Uhhhh....I repeat, SPEED QUEEN. My link Speed Queen is to laundry equipment what Checker is to taxicabs. May not be the prettiest stuff out there, but it lasts and lasts and lasts. Does what it is designed to do and doesn't disappoint you along the way.

We got our SpeedQueen from Sewell Appliance in Sandy Springs. Ours is model AWN432, Variable water levels and an extra rinse option. With a houseful of dogs, our laundry stuff takes a beating. My spousal unit did the research on SQ on line and got glowing reviews from other dog fanciers. One woman we know in FL bought the SQ set and put a 3 month old front loader set out at the curb. The SQ may not have all the bling and fancy settings, but it works perfectly. You owe it to yourself to make the trip to Sandy Springs and see one for yourself.

We, too, had a Maytag. Big name, not much quality. About a year ago, we bought a SpeedQueen top loader. This thing has a 3 year warranty. Built like a tank. It washes stuff CLEAN, it is quiet, and reasonably priced. Not many places carry them, we had to go half way across Atlanta to a dealer. I was a bit apprehensive about buying a "no-name" product, but this is the company which makes commercial laundromat equipment. Built to stand up to a beating. Couldn't be happier. If I remember, it cost about $650.

PM me. I have one you can borrow.

While I generally agree with what you said, most LEO's are not quick to break out the handcuffs based on somebody else's say-so without some pretty strong evidence. I'd wager that the percentage of published mugshots of those who were falsely accused/erroneous arrest is less than 1 in 10,000. The dismissal of a case does not always indicate absolute innocence of the arrested person. The accuser/LEO may not have showed up in court, the evidence was weak, etc. and the DA decided to dismiss because it was a case he couldn't win. Doesn't mean that the arrest was illegit. Not Guilty is diffe

Google ain't the only place you aren't looking good. You looked in the mirror recently?

There is also a site called vinelink.com. You can select by state and enter either a full or partial name and see if that individual is incarcerated. Only a few GA counties are participants, but if you are interested in inmates in FL or WA or TX, you can find them and be notified if they are about to be released.

That repair should take 15 minutes at the worst. That same thing happened to one of our kitchen drawers a couple of years ago. I pulled the nails/staples, glued it with Gorilla glue, clamped it together. Took me all of 15 minutes. It's the 2nd most used drawer in the kitchen, and it's still fixed. That glue is stronger than all the nails or screws you could use. Forget all the ideas about new wood or screws or whatever. No point in complicating something that is easy.
-
Suggest that you remove the screws that are holding the drawer front to the inner piece of particle board, That way you can get the body to sit flat and square, The fasteners look like long brads from an air nailer, If they are not staples, grab them with some pliers and just pull them on through. gorilla glue is the answer. Be SURE to dampen both pieces before you apply the glue. You will not need nails or fasteners, That glue is tuff stuff,

From a slightly different perspective, I had something happen yesterday with mug shots on line. I have an application for employment laying on my desk for a glass installation tech. While I didn't have any openings, he was experienced and I decided to hold the app in case something came up. The application asks if the person has a valid drivers license and advises them that they will have to pass a drug screen and background check prior to any employment offer, Well, this individual appears yesterday morning on the local mug shot site with 8 charges, No license, DUI, open conta

Some quick calculations about the circumference of the tires show that the 65 series is about 5.5" bigger around than the 60 series. That is, one revolution of the tire will take you 5" further down the road. Just a suggestion: take a look at the owner's manual. Often the mfg uses several tire companies for OEM and the specs in the book vs. what actually came on the truck could be wildly different. I had a new Dodge Dakota that had OEM tires which were a bastard size that only Good-For-A-Year had made for a couple of seasons. Went to Michelin in a common size and had no problems w

Really? Who, pray tell, would you anoint with that distinction? Compared to you, Forrest Gump looks like Einstein. And at least, he was funny. -
I have a Netgear dual band 3700 that has worked flawlessly for at least 3 years. It's on 24/7.

Drivel is the result of having diarrhea of the mouth and constipation of the brain at the same time. And, multiple shots of Jagermeister is not the cure. -
Doggie, What? The dogs sleep right at my feet.

I don't know about you, AGG, but the rest of us would consider hanging TP as an answer to fervent prayer.

Unless, of course, management continues to turn a blind eye toward those certain trolls individuals that continue to inflate the hit count. -
SWMBO has a Federal Thrift Savings Plan (part of her Fed retirement from CDC), Everything in that fund has not been taxed, and the TSP performs very poorly. We want to roll it into a Roth IRA that we can manage instead or relying on TSP's slow mismanagement. Just want to know that we are not going to incur some horrific tax liability by doing the roll-over. I am also wondering if we were to cash out the entire balance, would we just owe ordinary tax rate on the amount of the fund that was her contributions, and capital gains on the "profits"? We might just do that instead of a r

I need a referral for a LOCAL accountant (not a book-keeping service) for some tax (long-term capital gains) questions and rolling over a Federal Thrift Savings plan into a Roth. Please PM with referrals, and if there is someone who I should AVOID, your comments in that area will be held confidential. Thankyaverymuch.

In and out of Mt.Tabor in less than 20 minutes. Left the building singing "Bye, bye, Barak" at the top of my lungs.

I'm taking a SWAG at this: Try clearing your browser cache and also increasing the automatic cache management. If you are using Firefox, click on tools/options/advanced/ and then clear. I haven't used IE in years, so somebody else will have to tell you how to do that. It sounds to me like your CPU is loaded down and shuffling a bunch of processes and while doing so, misses a keystroke.. You may have a bunch of HP's "features" running that you don't need.
