Union was unyielding. The snack cake truck drivers could not delivery the bread items and vise versa. The bread drivers could not off load the bread, they had to have a rider in the truck to off load the bread. So, I am sure there were a lot more efficient ways to manage things on both sides.
  16. Several years ago a no knock warrant was served on a neighbor. There was 7 to 8 police cars that showed up at the same time. Numerous police went onto the porch at the same time. Thye shouted police, very, very loud and then kicked the door in. If it had been my house, I am pretty sure that I would have had a clue that it really was the police.
  17. Each time my gas comes up for renewal, I check to see where I can get it the cheapest. I always seem to end up with Gas South. The thing you have to really watch is the customer service fee. Some charge as much at $12.95. My customer service fee is $3.95 @ Gas South and I am paying 57 cents a therm.
  18. Paulding County does require 5 acres. You can go to their website and read the rules. My neighbor has chickens and has had them since the 70's. He only has 2 acres. Another neigbor reported him to the Marshall. The Marshall came out and issued a citation with a fine of up to $10,000. I researched this for hime. He had to get a lawyer and go to court. He had over 50 signatures on a petition that he had the chickens since the 70's. The judge did grandfather him in, since he had the chickens prior to this law.
  19. Of course they are failing. Election time. Lets see if the Bummer can get them back to George Bush price of $1.89 per gallon.
  20. Apparently, SS or least Medicare does check at some point. My neigbor was 96 and had never used Medicare. He got a letter saying that they were canceling the Medicare and stopping his SS check since he was deceased. It was quite a process to convience them, no he was still alive and well, just did not believe in doctors.
  21. Murphy Oil, the gas station in front of Walmart, has it listed on their sign that they have them.
  22. As I understand, it will be open by appointment only. I think what we really need is a new Secretary of State. I think Brian Kemp has made the most poor decisions of any Sect. of State to date. I called his office last week to complain. Guess what the person I spoke to, spoke so poor English that I could not make her understand what I was complaining about and I am clueless as what she was trying to say to me. I finally just hung up on her.
  23. I have eaten there on several occassions. They used to be very good. The last time I ate there, there was so much chicken and veggies, with no gravy, that it was dry I could not eat it, so have not been back. I do recommend the pot pie at the French Bakery, on the Marietta Loop. It is kind of across from the CVS. If you are old Marietta, then you probaly know where Kirk's Grocery was years ago. They are in that space. With I could remember the name of it, as I do eat there often. We just call it the French Bakery.
