Should superior court and magistrate judges have lifetime appointments? Judges that are appointed by governors and then run unopposed for 20-30 years have an antiquated mindset. In the 21st Century, judges are on the wrong side of history. It is time these judges are replaced with a fresh mindset. Having term limits would go a long way towards accomplishing this. There certainly is no shortage of lawyers to replace them. Until term limits can be implemented, recall elections may be necessary to remove some judges.

Clearly corruption runs rampant through Georgia's judiciary. For all those that are caught, what of those that are not caught? When judges so frequently run in elections unopposed, judge's should absolutely have term limits.

This is so accurate it should be taught in high school. This is one of the reasons why marriage is going to be a thing of the past along with two parent households. The greed, corruption, collusion, racketeering and profiteering that goes on in family court has eroded the moral fabric of society. Just because someone is a judge doesn't mean that person has or exercises good judgment. Also, doesn't mean that person should be a judge. Exactly why judges shouldn't run unopposed and if they do they should have to receive X number of votes in relation to the total electorate. If you don't have X number of votes your seat should be vacated and put up for grabs without a designated incumbent.

It takes time but change can happen. CT reporter Anne Stevenson's efforts to expose corruption in Connecticut courts yields a joint initiative by 5 federal agencies. Help us bring change to Georgia. If you have or know of a troubling story from Paulding or Cobb courts, please share it. While judges and lawyers may cower behind court reporters falling on their swords, common sense tells us there is more to the story. Change is coming to Georgia courts. Citizen participation is key to expediting this cause.

It's all about the money. Have a son? You can be stuck with child support for a child you have no rights to see. Few states have grandparent rights to visitation but we (Parental Alienation Dynamics, TFRM, My Advocate Center, Family Access- Fighting for Children's Rights) are working to change that. It's all about the money but you won't find out until you are walking in those shoes.

There is more to come on Georgia's court reporters. Gwinnett County and other counties most of us are familiar with. It's fascinating that a judge would say these women should be held to a higher standard. Judges and lawyers read the transcripts so you mean to tell me they didn't know what the formatting should be? I'm calling BS. There should be more indictments for racketeering in Georgia Courts.

Ryan Thomas provides insight into the tools of parental alienation (emotional and psychological child abuse). All of these keys are spot on but he leaves out the need for an enabling, gullible if not corrupt judge. Kangaroo courts are easily the fourth key to parental alienation. If one parent is just a bitter parent who just didn't get their way, why punish parents for speaking out? Why put gag orders on these parents if judges and lawyers are doing the right thing? Why target activist parents? If you have nothing to hide, these "sour grape parents" will only make you look good, right? Far too frequently judges believe they are above the law. These are traffic court judges but it is no different in family/superior court. The judiciary is just as corrupt as any other branch of gov't. Probably even more so...

Sadly this is happening in our courts locally and globally. This is a beautiful speech by a young lady who had been alienated from her father but she refused to give up as did her dad. Her dad even went to prison as a result of courtroom corruption. Courts and lawyers kept things stirred up to profit from her family's grief.
