  1. All the hot air from the "experts" has contributed mightily.
  2. One of the problems I had initially with a CPAP is the fact that it is a constant pressure, meaning I had to exhale against pressure. I got a BiPAP for a while, which dropped the pressure as soon as I stopped inhaling, allowing me to exhale against a lower pressure. Then, I got an VPAP, Auto which is also a BiPAP, but it also automatically titrates itself to t he pressure I need. It will start off very low when I put the mask on and then it will adjust itself to whatever pressure I need at that moment while I am asleep. It is the home version of what the sleep study centers use.
  3. Having spent many years in the photo industry, I have a pretty good idea of how copyrights work. 1. The image and all rights pertaining thereto belong to the PHOTOGRAPHER, not the subject. It is automatically copyrighted at the instant the shutter closes on the camera. Photographers do not have to "register" the copyright. It is theirs. Period. 2. Copies (prints) that the photographer sells or distributes are actually a "license" to use the photographer's image. That is why you can NOT take a photograph into a camera shop/photo lab and have copies made. The copyright is not t
  4. Hey, I shook hands with Saxby Chambliss. I know John Ashcroft personally, and my Sunday School teacher when I was a boy was the Governor of Missouri. Maybe I can be a "correspondent" or sumpthin'?
  5. I have one of those knee scooters gathering dust in the basement. SWMBO broke her ankle last fall, and was supposed to use the scooter. I think it made one trip from the living room to the kitchen and back....then nada. let me know if you need one. You can have it for cheap.
  6. I created my own forum for TP and ZC to post in. It's called "Ignore List".
  7. I'm involved in selling a business. Mentioned it to a local attorney who is well known on this forum, and he asked to look over the contracts. I want to tell all of you that he brought up and solved problems that I would never have thought of and has undoubtedly saved me 10x his fee in just aggravation and grief. Thanks, Pigpen. You da' man.
  8. "If you aren't back out on the street in 30 seconds, I'm letting this dog out" seems to work really well.
  9. Could someone please point out to me the part of the Constitution that guarantees me the right to never be offended?
  10. There's nothing quite like Jefftown. Go see a facebook page called "you might be from Jefferson City if..." Some great photos of the town and lots of history and your friend might even be mentioned there.
  11. You mean like the two doofusses we just "re-elected"? I'll take Glenn with all his (past or current) defects over anything we have in office now.
  12. If I recall correctly, the coroner is the only one who can arrest the sheriff. I'm not even sure if GHP or GBI can do that.
  13. I think I know where you live. Those three face out onto E.Paulding Dr.? Those houses are an embarrassment to the entire county.
  14. He was just beating the rush. There will be thousands jumping off bridges and buildings if Odumbo gets re-elected.
  15. Apparently Wall Street hasn't read your link. Apple Stock is at an all-time high.
  16. From a different perspective, I deal with auto insurance companies every day in auto glass claims. The absolute worst to work with is Allstate. State Farm, OTH, is the absolute best when it comes to smoothly handling a claim and getting the insured taken care of. We do a good bit of glass business at body shops. Those shops tell me they like working with State Farm, Geico, Nationwide, and USAA. Now, all that is on the property damage side of a claim. Liability issues are a different thing, and I can't speak to those issues.
  17. Nothing would surprise me about anything Progressive does. Their CEO is a noted left-wing nut in the same mold as George Soros. He is a huge donor to ACLU and to Obama's campaigns. Plus, that "Flo" in their ads is the most obnoxious character on TV.
  18. Well, the first mailer wasn't much more than a recitation of Carruth's property tax (alleged) liens. Nothing "icky" there. Unless you want to count the respective portraits of the candidates. But, there's still time....
  19. Here's a classic example of an unarmed man getting into a battle of wits. Be nice to him, Pigpen. He has no idea who he's messing with.
  20. You may also want to just clear your cache in the browser. I'd start there before I did any of the other things. I only use Foxfire, here's how to do it in that browser. Tools/Options/Advanced/Clear Now. I have my laptop set for 1024MB of cache (I gig), but when it gets 350-400 MB stored, the machine slows down. If you use IE, someone else maybe can tell you how to clear the cache.
  21. When I was in Journalism school at Mizzou, I was assigned to the sports desk at the Columbia Missourian, which is a daily newspaper published by the MU Journalism School. It was a Saturday night and the Missouri State Boys' Basketball Tournament was going on. The two Class A finalist teams presented the most difficult headline I ever had to write. The two teams were Climax Springs and Conception Junction. I could NOT write a headline that didn't have the entire newsroom rolling on t he floor. The typical sports language like "pounds" or "slips by" or whatever was too much double ent
  22. Man, Pigpen, you have a set! I wouldn't have dared venture into that den of thieves. Hope you were CCW..
