  1. About darn time - you GO, girl!
  2. I don't use Google - I use Yahoo! A search for The Thrift Store Hiram turned it up as the first entry. Thanks for donating - Birdmom has a nice little shop.
  3. The Thrift Store 740 Paulding Plaza Dallas Ga 30132 770-505-7707 (770-443-3231 Fax) Sorry, I'm not familiar with Hwy. 61, so I wouldn't know how to give directions. Give 'em a call - I'm sure someone there can help.
  4. Congratulations and good luck! I'll be sure to tell my HH about the store - he's a true book fiend. Will you be carrying all genres or concentrating on certain ones?
  5. Is that the same thing as *seceding*?
  6. I've also heard that it's cheaper if she has her own policy and is insured on only one vehicle (if you're a multi-car family). CC, is that true?
  7. I don't really carry purses - my "purse" is a zip-up wallet that I can carry in my pocket, or a little catchall that can clip to beltloops - but the purses I *have* purchased have been bought because I liked the design, having nothing to do with a "name." When the brand matters, I buy directly from the source rather than trust it to a third party. So that's how *I* shop.
  8. The only Chinese buffet I know of besides the one in Hiram is at the corner of Canton and Piedmont Roads in Marietta (can't remember the name of the place - sorry). Imperial Palace in Hiram (in the notch of Business 6 and 278) is pretty good, though.
  9. Welcome to Paulding.com, camgie! Thanks for posting this. My husband and I love Texas Roadhouse - maybe we'll make it by one of those evenings.
  10. My HH and I were there last night, and we enjoyed the show very much. I would encourage everyone who has heard of Joe's shows and *thought* about attending to please do so - he is a polished performer who keeps things moving and includes tricks and illusions that all ages can appreciate. I definitely got the impression that EVERYONE there was having a good time, regardless of their ages. The Dallas Theater is a handsome venue, clean and stylish, with plenty of parking just down the street. (That had been a concern of mine.) A nice, uncomplicated evening all 'round!
  11. I hope she is indeed safe. That said, if indeed she just decided to "disappear" for a time, I hope she'll come to realize that very few of us inhabit our lives alone ... no matter how isolated and friendless one may feel, there almost always ARE people who care about us and worry when all is not well.
  12. I donate primarily to the Paulding Humane Society. IMO, people can always find a way to get by, but domesticated animals *need* the help of people to survive and thrive. I also donate to other organizations occasionally - just depends on who's asking and what organization is involved.
  13. Please read this page from the DDS website to see what documents you will need to replace your driver's license. If you decide that you wish to change your license number, you *must* present a copy of the police report. Be sure that the officer who took the report has listed your license among the items stolen. One last thing: it could have been worse. The person could have taken your keys too, and have had access to your car AND your home. I know it's hard to see a silver lining in this situation, but it truly could have been a more dangerous situation all around. I'm glad it wa
  14. My HH thinks Dagmar is cute - he has a thing for redheads.
  15. I bought two tickets ... don't know if I'll be able to actually attend, but I'd hate to see you have to cancel the show.
  16. And if her OCD-ness includes you doing *your* part, would that still be true?
  17. That's a great service - if they advertised that more, the bus service might enjoy more popularity.
  18. If it weren't a state facility, I'd be all for sending him to the tent jail in Arizona.
  19. Yeah ... kinda in the same way Elvis Presley wasn't "that big of a deal."
  20. I'm pretty sure it said they were closed *for* the Fourth.
  21. Actually, when I'm going to reply/comment to someone's inquiry, I almost always DO read the entire thread. Sometimes important and relevant info appears later. And if someone has already posted something that *I* was going to post, I almost always don't bother to post it again. That's why in 5 1/2 years on P.com, I have ONLY <8K posts.
  22. ^^^ You need to read ALL the posts before commenting ... this is a *family* vacation. The third "adult" is their 13-year-old daughter.
